Art Journal with Me #12 - Love Yourself First

Hey friends! Today I'm bringing you my December Art Journal with Me video. This one is definitely festive and fun for the season. I've now completed an entire year of spreads and I've had the best time doing it! For this month in my Art Journal, I used some papers from Stamperia Home for the Holidays as the star of the show, with the sweet little deer in a snowy field framed in my gorgeous red florals.

I also added in a mix of washi tapetickets, and ephemera to build up the layers. For my personal item this month, I cut a few more florals out of the roll of wrapping paper I bought for my Christmas gifts this year. That will be a nice memory to look back on from the holidays! Of course, I added some titles using Tim Holtz Ideology Small Talk Stickers and finished up with some Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White splashes and a Retro Date Stamp.

If you'd like to see how this spread came together and hear all about my family's Christmas traditions, click below or watch on YouTube. And don't forget to like and subscribe if you enjoy these kinds of videos! I plan on continuing this series into the new year! Until then, I hope you have a very peaceful close to 2022. Thanks so much for visiting!

2022 Holiday Card Series #20 - Lawn Fawnatics #139

Hey friends, today I'm back with another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. This time we've got an Inspiration Board to inspire you that is New Year themed. I still need Christmas cards though, so I decided to make my project include both! I started by combining images from Wood You Be Mine?So Dam Much, and Christmas Dreams. I colored them all with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then for the background, I blended Distress Oxide onto Bristol Cardstock. I used Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers for the sky, and Salvaged Patina for both the sky and Stitched Hillside Borders snow. Then I added some shine with Gansai Tambi Starry Colors. I adhered the background to a Peacock card base and layered the snowdrifts over top.

Then I glued down my images into a little scene where the beavers have cut down their Christmas tree and are ready to commence the holiday festivities. To finish up, I took a two part sentiment from Window Scene: Winter and stamped it in Lobster Ink, then die cut the top line using the Everyday Sentiment Banners. And of course, added a bit of sparkle with some Stardust Stickles.

This also marks Day 20 of my 2022 Holiday Card Series. We're nearly finished! I'll have one final card this week and then we'll wrap it up. I hope you've been enjoying it as much as I have! Don't forget to like and subscribe if you enjoy the video. And stop by the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the design team has created to inspire you. See you again soon!

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - December

Hey friends, today I'm so thrilled to be over on the MFT Stamps YouTube Channel with the December edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! This month I created a very sweet card featuring the new stamps by Stacey Yacula, Pawsitive Vibes. If you are a dog lover like me, you are going to adore this set! I chose to highlight two of the cute pups and a few of their accessories. I stamped them in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the focal panel, I die cut a piece of Bristol with the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 and blended on Distress Oxide Inks, using Spun Sugar for the wall, Gathered Twigs for the floor, and I masked off a strip to be the baseboard. Then I stamped a heart pattern using Kitsch Flamingo. I stamped a sentiment and popped this panel up over some Pretty In Plaid patterned paper. I adhered my images and finished with a couple sequins and some pink Stickles.

To see how this card came together, click below, or find it on the MFT Stamps YouTube Channel! I really hope you enjoy it. If you do, leave me a comment and a like! I so appreciate your support. Have a wonderful day!

2022 Holiday Card Series #18

Hey friends, it's Day 18 of my 2022 Holiday Card Series! Can you believe we're nearing the end already? For today's card, I wanted to create a snowy scene using warm and cozy tones, depicting the Hello Bluebird Dear Santa stamp set. I absolutely love these sweet pets sending out their Christmas cards! I colored the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies

For the background, I used the MFT Drifts & Hills Stencil to blend Distress Oxide Ink onto a piece of Bristol, trimmed down with the Nesting Deckle A2. I used a little Evergreen Bough blended out with Speckled Egg. I stamped a snowflake pattern with the Evergreen Bough as well, and then added snow with Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White. I popped that up on a Speckled Eggshell card base with a layer of Kraft Cardstock in between. For the sentiment, I die cut the Special Deliver Words from Barn Red Cardstock and added my images, finishing with some Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this one came together, you can click below or watch on YouTube. If you enjoy it, please consider subscribing to my channel or leaving me a comment! I so appreciate it. It truly means the world to me, you have no idea! Thank you so much for your support. I'll see you soon with another video!

2022 Holiday Card Series #17

Hello friends, happy Friday! Today I'm so happy to be bringing you Day 17 of my 2022 Holiday Card Series! This one combines two super adorable sets from Mama Elephant, Secret Santa and Busy Elves. These images play so well together! It almost seems like they were made for each other. I colored them all in with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background I used the Magic Snow Cover which I die cut out of Bristol and then blended with Distress Oxide Inks. I used Salvaged Patina and Tumbled Glass and then splattered on a little Peacock Feathers. Then I took the Hello Bluebird Hill and Dale and die cut two snow drifts and added a little Copic marker to the top edge to give them a frosty glow. I stamped my sentiment and added the images and finished off with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

I can't believe we've made it to Day 17 of my Holiday Card Series already! If you've missed any of the videos, you can click that link to see the entire playlist. Holiday Card Series #16 - Lawn Fawnatics #138

Hey friends, I'm back with another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This time we've got a card sketch to inspire you. I decided to take the elements of the sketch and move them around a bit, making it work for the scene I envisioned. I combined images from Car CrittersCar Critters Christmas Add-on, and Tiny Christmas. I colored them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I die cut panels of Bristol with the Stitched Mountain Borders and Simple Stitched Hillside Borders and blended on Distress Oxide Inks. I used Tumbled Glass and Broken China for the sky, and Tumbled Glass with Hickory Smoke for the mountains and snow. I also masked off a road on my hillside using Post-it Tape.

Then I adhered my images using the car to represent the half circle in the sketch, and the trees to represent the two rectangles. To balance out the trees, I stamped "jingle bells" and some music notes on the right in Manatee Ink. I also added an Everyday Sentiment Banner stamped in Lobster Ink and finished up with some snow and Stardust Stickles.

This card makes Day 16 of my 2022 Holiday Card Series! If you'd like to see how it came together, click below or you can watch it here on YouTube. I do hope you enjoy it! Don't forget to check out our challenge and the rest of the design team's creations on the Lawn Fawnatics Challege Blog!

2022 Holiday Card Series #15

Hey friends, today I'm excited to bring you Day 15 of my 2022 Holiday Card Series! For today's card I wanted to feature the adorable Hello Bluebird Snowman Hugs stamp set. I colored these sweet images with Copic markers and did some extra details with white and black pen on my snowman's scarf. Then I trimmed the image out with its matching dies.

Then I colored a quick and easy Copic background and trimmed it down with the Hello Bluebird Nesting Ovals, then used the same one plus the next size up to die cut a frame from Metallic Gold Cardstock. I stamped a sentiment at the bottom and popped the focal panel up with foam tape over some patterned paper from the Simple Stories Mix & A Mingle 6x8 pad. And finished with some snow using a white gel pen and Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, and how to create a simple and easy Copic colored background for yourself, click below or watch here on YouTube. If you enjoy it, don't forget to like the video and subscribe to my channel! I really appreciate it! Thanks so much for stopping by!
