Blogiversary Giveaway

Hey there, everybody!
So sorry this post is getting up a week late --
My two-year blogiversary was January 6th,
and though I picked up all the goodies for my giveaway
that day, I wasn't able to film the video until today.

With these short winter days, I've been leaving
the house while it's still dark out,
and returning home when it's dark again.

Anyway, here it is!

One tiny note:
I misspoke and said the ribbon was three yards,
it's actually three feet, or ONE yard.
Sorry about that.

So as I mentioned, there are a couple different
ways you can enter:

1. Leave a comment here on this blog post
letting me know that you are a follower.

2. Leave a comment on this YouTube video
letting me know you are a subscriber.

I've also decided to add a third option:

3. Spread the word through the social media
of your choice, whether it be your blog, facebook,
twitter, etc. Just leave me a comment either place
and let me know you've done that for a third entry.

You still must be a blog follower for any entries to count,
as this is a thank you to my followers giveaway.

I'll leave it open for one week, until midnight
Monday, January 23rd,
and announce the winner on Tuesday the 24th.

Best of luck to all of you!
And thank you again for your support!
It means the world to me.

Lawnscaping Challenge #26

Hello!

Sponsored by the wonderful Lawn Fawn!

The winner of this fun challenge will receive
this generous prize from our sponsor:

With all the new sets being released at CHA,
what could be more perfect?

On to my card:

I wanted to showcase this beautiful patterned paper by
October Afternoon. It really needed little embellishing.
I took two snowflake stamps from Frosties and
clear embossed them on my two focal patterns --
the OA, plus the text print from Fancy Pants.
I also added a few extra snowflakes on the FP
paper with Jenni Bowlin's Speckled Egg ink.

I also took my sentiment from that stamp set,
as well as the little mittens from
Making Frosty Friends, which I colored with Copics.
I added some ribbon, snowflake buttons, and gems
and called it a night. ;o)

I hope you enjoyed it!

Now please hop on over to the rest of the design team
and check out their Winter Wonderland creations:
and our sweet and sassy guest designer,

And don't forget to stop by the
for all the details on how to enter.

Have a great day!

Start Every Morning With A Smile

Hello again!
I'm back already!

Like I said yesterday, that
is just too good an opportunity to pass up!

I had to make another card.

For this one, I was sitting there staring at
Admit One, waiting for inspiration to strike.
But my eyes kept roving over toward my new
I only recently got it and I wanted to play with it!

Well, my eyes kept darting back and forth,
back and forth, and suddenly -- an IDEA!

This is what I came up with:

It was a little time-consuming, but totally worth it.
What I did was stamp connecting rows of the ticket,
make a mask of the ticket with the center cut out,
then used all the adorable breakfasty items
to make Breakfast In Bed ticket strips.

I colored each of the images in with Copics,
then I perforated between each ticket with a
Tonic perforating tool, and trimmed them out.

Here's a closer look at the tickets.

I embossed the background with the blue ribbon
from Admit One, used some yellow Bazzill
Swiss Dots cardstock and made a fun little strip
with the salt and pepper shakers from
Love 'N Breakfast in Jenni Bowlin Lemon Drops ink.

I added some blue gauze from my stash, a bloomer,
May Arts blue gingham ribbon,
Papertrey buttons, and secured the tickets to the card
with some gray and white twine from The Twinery.

I think this would make a super fun gift for
Mother's Day or Father's Day
or your spouse's birthday, or even just because.

When the recipient is feeling like some
extra time in bed and a home-cooked and served
breakfast, all they have to do is tear off the tickets
of the items they want and hand 'em over. ;o)

Anyway, I thought it was fun.
I hope you like it too.

One other quick thing, I forgot to mention
yesterday that this contest only goes through the 6th,
so be sure to head over to the Lawn Fawn blog
and get the info you need to get going on your entries.

There's also TONS of stunning cards to view --
I looked at them all tonight and WOW, what inspiration!
I also found some great new blogs to visit,
and maybe some new bloggy friends to be made. :o)

Take some time and do that if you get a chance.

Have a great day, everybody!

Hi there, everyone!

Popping in to share another card with y'all.

It was too good an opportunity to pass up.

Here's the first card I made:

Hope you like it!

Lawnscaping Challenge #25

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
And welcome one and all to
It's Lawnscaping's Birthday!

I remember so clearly how nervous I was
last year on this day when my first ever post as
a Design Team member of Lawnscaping went up.
I so wanted to do a good job and inspire people
with my little creations.
I hope I've done that for you guys!

Anyway, we're here today to celebrate,
and helping us do that is the wondeful...

who has generously offered up this prize
to the winner of our birthday challenge:

And not only that, but we've got a very
special gift for every single one of our followers
so definitely be sure to stop over there when you're through.

On to my card:

I made this little cutie using Lawn Fawn's
stamp sets, along with My Mind's Eye
Lime Twist patterned paper.
I also added in some May Arts ribbon and a
button from Papertrey Ink.

The balloons were colored with Copics.
I'm really happy with how the shading turned out.

Now, please hop on over to see what the rest
of the design team has come up with for their
birthday celebration projects!
and our guest designer,
the very lovely Ruby McGuire!

And don't forget to stop back at the
for all the details on how to enter
and to pick up our gift to you --
our thanks for being such wonderful supporters
through this past year.

We love you guys and we couldn't
do it without you!

Wishing you all a happy, crafty 2012!
