Holiday Card Series #12

Hello friends! Today I'm happy to be bringing you Day 12 of my 2019 Holiday Card Series! I'm featuring the adorable Hello Bluebird O Christmas Tree stamp set. These sweet critters decorating their Christmas tree are the cutest! I colored them all with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I took the Winter Woods Overlay and die cut it out of white cardstock, then added some detail with Copics to make them look like birch trees -- my favorite! I popped that up with foam tape over a sheet of patterned paper from the Carta Bella Snow Much Fun 6x6 pad to create my night sky. Then I adhered my images with more foam tape and liquid glue.

To finish up the card, I adhered it to a Mermaid card base, added a Chili Pepper sentiment using the Lawn Fawn Simple Wavy Banners, and added -- you guessed it! -- Crystal Stickles!

25 Days of Christmas Tags + Holiday Card Series #11

Hello friends! I'm so happy to be joining in Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags! I have been participating in this event since 2014! It's such a fun one because there is just so much incredible inspiration from so many talented card makers and so many awesome sponsored prizes from all your favorite companies!

I am representing Lawn Fawn and Lawn Fawnatics with a fun snow globe shaker tag featuring Ready, Set, SnowFairy Frosty Friends, and the fox from Critters in the Forest. I masked off my images and colored the scene in with Copic markers.

I used the Ready, Set, Snow Shaker Add-on to form the pieces of my tag and filled the inside with a mixture of Chunky Iridescent Glitter and Tiny Star Confetti. I topped it with a Twine Loop and Bow so it can be added to a gift or even hung as an ornament on the Christmas tree.

To check out how this shaker tag came together, click below or watch in HD on YouTube. This is also Day 11 of my 2019 Holiday Card Series so I really hope you enjoy it!

Holiday Card Series #9

Hi friends! Today I'm happy to bring you Card #9 in my 2019 Holiday Card Series! This time I wanted to showcase one of my favorite holiday pastimes -- baking! And the adorable Neat & Tangled Holiday Baking stamp set was perfect for that. These cute critters just make me smile!

I colored them up with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I adhered two coordinating prints of patterned paper from the Pebbles Merry Little Christmas 6x6 to my card base. Over top of that, I popped up a white panel using the Avery Elle Oval Burst die, and adhered my images with a mix of foam tape and liquid glue.

To finish the card, I added a white, heat embossed sentiment trimmed down using one of the banners from the Neat & Tangled Scalloped dies and some Crystal and Christmas Red Stickles. And of course, I also finished off the inside, which you can check out in the video. If you enjoy it, I would love for you to click that like button and leave me a comment or subscribe! Holiday Card Series #8 + Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #65

Hello friends, happy Monday! Welcome to Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #65 where we are showcasing the fun you can have with dies! For my card, I decided to make a follow up to my last video in my Holiday Card Series, where Santa was off delivering gifts on his snowboard. This card is all about Mrs. Claus! While her hubby is away, she's doing what she does best -- feeding the troops after a job well done!

I combined images from a bunch of sets, including Ho-Ho-HolidaysHoliday HelpersChristmas Dreams, Toboggan Together and Forest Feast. I colored them all with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I decided it would be fun to showcase the scene comic book style, using the Peekaboo Backdrop to frame it up into sections. I die cut it three times out of Narwhal cardstock and layered them up to give them a little more depth, and adhered it over a piece of Snow Day Remix patterned paper. Then I added a floor using Dolphin cardstock and adhered my images to their respective windows.

I finished up the card with a white heat embossed sentiment on a Chili Pepper Everyday Sentiments Banner and a little Crystal Stickles for some sparkle and shine. I also stamped on the inside, which you can check out in the video. If you enjoy it, please consider hitting that like button or subscribing to my channel!

And now its time to head over to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog and check out the other amazing design team creations. And then you can bust out your favorite dies to play along!

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - November

Hello and welcome to the November edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! Today I'm bringing you a card with the cutie pie Polar Penguins. Sometimes I like to do something unexpected with my holiday color palette, so instead of using the traditional black on the penguins, I mixed things up a bit and colored them navy blue, with lots of peach, red, and aqua accents.

I trimmed them out with the matching dies, then created a little scene for them to live in with a Distress Oxide sky, and a few Snowy Hillsides, which I added some texture to with the sweater print from the Winter Stencil Strips.

I layered my scene on top of some Sweet Celebration 6x6 paper, which I trimmed down with the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Die-Namics, and adhered the whole thing to a Coral Crush card base. To finish things off, I added a greeting that I white heat embossed onto Blu Raspberry cardstock and a little glitter glue for some sparkle and shine.

I also finished up the inside, which you can check out in the video! Click below or watch in HD on the My Favorite Things YouTube Channel. And don't forget to like and leave me a comment to let me know how enjoyed this card! It truly means the world. I hope you all have an amazing day!

Fawn Holiday Week + Holiday Card Series #7

Hello friends! Welcome to Fawny Holiday Week! There is going to be so much inspiration over on the Lawn Fawn Blog today, and all week long, so be sure to hop over there and check it out!

For my card, I wanted to do a modern twist on Santa. So instead of riding in his sleigh, he's snowboarding in to toss his gifts down the chimneys of the village below! Haha! I used Ho-Ho-HolidaysYeti or Not, Ready, Set, Snow and Tiny Christmas.

I thought it would be fun to have the little dog be the only witness to Santa's shenanigans, because of course, everyone else is fast asleep in their beds, as they should be on Christmas Eve!

Holiday Card Series #6

Happy Monday friends! And welcome to Day 6 of my Holiday Card Series! Today I just had to play with the cute critters in Hello Bluebird First Snow. Aren't these guys just so adorable? I colored them with Copics and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I wanted my card to have that warm and cozy feel, so I die cut the Warm Wishes Words die out of a gorgeous buffalo plaid print from the Echo Park Little Lumberjack 6x6 and layered them over some Black Licorice cardstock to create a drop shadow.

For my focal panel, I used another piece of patterned paper for my sky, and the Landscape Trio for my snowdrift, both of which I trimmed down with the Mama Elephant Peek a Frames. I popped it up with foam tape over the same piece of buffalo plaid paper that I die cut the words from, and layered that all onto a Narwhal card base.

To finish things up, I adhered my critters, stamped an additional sentiment, and added some Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Overlay Pen to the drop shadow of the words, and Christmas Red Stickles to the critters scarves. I also finished off the inside with some additional stamping in Hippo ink.

To watch the video, click below or watch in HD on YouTube. I would love for you to hit that thumbs up button and leave me a comment below the video too! I love interacting with you guys there! Thanks so much for watching! I hope you have an amazing day!

Holiday Card Series #5 - Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #64

Hello everyone! Welcome to Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #64! This round is all about creating cards for the men in our life. This was the perfect opportunity for me to work on a card I'd been envisioning in my head for months now: my brother's Christmas card! My brother is a certified scuba diver and diving instructor. And he likes to call his lovely new bride his "mermaid."

So I pulled together images from Christmas Fishes with Mermaid for You and You are Sublime. I colored everything in with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I created a background with Distress Oxide inks, starting from the bottom with Gathered Twigs, Twisted Citron, Tumbled Glass, and Blueprint Sketch. I spritzed the panel with water and blotted it up with a paper towel to give it a bit more interest. I trimmed the panel down with a Stitched Rectangle Stackables and then adhered all the images with foam tape.

I created a card base with Cilantro cardstock and layered two patterned paper prints from the Snow Day Remix 6x6 pad over top. Then I added my focal panel with more foam tape, since I'll be hand-delivering this card, all that dimension won't be a problem.

I finished off the card with a little Crystal Stickles and some stamping on the inside, which you can check out in the video.

This is also Day 5 of my 2019 Holiday Card Series! Click below or watch on YouTube in HD, and don't forget to like and subscribe so you don't miss a video!

And now it's time to head over to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog and check out the other amazing design team samples. Then you can start creating those cards for the guys in your life. We can't wait to see what you make!
