Fairy Bayou Birthday Card

Hey friends, it's Christy here with another magical fairy garden card using Hello Bluebird. This time I had the song Blue Bayou on my mind, and so I wanted to create a scene with a fairy hopping across lily pads, as if she were playing hopscotch. I pulled together images from Fairy DanceFairy Garden, and Fishin' Hole, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with their matching dies.

For the background, I started with a panel of Bristol and blended on some Distress Oxide Inks. I used Shaded LilacWilted Violet, Villainous Potion, and Chipped Sapphire for the sky, and Salty Ocean with Chipped Sapphire for the blue bayou. Then I die cut another piece of Bristol using the Pond Builder and blended on Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles. I stamped a sentiment from Birthday Script in the center and popped the grass up with foam tape.

I added my images to the scene and finished off the card with some clear sequins and Stardust Stickles. If you'd like to see how this card came together, click below or you can find the video tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel. I really hope you enjoy this one! Rainforest Birthday Card - Lawn Fawnatics #171

Hey friends, it's time for a new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this one is so much fun! We've got a Bingo board for you to use, which gives you so many possibilities! You can get Bingo by doing a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal line. For my card, I went with a diagonal line, going from the top left to the bottom right, so paper trimmer, critter, birthday, ink blending, and glitter.

I brought in a bunch of stamp sets for this one, including Simply Celebrate More CrittersToucan Do ItWood You Be MineBeary Rainy Day, and Ahoy Matey. I colored the image with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I trimmed out the Giant Happy Birthday to You from Woodgrain Light Brown Cardstock and Chocolate Bar and glued them together to create a drop shadow with the woodgrain cardstock on top.

For the background, I blended Distress Oxide Inks onto some Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock using the Birch Tree Stencils to create the look of a jungle or rainforest. In the center I used Twisted Citron and darkened that up at the top and bottom with Mowed Lawn. I trimmed off a little bit with my paper trimmer and glued it to a Noble Fir card base. I popped up my sentiment and images and finished with a little Stardust Stickles. BINGO!

Spring Bird-day Card - Lawn Fawnatics #170

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this one is right up my alley. It's patterned paper! Yay! You can use any of Lawn Fawn's existing papers or you can create your own. I combined three different patterns from the new Rainbow Ever After 6x6 and used the Winter Birds to make a Spring card by combining it with Toucan Do It and Really High Five. I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the focal panel, I cut down a piece of Bristol Cardstock with one of the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and blended on some Distress Oxide Inks using the Cloudy Stencil. I wanted it to be a sunset sky, so I used Spun SugarShaded LilacTumbled Glass, I did a little splatter detail to look like confetti, and stamped a sentiment down at the bottom in black ink.

Then I took the patterned papers and trimmed them down with a Large Stitched Rectangle Stackable and layered them on a Speckled Eggshell card base. I popped the focal panel up with foam tape and adhered my images with liquid glue. To finish off the card, I added a few Clear Sequins and some Stardust Stickles.

Hey friends, today I'm back with a card for a super exciting occasion! I just became an auntie again! I have a brand-new baby niece who is just as sweet as can be, and deserved the sweetest card to welcome her into our family. I pulled together images from Hello Bluebird's Little Star and Sweet Dreams, with accents from Word Buddies Jungle and Balloon Buddies. I colored them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I cut down some Bristol Cardstock with the Nesting Deckle Mini Slimline dies and blended on Distress Oxide Inks in Spun SugarKitsch Flamingo, and Saltwater Taffy. I splattered on some water, ink, and Gansai Tambi Starry Colors. Then I heat embossed my sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and Clear Embossing Powder. I added my images with a mix of foam tape and liquid glue and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

Little Golden Birthday Card - Lawn Fawnatics #169

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, and this time it's our popular Inspired by a Book, Movie, or Song! The books that first inspired my great love of reading were the Little Golden Books. There were so many clever stories and delightful illustrations. So my card is inspired by the back cover of all the Little Golden Books with the animals clustered around the edges framing up the message in the middle.

I wanted to have a good mix of characters, but since the possibilities of which ones to use was endless, I narrowed them down to a woodland critter theme. I pulled together images from so many sets, including Porcupine for YouWood You Be MineScent with LoveHive FiveA Bug DealLet's Go NutsCritters in the ArcticHappy HarvestParty Animal, and Magic Messages. I stamped all the images in Jet Black Ink and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I trimmed down some Spiffier Speckles 6x6 patterned paper with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and glued that to a Sage Leaf card base. I stamped a sentiment from Magic Messages on more patterned paper with Noble Fir Ink, trimmed it out with the matching die, and popped it up with foam tape in the center of the card. Then I arranged all the images around it, filling it with as many little details I could squeeze in.

Tea Party Birthday Card - Lawn Fawnatics #168

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this time the theme is one of my absolute favorites: Birthday! I love to make birthday cards. There's just something so joyful about them. For this one, I wanted to make a really detailed woodland scene using a whole bunch of images, so I combined Porcu-pine for YouTea-rriffic Day, the Tea-rriffic Day Add-onToucan Do ItButterfly KissesOur Friendship Grows, and You Are Sublime. I colored the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with their matching dies.

For the background, I started with a piece of Bristol and blended on Distress Oxide Inks. For the sky, I used Salvaged Patina along with the Cloudy Stencil. For the ground, I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn applied with the Slimline Grassy Stencil. Then I cut the largest Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frame out of Dark Brown Woodgrain Cardstock and popped that up over top with foam tape.

I stamped a sentiment from Party Animal at the bottom of the focal panel and adhered that to a Barn Red card base. Then I adhered my images using a mixture of foam tape and liquid glue to create some depth and dimension. To finish off the card, I added a few touches of my favorite embellishment, Stardust Stickles.

Thank You Honey Card - Lawn Fawnatics #167

Hey friends! Welcome to a new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. This one is all about Spring, which makes me think of blossoms and buzzing things. I started by stamping out the bees from Hive Five, and combining them with branches from A Bug Deal, leaves from Our Friendship Grows, and flowers from Magic Messages and Stinkin Cute. I colored the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with their matching dies.

For the background, I trimmed down a piece of Bristol with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables. Then I blended on Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink using the Cloudy Stencil and splattered that with Gansai Tambi Starry Colors. I adhered that to a Sunflower card base and stamped on the inside with Doe Ink. Then I die cut the Magic Iris Beehive Add-on out of more Sunflower and added definition with my Copics.

Then I white heat embossed a sentiment from Magic Messages onto Chocolate Bar Cardstock and popped the hive over top with foam tape. I adhered my images with a mix of liquid glue and foam tape and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles. And that's it!

1 Set 4 Ways Episode 11 - Beeline to Your Heart

Hey friends, today I'm bringing back my 1 Set 4 Ways Series featuring the adorable MFT Beeline to Your Heart illustrated by Jenoblade. I got this set in the mail the other day and I was so excited to play with it that I just couldn't stop at designing one card. I had to keep going. If you want to see the entire process of going from one card idea to four, including deciding on the layouts and choosing my supplies, you can find the Plan a Card with Me x4 video using that link.

So after I figured out the layouts of these cards and which images I would be using for each, I stamped them all out using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored them with Copic markers to match some patterned paper from the Carta Bella Here, There, and Everywhere 6x6. To keep the cards unified, I used the same paper pad for all of the cards, but I chose different patterns to mix for each one. I trimmed out the images with the matching dies.

Another way that I kept the cards cohesive is by using the same size and design focal panels. I started by trimming down Bristol Cardstock with the MFT A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2. Then I used the Rolling Clouds Stencil to add Tumbled Glass and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink for the sky. For the ground I used the Drifts & Hills Stencil with Bundled Sage and Rustic Wilderness.

The last way I tied the cards together was by using the same Lawn Fawn Sticky Note Cardstock for all four card bases. I stamped additional images and sentiments on the inside with Sunflower Ink. Then I layered on my patterned paper, using two prints for each card. I popped the focal panel up with foam tape, glued down my images, and finished with some Stardust Stickles.

Because I used those similar designs and products for all the cards, they would make a great set to give to someone as a gift, or they can be used to build up your stash and sent out individually. Either way! If you'd like to see how they all came together, click below or find the video HERE on YouTube. I really hope you enjoy it! Thanks so much for watching!

Plan a Card with Me x 4

Hey friends, today I'm sharing another Plan a Card with me video. This time I'm coming up with not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR card ideas at once using the MFT Beeline to Your Heart stamp set illustrated by Jenoblade. Which means that Friday's video will be a 1 Set 4 Ways, which I haven't done in a while because they are so time-consuming to film, but I was just that excited about these images! I hope you enjoy this video, walking you through each layout and supply as I prepare to make four cards using one super adorable stamp set. Check it out down below or find it HERE on my YouTube channel.

2024 Valentine Card Series #10 - Lawn Fawnatics #166

Hey friends, welcome to our newest Lawn Fawnatics Challenge: Interactive Cards! For my project today, I decided to create some little treat bags for my boys for Valentines Day, using the new Lawn Fawn Heart Pouch. But first, I started by stamping out my images from Scent with Love and the Scent with Love Add-on, coloring them with Copic markers, and trimming them out with their matching dies.

To create the heart pouches, I cut out two panels for each treat container from Ballet Slippers Cardstock, then ran one panel of each back through my die cutting machine with the Heart Pouch Dotted Hearts Add-on to give the front some extra interest. I also die cut the heart lace strip from white cardstock, and the XOXO tag from white and Guava Cardstock. I assembled the box using 1/4" Double-sided Tape.

Then it was time to decorate the boxes. I first adhered a little triangle of Fruit Salad 6x6 patterned paper to the bottom point of the heart. Then I added the white heart lace strip over top. I glued my images on and filled up each treat box with candy. Then I closed them up with a bit of twine and threaded on the XOXO tag before I tied each bow.

And that's it! I really love how these treat pouches came out, and I think my kids are going to love them too. This is also Day 10 of my 2024 Valentine Card Series, so if you'd like to see how they came together, you can watch the video tutorial below, or find it HERE on my YouTube channel. I really hope you enjoy it! Don't forget to stop by the Lawn Fawnatics blog to see what the rest of the design team has created to inspire you, and to link up your own interactive creations and play along!
