Pumpkin Patch Pals

Happy Monday, friends! How are you on this fine, fall day? Here in Northwestern, PA, the air is a little bit crisper and the leaves have begun to change. I wish I could hit a pause button and make days like this last a whole lot longer. I was definitely feeling that Autumn vibe when I created this card using Hello Bluebird Fall Buddies. I love these little critters and decided to put them all together in a pumpkin patch.

I colored them all in with Copics and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I made a quick and easy watercolor background using some Zigs. I have another video tutorial on how to do this here. I trimmed the sky portion down with the MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX and the grasses with the MFT Grassy Hills Die-namics. I adhered the taller grass border with liquid glue, and the shorter one with foam tape, then added my critters and pumpkins and leaves with a combination of the two.

I layered my Echo Park My Favorite Fall 6x6 patterned papers onto a Lawn Fawn Speckled Eggshell card base and popped up my focal panel with more foam tape. I finished it off with a speech bubble sentiment stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink, and stamped the inside of the card with Lawn Fawn Fake Tan.

Gather Happy Moments

Hey friends! Happy Monday! Today I wanted to share with you a card I made using some sweet Hello Bluebird sets -- the critters from Fly a Kite and the leaves from Woodland Littles. I wanted to mix things up and create a fall card using a spring set, a fall set, and a summer die!

I colored my images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I took the Ocean Scene die and flipped it completely to create a little park scene instead. My clouds became bushes, the water became grass, and the waves turned into a little path. The perfect place for my happy little critters to hang out and chase leaves. Don't you just want to join them?

For a complete supply list, check out the description box below the video on YouTube. And if you'd like to give a thumbs up and subscribe, I would surely appreciate it! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Mice Friends - Lawn Fawnatics #61

Hey friends! Welcome to Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #61! We are totally feeling the Autumn vibes and that's what this round is all about. For my card, I really wanted to use the new Mice on Ice, but on a fall card, rather than a Christmas one. So I colored them with Copics and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then took a white gel pen and "erased" the ice skates and fussy cut them off. Viola! You'd never even know the skates were there.

For my background, I took a aqua Stitched Circle Stackable and layered on the Stitched Tree Border cut from Ground Coffee cardstock. I cut the tops out of the different leaf prints in the Fall Fling 6x6 pad. Then I cut some Noble Fir cardstock with the Stitched Hillside Border, stamped my sentiment from Jump for Joy in Noble Fir ink, and adhered that to the bottom of the scene. I also added in a small white cloud from Spring Showers and, of course, my little mice.

I layered more of the Fall Fling 6x6 patterned papers onto a Speckled Eggshell card base and used the Stitched Party Banners die to selectively die cut the end of the golden leaf print. The focal panel I adhered with foam tape for added dimension. I finished off the inside with a Reveal Wheel Sentiments in Doe ink, which you can check out in the video.

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - September

Well hello there! I'm so excited to be bringing you the September edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! Seriously, I always get so stoked each and every month to bring you what I've been working on for this amazing company!

This round I just absolutely fell in love with the new Birdie Brown set Sweater Weather in the Woods. Could these cozy critters get any cuter? Gah! I just love them! I had such a blast coloring them up with my Copic markers. I was totally in the zone! I also brought in some pumpkins from Birdie Brown Fall Friends and leaves from Pure Innocence Sending Blessings. When I was done, I trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my background, I cut down two sheets of Watercolor Wash 6x6 patterned paper. I used the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX to trim down the pale aqua and the Grassy Hills Die-namics on the green. Then I added all my images and stamped my sentiment in brown ink.

On my Kraft card base I stamped the leaves once again, along with the little coffee swirl to look like gusts of wind. Then I layered two pieces of Sweet Celebration 6x6 paper across the center and used foam tape to pop up my focal panel.

I also finished off the inside with a bit more stamping, which you can check out in the video on the My Favorite Things YouTube Channel. I sure hope you enjoy it! And be sure to hit that thumbs up button and leave me a comment if you did! Thanks so much for visiting today!

Hello Jungle Friend

Drumroll please.... Today I'm excited to bring you a card that many of you have expressed an interest in seeing. This was one that I created during The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge and showcased in the Card Share Video where I confessed my tendency to never create cards with the images colored during the challenge. This year I vowed to be different, and so I created 24 cards with the images I colored during those 30 days. This particular one was my personal favorite, and it appeared to be the viewers as well! I had many requests to recreate it for a video, and that's what I'm bringing you today.

I started by stamping out my images from Hello Bluebird Portrait Pals and colored them with Copic markers. I stamped out multiples of the leaves and used four different green color combos to give them lots of variety. Then I trimmed everything out with the matching dies.

For the background, I scribbled some green Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens onto an acrylic block and watercolored it onto some Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. Then I die cut the Gallery Frame 2 out of white cardstock and popped it up with foam tape over the background.

I added my critters with foam tape and the leaves with liquid glue, then finished it off with a hello die cut from Gallery Frame 1 and a heat embossed sentiment from Deer Friend. I also finished off the inside with stamping from Jungle Littles and Lawn Fawn Jalepeño ink.

Friends Furever - Lawn Fawnatics #60

Hey friends! Happy Labor Day to everyone in the States, and welcome to Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #60! This round is all about one of my absolute favorite styles of cards to make -- scene cards! I just love combining a whole bunch of images from different sets and combining them on a card. And that's exactly what I did today!

I started out by stamping my images from Meow You Doin'Keep on SwimmingCritters at the Dog ParkWheelie Like You, and Critters on the Farm. I colored them all in with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies. I also gave a little shine mark to the fish bowl with a white gel pen.

For my background, I used two pieces of Perfectly Plaid Chill 6x6 patterned papers trimmed down with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables to make up my wallpaper and floor. Then I added a thin white strip of cardstock for the baseboard. I trimmed a mouse hole out using a window from Build-A-House, then backed it with Narwhal cardstock, darkened a bit with a Copic marker.

I adhered my images with foam tape and added the panel to a Mermaid card base. To finish it off, I added my sentiment, die-cut with an Everyday Sentiment Banner.

These playful pets sure are having a ball while their people are away! If you'd like to see how this card came together, click below or watch on YouTube in HD. I'd love for you to hit that thumbs up button and subscribe if you enjoyed the video!

And now it's time to check out the other amazing design team samples over on the Lawn Fawnatics Blog. And don't forget to create a scene -- on a card, of course! ;) And be sure to link it up and play along.

Have a fantastic day!
