Happy Barkday Card - Lawn Fawnatics #192

Hey friends, it's time for one of my favorite Lawn Fawnatics Challenges of the whole year! It's All Things Birthday! I love making birthday cards so this one is right up my alley. Since this week contains both my youngest son's birthday and my dog's birthday, I had to go with a dog themed card. I pulled out Yappy Birthday and the Yappy Birthday Add-on, colored the images with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I decided to lean into the patterned paper for this one, because it always reminds me of wrapping paper on gifts! I pulled out two patterns from the Pint-sized Patterns Summertime 6x6. I trimmed the blue design down with the largest Small Stitched Rounded Rectangle Stackables and the rainbow stripe with my paper trimmer to fit my Cilantro card base.

I stamped my sentiment directly on the focal panel and popped it up with foam tape over the striped print. Then I adhered my images with liquid glue, added the confetti bits to fill in all the empty spaces, and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click the video thumbnail below, or you can find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope you enjoy it! Don't forgot to visit the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog to see what the rest of the design team created to inspire you, and to link up your own birthday-themed projects to play along. We can't wait to see what you create!

Smooth Recovery Card - Lawn Fawn Feature

Hey friends, today I'm super honored to be featured over on the Lawn Fawn blog and YouTube channel with a Get Well Soon card featuring the new Treat Cart Add-on: Smoothies & Juice and Bitsy Blooms 6x6 pad. I'll have all the other supplies I used in my post over there, so I hope you'll check it out. I created this card for a dear friend who just underwent emergency brain surgery. April Daisy Fairy Card

Hey friends, today I've got another Spring card to share, featuring the Sweet November April Daisy Fairy. I just love her so much! Sweet November actually has twelve of these fairies, one for every month of the year. But this one just really called to me. I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and added in some scene building elements from Horizon Lines - Wildflower Meadow.

I trimmed down the panel with the Lawn Fawn Lacy Rectangle Stackables and then masked off the edges just past the stitching detail to keep them nice and white. Then I colored the entire scene with my Copic markers. I stamped a sentiment down at the bottom, and then popped the panel up with foam tape over some patterned paper.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, including a full walk-through of the Copic coloring, click the video thumbnail below, or you can find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope you enjoy it! Have an absolutely amazing day!

Happiness Blooms Card - Lawn Fawnatics #191

Hey friends, it's time for a new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, and I am so ready for this one -- it's Spring Fling! It may still be a snowy landscape outside my windows, but it is definitely already Spring in my heart. I am so ready for sunshine and flowers and color! For this card I pulled together images from Veggie HappyGarden Before 'n Afters, and Butterfly Kisses. I stamped them in Crunchy Leaf Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I did a simple watercolor wash onto a panel of Bristol Cardstock with Broken China and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink. After that was dry, I glued it to the front of a Speckled Eggshell card base. Then I trimmed down some patterned paper from the What's Sewing On? 6x6 pad. I cut down the floral print with my paper trimmer, and used a Stitched Scalloped Border on the pale blue pattern and popped them up with foam tape.

I added my images to the watercolored panel with a mix of liquid glue and foam tape. Then I stamped a sentiment in more Crunchy Leaf Ink and trimmed it down with an Everyday Sentiment Banner. I really love the soft, storybook style this card has! I really hope that you enjoy it too.

Altered Mini Composition Notebooks - Lawn Fawnatics #190

Hey friends, today I'm bringing you a video that I have been wanting to make for such a long time! I'm going to be re-creating my very first video on YouTube! Altering Mini Composition Notebooks is where Christy Gets Crafty began, and I've been wanting to pay homage to that for years. When I saw that our next Lawn Fawnatics Challenge was Anything but a Card or Tag, I knew this was the perfect opportunity to finally bring that video up to date!

For this project, you'll need to start with some mini composition notebooks. Lots of stores sell them, but I picked up this three pack at Dollar Tree for $1.25. Since filming, I was able to score five more three packs at Dollar General for $1 each! You'll also need some patterned paper, and this gorgeous collection is from the Lawn Fawn What's Sewing On? 6x6 pad. I love the dainty florals in these beautiful pastel shades.

You're also going to need some kind of strong adhesive to attach the papers to the covers and spine. I love using 1/4" Double-sided Tape. There's no mess and it's super strong. I added a ribbon closure for each of these notebooks, to keep the recipients writings a bit more private, and decorated the fronts to give them a little more personality.

I stamped some images and a tiny sentiment from Garden Before 'n Afters and Butterfly Kisses in Crunchy Leaf Ink on the Little Letter die cuts and colored them with Copic markers. If you'd like to see how these came together, click the video thumbnail below, or you can find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope you enjoy it! These make such great gifts or craft fair projects! Don't forget to visit the Lawn Fawnatics blog to see what the rest of the team has created and link up your own projects to play along!

2025 Valentine Card Series #10

Hey friends, today I've got a cute little ghosty card to share for Day 10 of my 2025 Valentine Card Series. This one uses the Pretty Pink Posh Valentine Ghost Friends, along with some extra hearts from Valentine Icons and Valentine Greetings. I colored all of the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I did a simple watercolor wash of Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink on a panel of Bristol Smooth Cardstock. Then I cut the XOXO Pierced Plate out of Lilac Cardstock. I glued that to a Ballet Slippers card base and popped the focal panel up with foam tape. I added my images and sentiment with liquid glue and finished with a sprinkle of clay hearts from the Strawberry Valentine Mix.

I colored everything with Copic markers and trimmed the images out with their matching dies.

I stamped a sentiment at the bottom of the focal panel, then die cut the Flirty Scallop Frame out of some Ballet Slippers Cardstock. 2025 Valentine Card Series #6 - Lawn Fawnatics #189

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this one's got Lots of Heart! We've got a whole inspiration board to inspire your Valentine projects. For my card, I started with the sweet lemon from You're the Zest, stamped it twice and added a different face into each one, to create a cute little couple. I also added in a couple extra leaves from Hang In There. I colored everything with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the focal panel, I cut down a piece of Bristol with the Lacy Rectangle Stackables and blended on a background of Spun Sugar and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink. I stamped a sentiment in the upper right corner, using Henry's Build-A-Sentiment: Love and Jessie's ABCs. The rest of the phrase I die cut using Finley's ABCs.

I created a card base from Ballet Slippers Cardstock and used the Lots of Hearts Background Stencils to add a fun pattern. Then I popped the focal panel up with foam tape and adhered my images and letters with liquid glue. I finished off the card with a trio of hearts from the Heart Garden Border and some Stardust Stickles.

This card is also Day 6 of my 2025 Valentine Card Series, so if you'd like to see how this one came together, click the video thumbnail below, or you can find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. Wild Birthday Card

Hey friends, today I'm taking a little break from Valentine's cards to create a boyish birthday card, which I'm sadly lacking in my stash. For this card, I brought together several sets by Sunny Studio Stamps, including Savanna SafariFabulous FlamingosParty Pups, and Tropical Scenes. I colored them all with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I created a simple watercolor background, by painting Distress Oxide Inks onto Bristol Cardstock. I did a blend of Cracked Pistachio and Forest Moss. Then I chose two patterned papers to layer and used the Sunny Studio Stitched Arch to cut a window in the center. I popped this up on foam tape and added my images, finishing with a few clear sequins.

If you want to see how this card came together, you can find the video tutorial by clicking the thumbnail below or find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope you enjoy it! Thanks so much for stopping by!

2025 Valentine Card Series #4 - Pretty Pink Posh IG Hop

Hey friends, today I'm so honored to be taking part in a hop over on Instagram for the Pretty Pink Posh Valentine Release. Over the next four days, we'll be showcasing all of the new products with loads of inspiration from design team members and guest designers like myself. Make sure you're leaving comments each day as well, as there will be a daily giveaway of a $30 gift card to a random commenter. Winners will be announced on the Pretty Pink Posh account. You'll find the list of today's participants in my Instagram post.

For my card, I'm highlighting the Love Word Shaker and creating a fun, interactive card. I die cut it a whole bunch of times out of red cardstock to build up a well inside, which I filled with Love Shaker Beads. Before I added the top layer of red cardstock, I slipped in a sheet of acetate to create the shaker mechanism. It's easier to show than explain, so definitely check out the video tutorial below!

For the background, I took a sheet of Bristol and trimmed off the top and bottom with the Doily Borders, then stenciled only the heart layer from the Heart and Sprinkles Stencils with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink. I added that to a pink card base and arranged my shaker mechanism over top, then decorated with flowers and leaves from the Valentine Holder Additions. As a final detail, I added a trio of clay heart embellishments from the Strawberry Valentine Mix.

This card is also Day 4 of my 2025 Valentine Card Series, so please check out the video tutorial by clicking the thumbnail below, or you can also find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope you enjoy it! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Fawnie Lots of Heart Week - 2025 Valentine Card Series #3

Hey friends, today I'm so happy to be participating in the Lawn Fawn Lots of Heart Week! All week, we'll be sharing heart or love-themed inspiration over on the Lawn Fawn blog and YouTube channel to get you in the mood for your own Valentine card making! And there will be a daily giveaway to a random commenter as well, so make sure you get yourself entered to win by leaving those comments and showing the designers some love!

For my card, I wanted to focus on the dies and include only minimal stamping. I adore the new  Little Letter dies, and decided to make that the star of the show, by cutting out three of them in Ballet SlippersGuava, and Barn Red Cardstock with the little heart seals to match. I closed up the bottom one, but for the other two, I added the letter insert, which I stamped using the Valentine Mice, which was the FREE with $60 set from the latest release. I colored them with Copic markers.

I die cut the Quilted Heart Backdrop: Portrait out of Speckled Eggshell Cardstock and layered that over a Ballet Slippers card base. I also cut Scripty Love out of more Lobster. The rest of the sentiment I stamped and trimmed out with the smallest Everyday Sentiment Banner, split it in two, and arranged beneath the envelopes on my card front. And of course, I finished up with some Stardust Stickles.

This card is also Day 3 of my 2025 Valentine Card Series, so if you'd like to see how it came together, click the video thumbnail below. Or you can also find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope you enjoy it! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Then I took a piece of Bristol and cut the top and bottom edge with the Doily Borders. I did a simple watercolor wash and stamped a sentiment from Valentine Greetings at the bottom. The rest of the sentiment I white heat embossed onto red cardstock and trimmed into a strip.
