Trying Amazon Alcohol Markers
Hey friends, I'm back with another video in my Alcohol Marker Comparison Deep Dive Series. Today I'm trying out a 48 count set from Amazon. So a better range of markers should equal a better set of markers, right? Not necessarily. Again, I'll be making swatches of all of these markers and coloring a few images to showcase their abilities. Check out the video tutorial below to see what you think! You can also find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. Thanks for watching!

You're A Treasure - Lawn Fawnatics #202
Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, and this time we've got a Color Inspiration photo to inspire you. This palette was definitely giving me tropical vibes, so I decided to do a mermaid scene with a pirate treasure twist, combining images from Mermaid For You, Ahoy, Matey, Fintastic Friends, Critters From the Past, Flamingo Together, and Manatee-rific. I colored them all with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.
For the background, I started by blending Salvaged Patina, Mermaid Lagoon, and Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide Ink onto a panel of Bristol Cardstock. Then I die cut the Riverside Backdrop: Landscape out of another piece of Bristol, and blended on Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs, splattering it with the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors to give it a sandy texture and a bit of gold shine. I used the Ocean Wave Accents to cut waves into the water and adhered these two pieces together.
I stamped a sentiment in the center of the sky, then glued all of my images into the scene with liquid glue. Once I had it filled in nicely, I adhered the focal panel to a Speckled Eggshell card base and added a Stitched Rectangle Frame of Apricot Cardstock and finished off the card with some Stardust Stickles.

Feliz Navidad Card - Lawn Fawnatics #201
Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, and this time we're bringing you Christmas in July! I've been dying to ink up the new Treat Cart Add-on: Tacos, so I decided to do a Feliz Navidad card, combining it with images from Treat Cart, Treat Cart Add-on: Coffee, Critters in the Desert, and All the Speech Bubbles. They were all stamped in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink, colored with Copic markers, and trimmed out with the matching dies.
For the background, I cut out a wide strip of Bristol Cardstock and did a simple watercolor wash on it using Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink. I glued this to a Speckled Eggshell card base, then trimmed down two pieces of Favorite Flannel patterned paper, and popped those up with foam tape to frame it above and below. I added a thin detail edge and a Stitched Scalloped Border of Noble Fir to help set it off.
I die cut my sentiment out of the Noble Fir and Lobster Cardstock using Finley's ABCs and adhered them to the bottom panel, then added my images with a mix of foam tape and liquid glue. And of course, I had to finish off the card with some Stardust Stickles, since all holiday cards need a bit of sparkle!

Unforgettable Birthday Card
Hey friends, today I'm bringing you a sweet birthday card using one of my favorite older stamp sets, Mama Elephant Ella & Friends. I just love that big, beautiful elephant and her tiny mouse companion. I added in a gift from Cozy Christmas and colored everything with Copic markers, then trimmed them out with the matching dies. This video is also Part 2 from Monday's Plan a Card with Me Video, so check out that one if you want to see how the idea for this card came together.
For the background, I cut out a piece of Bristol Cardstock and did a simple watercolor wash using Tumbled Glass and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Inks. Once that was dry, I stamped a sentiment at the bottom. Then I cut out some patterned paper from the Simple Stories Celebrate! 6x8 pad with the Mama Elephant Flirty Scallop Frames and added a contrasting pattern behind.

Then I took a sheet of the Gleeful Gradients 6x6 patterned paper and stamped the palm tree silhouettes from Flamingo Together in black ink.
Then I cut the Foursquare Backdrop: Portrait out of Black Licorice Cardstock and the ground pieces using the Sandy Beach Accents. I popped those up over the background with foam tape. Then I added my images and speech bubbles to each window and finished off the sentiment using Finley's ABCs cut out of Guava Cardstock. A little Stardust Stickles was the finishing touch.

Hey friends, today I have a beautiful underwater scene to share using the adorable Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Mermaid Isla. I adore this sweet mermaid, and she was so much fun to color! I combined her with images from Under the Sea Creatures, masking off to create a one-layer scene, then colored it in, background and all, with Copic markers.
When it was done, I trimmed down the focal panel with the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables to give it that nice finished edge and glued that to a Hyacinth card base. Sky's the Limit Card - Lawn Fawnatics #198
Hey friends, it's the first Monday of a brand-new month, and that means it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This is a fun one: it's Up, Up, and Away. For my card, I combined the hot air balloons from Flying High with the cute little birds from Heart Tree and It's a Bird! Since I'm still recovering from a neck injury, I kept the color palette really limited and shared several tips throughout the video for creating simplified cards that don't look too plain. I hope that you find them helpful!
After coloring the images with Copics and trimming them out with the matching dies, I created a focal panel by trimming down some Spiffy Speckles 6x6 paper with the Large Stitched Rounded Rectangle Stackables. I added some Spring Showers clouds and stamped part of my sentiment. The rest of the word was die cut out of Lobster Cardstock using Finley's ABCs.
I popped the focal panel up with foam tape over some more patterned paper from Pint-sized Patterns: Summertime and What's Sewing On layered onto a Moonstone card base. I added my images and finished the card off with some tiny iridescent stars and a bit of Stardust Stickles.
I really hope you enjoy this one! You can watch the video tutorial by clicking the thumbnail below, or find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. Thanks so much for checking it out! Tulip Bouquet Card - Lawn Fawnatics #197
Hey friends! It's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, and it's Dies Only this round! I've been itching to use the Terrific Tulips, so I knew I had to start there. I trimmed the blooms out of Lilac, Sticky Note, and Ballet Slippers Cardstock and added shading with Shaded Lilac, Mustard Seed, and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink. I cut the stems and leaves from Cilantro and shaded with Mowed Lawn.
I wanted to add a sprig of Lovely Lily of the Valley, so I cut the blossoms from Fog Cardstock and the stems and leaves from Algae. To gather my bouquet, I trimmed the Flower Bouquet Wrap from some Bitsy Blooms 6x6 patterned paper, and the bow from Guava Cardstock shaded with Worn Lipstick.
I covered the card base with more Bitsy Blooms patterned paper and added my bouquet at a little angle, leaving room for my Everyday Sentiment Banner with a phrase from Magic Heart Messages. I finished up with a sprinkle of Clear Sequins and some Stardust Stickles.
If you'd like to see how this card came together, click the video thumbnail below, or you can find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope you enjoy it! Don't forget to check out the rest of the design team's Dies Only projects and link up your own to play along.
