2023 Holiday Card Series #19

Merry Christmas, friends! I hope that you are having a very happy, magical holiday today, and that you are surrounded by love and laughter. Today I am bringing you Day 19, the final day of my 2023 Holiday Card Series. I'm so sad to see this series end! For this one, I wanted to use the Waffle Flower Under the Tree stamp and die combo and make a really nice and full Christmas morning scene. I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with their matching dies.

My color inspiration was drawn completely from the DCWV Down the Chimney 6x6 pad. I knew I wanted to layer this one with an explosion of prints and patterns, just like the wrapping paper that litters the floor after the gifts are open. But to tamper them down just a bit, I also added in a mat of Barn Red Cardstock and used some Light Brown Woodgrain Cardstock for the floor. I finished it off with a white heat embossed sentiment and some Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, you can click below or watch it here on YouTube! I really hope you enjoy it, and again, I just want to thank you so much for your kindness and support and wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

2023 Holiday Card Series #17 - Lawn Fawnatics #163

Hey friends, welcome to our final Lawn Fawnatics Challenge of the year! For this one, we've got a fun inspiration board for you to use as a jumping off point. My card features the brand new Porcu-pine for You. I could not wait to ink up these adorable little porcupines! To turn them into a Christmas card, I combined them with images from Joy to AllMerry Messages, and Den Sweet Den. I colored them all with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I also created my own patterned paper using the Winter Sprigs Background Stencil and blended on Distress Oxide Inks in Lucky CloverPine NeedlesFestive Berries, and Vintage Photo. I trimmed that down with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and adhered it to a Kraft card base.

Then I cut down a piece of Knit Picky Winter 6x6 patterned paper for my focal panel, glued that to a piece of Gold Metallic Cardstock and popped it up with foam tape. I white heat embossed a sentiment onto Chili Pepper Cardstock and trimmed it out with an Everyday Sentiment Banner. Then adhered all my images and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

This is also Day 17 of my 2023 Holiday Card Series, so if you'd like to see how this card came together, you can check out the video tutorial. I really hope you enjoy it! Heffy Friends Blog Hop + 2023 Holiday Card Series #15

Hey friends, welcome to the Heffy Friends Blog Hop, where we are celebrating our love of Heffy Doodle! We are going to have some amazing inspiration for you today, and an awesome giveaway too! I'll get to all that in just a moment, but first, let me tell you about this card!

One of the things I love to do is to stretch my stamps and use them in unexpected ways. That's exactly what I did for this card, using the adorable Wrapped with Love stamp set, and taking it from a birthday theme to a Christmas one by combining it with a little sprig of holly and a sentiment from Fireside Dreams. Wrapping gifts is something I love to do around the holidays, and my piles always end up looking as precarious as this one! I also used lots of strips of festive patterned paper to tie in the gift wrap theme. It's a great way to use up those scraps, while really packing a punch with those fun prints.

If you've been following the hop in order, then this is your last stop. If not, you can go back to the Heffy Doodle blog to start at the beginning, or use the links at the end of this post to visit any guest creator along the way. Be sure to leave those comments by December 22nd for a chance to win a £25 gift voucher. The winner will be chosen randomly and announced on the Heffy Doodle blog on December 23rd.

This card is also Day 15 of my 2023 Holiday Card Series! If you'd like to watch see how this card came together, you can click below to watch the video tutorial. And if you've missed any of the other cards in this series and would like to go check them out you can find the entire playlist here. I really hope you enjoy!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to visit the other stops, if you haven't already. Happy hopping!

2023 Holiday Card Series #13

Hey friends, welcome to Day 13 of my 2023 Holiday Card Series! Today's card features an adorable image illustrated by Rachelle Anne Miller for MFT called Cute & Cuddly Christmas. Isn't it so sweet? I stamped it on a Lawn Fawn Circle Stackable and colored it with my Copic markers to match some Echo Park Christmas Time 6x6 patterned paper.

Then I chose a few more prints of the patterned paper to layer on my card front. I trimmed down the cardinal print and stripe with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables, then selectively die cut the bottom of the buffalo plaid print with the Stitched Party Banners. I also cut out a Scalloped Circle Stackable and adhered my focal panel to that, then popped it up on foam tape. I white heat embossed my sentiment onto an Everyday Sentiment Banner and finished the card with some enamel dots and Stardust Stickles.

If you've missed any of the previous cards in this series and would like to go back and watch you can find the entire playlist here. I really hope you enjoy it! Thanks so much for watching! 2023 Holiday Card Series #12 - Lawn Fawnatics #162

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and it's a sweet one: Coffee, Tea, and Treats! For my card, I combined the mini stamp set Oh Snap, with Sweet Christmas and  Thanks a Latte. I stamped the images in Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies. I also stamped out the pine boughs from Winter Birds in Noble Fir Ink.

For the focal panel, I started with a piece of aqua Knit Picky 6x6 patterned paper and die cut that with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables, then cut a window in the center using the Small Stitched Circle Stackables. Then I took a piece of Mermaid Cardstock and cut a slightly smaller hole from the center with the Circle Stackables. I glued those together and popped them up over some Spiffier Speckles 6x6 patterned paper and adhered it to a Mermaid card base.

Then I started adhering my images with a mix of foam tape and liquid glue. I white heat embossed a sentiment onto a strip of Barn Red Cardstock and trimmed it down with an Everyday Sentiment Banner. Then to finish off the card, I added a few white gel pen shine marks to the peppermint candies and a bit of Stardust Stickles to the marshmallows and gumdrops.

This card is also Day 12 of my 2023 Holiday Card Series so I really hope you enjoy it! If you've missed any of the previous videos, you can find the entire playlist here. 2023 Holiday Card Series #11

Hey friends, welcome to Day 11 of my 2023 Holiday Card Series! Today's card features the adorable new Christmas Eve stamp set. Isn't that just about the jolliest Santa you've ever seen? I just love him and his sweet reindeer friend. I also added in two small accessory images from Merry Friends. I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with their matching dies.

Next I chose three different patterned papers from the Simple Stories The Holiday Life 6x8 pad and layered them over my card base. I trimmed the focal panel down with the Hello Bluebird Nesting Ovals and added a Hill and Dale snowdrift, where I stamped my sentiment. I adhered that to a Gold Metallic Cardstock oval and popped that up in the center of the card. Then I added in some accents at the top using Candy Cane Lane.

2023 Holiday Card Series #8 - Lawn Fawnatics #161

Hello and welcome to a new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This one just happens to be one of my favorites of the entire year: Holiday Critters! So much fun! For my card, I decided to pull out the sweet Winter Birds and added in a little bow from Baaah Humbug. I colored the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with their matching dies.

For the focal panel, I took a piece of Bristol and blended some Distress Oxide Inks over the Birch Tree Stencil, starting with Pumice Stone, then adding in Hickory Smoke, and the tiniest touch of Black Soot. I trimmed it down with a Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and layered it with Barn Red Cardstock, then popped it up over a piece of Knit Picky patterned paper on a Speckled Eggshell card base.

The sentiment I white heat embossed onto another scrap of Barn Red Cardstock and trimmed down with an Everyday Sentiment Banner. Then I popped that and my images up on the focal panel with foam tape and finished off the card with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

This is also Day 8 of my 2023 Holiday Card Series so I hope you will check out the video and see how this card came together! Hello and welcome to Day 2 of Previews for the Hello Bluebird Christmas/Winter Release! Today my card features the super darling Cup of Cheer stamp set, along with some trees from Holiday Littles. Aren't they just so cute? I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I cut out two snowdrifts from Bristol Cardstock using the Hill and Dale dies, then blended on Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink. For the sky, I took another piece of Bristol and blended on the Cracked Pistachio with Lucky Clover and Pine Needles. I added in some Gansai Tambi Starry Colors and some white paint splatter snow.

Hello Bluebird Previews Day 1 - 2023 Holiday Card Series #5

Hey friends! Welcome to Day 1 of Previews for the Hello Bluebird Christmas/Winter Release!   My card features mostly die cuts and a teeny bit of stamping but no coloring whatsoever, which really makes for some quick and easy cards. This one showcases our new December Post stamp set, along with the Candy Cane Lane and Postage Frame dies.

I wanted this card to be super bright and cheerful, so I die cut my elements from various shades of cardstock in red, pink, green, and white. Then I cut down two of the stamp shapes from the center of the Postage Frame die and stamped on those in red and green ink. I also threw in a bit of chunky glitter and some Stardust Stickles for some texture and sparkle.

We will be back tomorrow for Day 2 of previews, leading up to the brand-new release tomorrow night, November 17th at 7pm MST (9pm EST.) But for now, if you want to see these sneak peek products in action, check out the video tutorial, which is also Day 5 of my 2023 Holiday Card Series! You can find the entire playlist for this year here. I will also have a complete overview of the Hello Bluebird new release on my channel tomorrow, so make sure to stop back for that. I hope you enjoy the videos!

Fawny Holiday Week + 2023 Holiday Card Series #4

Hey friends, I am so excited to help kick off Fawny Holiday Week today! All week long, the design teams of Lawn Fawn and Lawn Fawnatics will be coming together to share so much fun and festive holiday inspiration with you on the Lawn Fawn blog. It's going to be amazing! There will be a video tutorial each day (look for mine on Friday!) and a daily giveaway too. You won't want to miss it!

For my card, I could not wait to play with the brand-new Little Snow Globe: Dog stamp set! I fell in love the instant I saw it and knew I had to use it right away. I combined it with images from Furry and Bright and Joy to All, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Since I was creating an interactive Reveal Wheel card, I also used the Reveal Wheel Templates: Little Snow Globe: Dog to help me line up those images correctly.

I knew that I wanted to create an indoor scene, so I die cut the Reveal Wheel from some Favorite Flannel 6x6 paper, then cut out the window with the Reveal Wheel Little Snow Globe: Dog Add-on. I also used some Light Brown Woodgrain Cardstock for the floor and a strip of white for the baseboard. Then I assembled my reveal wheel, adhered it to a Speckled Eggshell card base, and added a sentiment from Pawsitive Christmas. I finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

This is also Day 4 of my 2023 Holiday Card Series, so if you'd like to see how this card came together, click below, or find it here on YouTube. And don't forget to like and subscribe! 2023 Holiday Card Series #3

Hey friends, today I'm excited to bring you Day 3 of my 2023 Holiday Card Series! This MFT Gnome for the Holidays was one of the sets I was most excited about using this Christmas season. I just think these images are so sweet! I stamped them out in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink, colored with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Next I chose four different prints from the DCWV Down the Chimney 6x6 patterned paper pad. The snowflake I trimmed down with the largest Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables and added a Simple Stitched Hillside Border. I stamped my sentiment at the bottom in Plastic Flamingo Ink. The other three prints I trimmed down with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and layered onto my card front. Then I finished with a bit of white gel pen details and some Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click below or watch it here on YouTube. And if you missed the first two videos in this series, you can find the entire 2023 Holiday Card Series Playlist here. I really hope you enjoy it! 2023 Holiday Card Series #2 - Lawn Fawnatics #160

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. We're revisiting one of our most popular challenges with a Christmas twist: Inspired by your favorite holiday movie or song! My favorite holiday movie is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. That's the one I have to watch every year to get in the festive mood. I decided to recreate the Reindeer Games scene by mixing a bunch of different Lawn Fawn sets, including Simply Celebrate Winter CrittersHo-Ho-HolidaysSnowball FightYeti or Not, and Over the Mountain Borders.

I stamped the images in Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I created a card base out of Blue Jay Cardstock and blended some Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink over the top and edges to create a night sky and splattered on some Dr. PH Martin's Bleedproof White paint for stars.

I adhered all the images with liquid glue, building up lots of the little brick walls to build one large one for my strip of reindeer to stand behind. Then I stamped a sentiment at the bottom right in Lobster Ink and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click below or find it HERE on YouTube.
