Cool New Year Card - Lawn Fawnatics Feature

Hey friends! Today I'm excited to share a fun New Year's card that I created for our current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. This was actually shared in a post last Friday, but since it was Christmas Day and I already had a card going live for Lawn Fawn that morning, I posted about the first and then got caught up doing family things and forgot to post this one later on. So sorry about that! I hope you'll forgive me. Since I had planned to have the video go live today anyway, just to space them out a bit, hopefully posting it today makes sense anyway.

Anyway, that post is linked HERE, so I hope you'll hop over and check it out. I used the cute yeti from Yeti or Not, and I'll have all supplies and details over there. I also have the video tutorial, so if you'd like to see how this card came together, click below or watch on YouTube. If you enjoy it, please remember to like, comment, and subscribe. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

Magic Iris Snow Globe - Lawn Fawnatics #91

Hello and welcome to Lawn Fawnatics #91! For our final challenge of the year, we are saying goodbye and good riddance to 2020 and ushering in the new, and hopefully better, year. For my project, I decided to create an interactive card using the Magic Iris and the Magic Iris Snow Globe Add-on. The little snowmen and village from Ready Set Snow were the perfect images to put inside my Snow Globe. I colored them with Copics and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I used the Let It Shine 6x6 papers to die cut the snow globe and sausages, then cut out the rest of the magic iris pieces with White Cardstock. I built my mechanism and added the snow globe on top, then accessorized it with elements cut from Narwhal and Storm Cloud Cardstock. At the bottom, I heat embossed a gold sentiment using Merry Messages.

I cut down the striped print with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and layered that on my card, then added the snow globe and decorated it inside and out with my images. I also added a few snowflakes to give it that snow globe effect, and finished off the card with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - December

Hey friends! For my second post today, I'm bringing you the December edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! For this card, I'm taking a break from all the winter-themed cards and jumping forward to Spring with this sweet fox from Let's Curl Up. After all this time spent making holiday cards, I'm in desperate need for some birthday cards, so I added a little gift from Birdie Brown Birth-Yay. I colored all the images with Copic Markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I took some Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock and die cut it with the Elegant Rectangle STAX. Then I blended on Distress Oxide Inks in Tumbled Glass and Broken China for the sky and Twisted Citron and Bundled Sage for the grass, which I cut down with the Grassy Hills Die-namics. On the bottom one, I stamped my sentiment.

I chose four different prints from the Spring Whimsy 6x6 pad and die cut the floral and plaid with the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2, the peach-colored print with the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2, and the green print with another of the Elegant Rectangle STAX. I layered these on top of a Sour Apple card base and popped my focal panel up with foam tape.

Warm & Cozy Wishes Card

Hey friends! I'm so excited to bring you today's card. I absolutely loved creating it! It stars the adorable Hello Bluebird Coffee Friends stamp set. These critters were such a pleasure to color with my Copic Markers! Once they were done, I trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I took the Hello Bluebird Skating Pond Scene and die cut it out of white cardstock, then added some details to the snow drifts and trees with Copics. I also stamped a sentiment in Lawn Fawn Hippo Ink in the bottom right corner. I also die cut the sky with Bristol Smooth Surface and blended on Distress Inks to create a sunset sky. I added my critters and finished off the card with some Stardust Stickles.

Holiday Card Series 2020 #30

Hey friends, today I've got a cute gnome card to share with you. I think this guy is just too adorable! He's from the Trinity Stamps From Our Gnome to Yours stamp set. I colored him in with Copics and also did a quick background, and then trimmed down the panel with the Lawn Fawn Large Cross-Stitched Square Stackables. I added a sentiment from Mama Elephant Mixed Holiday Greetings in the top right corner with Lawn Fawn Noble Fir Ink.

I combined three different prints from the Simple Stories Jingle All the Way 6x8 pad. I die cut the poinsettia and holly prints with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and selectively die cut the bottom of the buffalo plaid print with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Party Banners. I layered those onto my Kraft card base and popped my focal panel up with foam tape. Then I finished off the card with a little Stardust Stickles

This card is Day 30 of my 2020 Holiday Card Series, so if you'd like to see how this card came together, you can click below or watch on YouTube. And if you enjoy it, please be sure to like, comment, and subscribe! Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Winter Wishes Card

Hello friends! Today I'm bringing you a sweet winter card using the adorable My Snowman set from Hello Bluebird. I have really been practicing coloring people lately, in preparation for my Skin & Hair installment of my Copic Favorites Series. I really love how this little girl came out! I've also been playing more with different patterns on clothing, which I'm having so much fun with! Once I finished up these images, I trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I pulled together four different patterns from the Carta Bella Winter Market 6x6 pad. I cut down the focal panel and frame with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Frames and the other two with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I also cut out a snowdrift with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders. I layered the background papers on my Apricot card base, then stamped a sentiment on the focal panel with Deep Sea Ink and popped it up with Foam Tape. I adhered my images and finished off the card with some Stardust Stickles.

Holiday Card Series 2020 #28 - Lawn Fawnatics #90

Hey friends, I'm back today with another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This round we've got a gorgeous color palette to inspire you. For my card, I pulled out Frosty Fairy Friends and colored them with Copics, then trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I blended a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock with Distress Inks and splattered it to create a snowfall effect. I also added splatters with Liquid Stardust, which gives it a nice, pearlized sheen. Then I let that dry and trimmed that panel down with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I adhered that to a Moonstone card base.

I cut two snowdrifts with the Stitched Hillside Borders and stamped a sentiment in Juice Box Ink on the bottom one. I adhered the top one with liquid glue and the bottom one with Scotch Foam Tape. Then I added my images with a mixture of the two adhesives. As a finishing touch, I added a whole lot of sparkle with some Stardust Stickles.

This is also Day 28 of my 2020 Holiday Card Series, so I hope you'll enjoy the video tutorial! If you do, please be sure to like, comment, and subscribe, which all help my channel grow. Thank you so much!

Warm Hugs Card

Hey friends! Today I'm taking a short break from my 2020 Holiday Card Series to bring you this sweet card using Hello Bluebird Frosty Mornings stamp set. I had so much fun coloring up these sweet girls with Copics, and I even gave one of them a little floral pattern on her dress. I also pulled in the little bird from My Snowman for some extra sweetness. Then I trimmed the images out with the matching dies.

After all that time spent coloring, I wanted to create an easy, but eye-catching background. So I die cut some white cardstock with the Mama Elephant Peek A Frame and cut out an extra piece for the ground with the Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside Borders. Then I did a technique that I call "Ink Swiping." I took the ink pad directly to the paper and swiped across the surface, creating a textile look. I used Lawn Fawn inks in Ballet Slippers and Peachy Keen for the top and Manatee and Hippo for the bottom. I also stamped my sentiment in Hippo.

I used the other two dies from the Peek A Frame set to trim down my Simple Stories Cozy Days 6x8 patterned papers, which I layered onto a Narwhal card base. Then I popped my focal panel up with Foam Tape and added some Stardust Stickles as a finishing touch.
