Hey friends, it's time for a new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this one is Inspired by a Book, Movie, or Song. I'm not going to lie, I absolutely wanted to use the new It's a Bird! stamp set from Lawn Fawn, so I started brainstorming ideas about what those cute little mice could be searching for. A nursery song from preschool came to mind, "Going on a Bear Hunt." I used to love to do all the motions! So I pulled together additional images from Heart Tree and Snow Much Fun to bring the scene to life.
I colored all of the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then, I created a background by blending Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink over the Cloudy Stencil onto a panel of Bristol that I cut down with the Small Stitched Rounded Rectangle Stackables. I also trimmed down an extra panel with the grassy hill of the Mushroom Border and blended on Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink.
For my sentiments, I stamped one from Car Critters down at the bottom of the grass panel and adhered that to the sky background. I also used All the Speech Bubbles along with the Simply Celebrate Critters Add-on to add some additional phrases. I glued the background to a Chocolate Bar card base and added my images with a mix of foam tape and liquid glue.
I really hope you like this one! If you'd like to see how it came together, click the video thumbnail below, or you can find the tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty.
