Noel

Merry Christmas, everyone!
Hope you spent your day as peacefully
and as blessed as I did.

This morning we opened a few gifts,
had a delicious brunch,
and then took the dog for a snowy walk
in our local nature park.

After dinner we curled up on the couch
together and watched "It's a Wonderful Life"
followed by a family foosball tournament.
It was perfect.

I wanted to share one last card with you guys,
and wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

There's still a few hours to go for the
so I'm entering this one as well.

Blessings to all!

Papa and Baby Bear

Hey there!
Are you guys all ready for Christmas?
I finally finished up my cards last Saturday
and then worked on the teacher gift card sets
up until last night -- finished in the nick of time!
They went out in the kids backpacks this morning.

I thought I'd share another one of my Christmas cards.
Love this sweet Lili of the Valley image.

I'm entering it in the

It doesn't hurt to try, right?

I hope you all have a very happy holiday season!

Lawnscaping Challenge #48

Welcome to our very last Lawnscaping Challenge of 2012!

What an awesome year of challenges it's been.
Huge thanks to one of our biggest supporters,
the ever incredible Lawn Fawn, who is generously
offering up a free stamp set of the winners choice.
Thanks from the bottom of our hearts, Lawn Fawn!

Here's my card:

No stamping involved on this card at all,
which means I was able to make it in record time,
since time is something I've been awfully short on lately.

For my Lawn Fawn element, I chose this
awesome patterned paper from their Fa La La
Petite Paper Pack -- the last sheet of it I had!
I'm going to have to order another 6x6 for sure.

I thought these Studio Calico wood veneer trees
went so well with these sketchy chevron Lawn Fawn
trees, so I decided to pair them up --
except they definitely needed to get glittered up.
I used a fine glitter on two trees,
a Martha Stewart chunky glitter on the largest tree,
and nail polish -- you read that right --
NAIL POLISH on the silvery tree.

I didn't have any silver glitter,
and what to crafty girls do when we don't have
something we have a vision for?
We improvise.
I colored the wood veneer with a C5 copic marker
just to give the glitter a bit of a colored base,
then applied four thin coats of nail polish over top.

I adhered them all down with glossy accents,
and added a sentiment from another 6x6 pad
from Crate Paper -- the Peppermint Collection?
Something like that.
I just liked it, and it was the perfect shade of red.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my card.
Just wait till you see the rest of the design team's projects!
Head on over to the Lawnscaping Challenge blog
to take a peek and find out how to play along.

I wish you and yours all a very Merry Christmas
and a blessed start to the brand new year!

Carol's Carolers

Hey there!
I'm here with another Christmas card to share.
I bet I am seriously the furthest behind
crafter on the planet!
I have so many more cards to make and
Christmas is just over a week away!

Crazy, right?

Anyway, here's one more I made this week.

This one will be going to my grandma.
Her name is Carol and she loves music,
so I thought it would be perfect for her.

I used my current FAVORITE stamp set,
Iconic Christmas by WPlus9 Designs.

My color palette was inspired by the current

So pretty!

And since I used my current FAVORITE
stamp set,I'm also entering the

Snowflake Mittens

Hey there, everyone,
I'm here with another card today
that I made using a gorgeous
WPlus9 Design set called Winter Wishes.

I wanted to try participating in a new to me
challenge called The 10 Minute Craft Dash
(in which you had to feature red)
which I thought would be super intimidating,
but was actually a blast.
I didn't quite make the ten minute deadline,
but it definitely challenging in a fun way to try.
Maybe next time I'll do it on video.

I'm also once again throwing my hat in the ring
since there are snowflakes (though red)
on my mittens and also on the paper panel behind.
Hey, it doesn't hurt to try, right?

Coon Christmas

Hey everyone!
I'm here today with a card share
using a stamp from my most recent haul video.

There's so much detail, you really need to.

I think it turned out super cute,
so I'd like to enter it in a couple of challenges.
It was one of my New Year's resolutions for 2012
to play along with more challenges,
and as the close of the year approaches,
I realize that I haven't entered a single one.

I'm going to try to make up for lost time. ;o)
First off, Dynamic Duos,
in which you must use red and light green
combined with only neutrals -- I think this qualifies, right?
Gray and brown are both neutral shades.

Also, because I colored the image with my Copics,
I thought I'd try entering the Oozak Challenge,
since I love them and order all my Copics from them.

I found out that Crafter's Companion,
the maker of this adorable image,
also has their own monthly challenge.

And even though it's a MAJOR long shot
(getting close to 700 entries last I checked),
I'm going to throw my hat in the ring for the
because, let's face it, they give out AWESOME prizes!

Here's hoping somebody loves it as much as I do!

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by.

Lawnscaping Challenge #47

Hello there!

Our challenge is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp
who has generously donated a $25 gift certificate
to our winner! Thanks, Simon!

Simon Says Stamp

Here's my project using turquoise, kraft, and red:

and stamped it with Lawn Fawn's
Frosties in Colorbox white pigment ink,
added a belly band with Lawn Fawn paper from
the Fa La La 6x6 petite paper pack,
and stamped Winter Owl as my focal image.
The sentiment is from Bows & Holly.

I hope you like it!

Please stop by the Lawnscaping Challenge blog
to see all the other design team samples
and find out how to play along.

We can't wait to see your projects!

Have a great day!
