Tree Friends Birthday Card - Hello Bluebird feature

Hey friends, today I'm thrilled to be over on the Hello Bluebird blog with a sweet card featuring Tree Neighbors along with a few other sets to make it birthday-themed. I also altered the tree so that it fits a standard A2 sized card, rather than the slimline style that it was designed for. So if that sounds good to you, be sure to check out the video tutorial below or on my YouTube channel. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Art Journal with Me #14 - Follow Your Heart

Hey friends! Today I'm back with my February Art Journal with Me Video! This one was completely inspired by my recent cruise vacation to the Caribbean. I had such a lovely time away with my family and very much enjoyed the much needed break from work and snow! I incorporated several bits of ephemera from my travels into my Art Journal to really give it that personal touch.

Some of the craft supplies I incorporated were patterned papers from the Mintay Seaside Escape 6x6, along with Washi Tapes and other Junk Journal papers for that collage look that I love. I also created a little window opening with a view of those stunning Caribbean waters that I love so dearly. I finished up with a Retro Date Stamp and some Tim Holtz Small Talk Stickers for my title.

If you'd like to hang out for an hour and hear all about my trip, you can find the video below or by clicking here to view on YouTube. I really hope you enjoy it and will maybe grab some supplies and craft along with me! Let's make something beautiful today!

Groundhog Birthday Card - Lawn Fawnatics Feature

Hey friends, today I'm over on the Lawn Fawnatics blog with another card for our Show Us Where You Live challenge. Since I already did a card based on Presque Isle State Park, this time I decided to do subtle nods to my home state of Pennsylvania. I transformed a beaver from Wood You Be Mine? into a groundhog popping out of his burrow. I'll have all the details in my post over there, so I hope you'll check that out. I also have a video tutorial which you can check out below or watch here on YouTube. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - February

Hey friends, today I'm so happy to be over on the MFT Stamps YouTube channel with the February edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! This month I wanted to feature the adorable food images from We Make A Great Combo. There are so many options to choose from, but I went with the cheeseburger, fries, and soda. I colored them in with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I die cut one of the Mini Slimline Double Stitched Rectangle STAX and blended on a little Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink. Then I blended Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink onto another panel to use as a layering element and adhered both to a Red Hot card base. I added my images and finished with a sentiment stamped on a strip of Kraft Cardstock.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click below, or find it on the MFT Stamps YouTube channel. I really hope that you enjoy it, and that it doesn't make you too hungry!

Hometown Heart Card - Lawn Fawnatics #143

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this time we're hitting close to home with Show Us Where You Live. I decided to recreate Presque Isle State Park, by combining images from Smooth SailingAhoy MateyCoaster CrittersHappy Village, and the retired set Lovable Legends. I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I used the Peekaboo Backdrop as a guide to pencil in the different sections onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. Then I colored each one with Copics. Then I glued down three layers of the frame, two in white and one in Blue Jay Cardstock to give it a bit of height.

I adhered all my images with liquid glue. Then to finish the card off, I stamped a sentiment in Lobster Ink and trimmed it out with an Everyday Sentiment Banner. I glued that on the center cross bar of the frame. I also finished off the inside, which you can check out in the video tutorial.

2023 Valentine Card Series #9 - Lawn Fawnatics #142

Hey friends, welcome to another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! I think you all are going to really enjoy this one because we're getting interactive! There are so many fun ways to interpret this challenge, it's always a feast for my eyes to see what ideas other come up with. For my card, I wanted to finally use the Peekaboo Pop-up for the first time. I decided to combine it with Beary Rainy Day. I colored the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the card base, I started with some Mermaid Cardstock and added raindrops using the Rainy Sky Stencil and some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink. For the hill, I used Noble Fir Cardstock blended with some Pine Needles Distress Oxide Ink. I assembled the card base using a Teflon Bone Folder to make sure I got nice, crisp creases.

For my interactive element, I included a little frog, that when popped up, looks like he's jumped to land on top of the bear's umbrella. Then I staged the scene with the rest of my images, adhering them with liquid glue. I finished off with a sentiment stamped in the top left corner.

This card is also the 9th and final day of my 2023 Valentine Card Series! I really hope that you  enjoy it! If you've missed any and are still looking for more Valentine Card inspiration, check out the playlist using the link I just listed and you can find them all. Make sure you also stop by the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the design team created to inspire you!

2023 Valentine Card Series #8

Hey friends, today I'm back with a sweet card that was a bit of a headache to create! For some reason, I was just having a really off day and kept making mistakes, BUT I pushed through and I don't think you can tell from the final card, so all's well that ends well. Sometimes we just have to give ourselves a little bit of grace and a card can usually be saved if you keep going. So don't give up!

For this one I used the adorable Hello Bluebird Bouquet Buddies, which has both outline images and layering stamps. I colored the critters with Copics and stamped the flowers with a whole assortment of inks to match our newest challenge over on Instagram. Then I trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the focal panel, I die cut some Speckled Eggshell Cardstock with the Nesting Deckle A2 and popped that up with foam tape over a Ballet Slippers card base. Then I added my images with liquid glue. For the sentiment I die cut the Love You Words out of Barn Red and Vellum Cardstock and layered them together. Then I finished with a few stamped hearts and a little Stardust Stickles.

To see this card come together, and watch me make mistake after mistake and fix them, click the video below or you can also find it here on YouTube. If you've ever had an off day of card making, be sure to hit the thumbs up and subscribe to my channel if you enjoy people who keep it real. Thanks so much for watching!
