Let's Party - Lawnscaping Challenge #114

Good morning, friends! Welcome to Lawnscaping Challenge #114: One Layer! But before I get into the challenge, I just want to direct your attention to the BEAUTIFUL new artwork on my blog! My crazy talented friend Caitlin surprised me for my birthday with all new hand-drawn graphics for my blog, Facebook page, and YouTube channel! She even made me new intro and end cards for videos! And these designs are so me! From the watercolor background to the birch trees, to the paint brush leaves, and even the little red squirrels that I love so much. I'm just blown away by her generosity. Aren't they just gorgeous?

But back to the challenge. Now, I am definitely not good at CAS cards, which means that if I'm going to achieve a layered look without any layers, I'm going to need to do some masking. I used both the Lawn Fawn Party Animal and Holiday Party Animal stamp sets to create my scene, framing it with the polaroid from Say Cheese. I built it inward by stamping my forefront images first, like the bird, and masking and stamping until my images were complete. I colored it all in with Copics, then masked off the polaroid and stamped some additional images in a very light warm gray pigment ink.

Please head over to the Lawnscaping Challenge blog and check out the rest of the amazing design team samples and don't forget to link up your one-layer projects to play along!

Huge thanks to Lawn Fawn for sponsoring this challenge with a FREE stamp set of the winner's choice! Who wouldn't love more Lawn Fawny goodies?

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have an amazing day!

Many Thanks - Lawnscaping Challenge #113

Hi friends! Happy Monday! Welcome to Lawnscaping Challenge #113: Texture! This is also our first challenge since the new Lawn Fawn release, so of course, I had to use my favorite stamp set of the bunch, Happy Harvest. This little scarecrow just makes me smile so big! And I love all his crow buddies too.

Texture is probably one of my most favorite things to add to a card, so this idea came together pretty quickly for me. I added some corrugated card stock for my main textural element, but also some button twine, and even the bit of stitching detail around the ovals.

Huge thanks to Ellen Hutson, LLC for sponsoring us with a $25 gift certificate to our winner! Maybe you can pick up this little guy if you haven't already. And if you have, well, there's lots more cuteness to choose from.

Please stop by the Lawnscaping Challenge blog to check out the other amazing design team creations and link up your textured projects to play along. I can't wait to see what you all create!
