Warm Birthday Wishes Card

Hey friends, happy Friday! It is still cold and snowy here in Pennsylvania, so today's card captures that feel. I used the super sweet Frost-Loving Friends stamp set by Stacey Yacula for MFT. I wanted to try Copic coloring the background as well, so I actually stamped two panels in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. I did the images on one, and the background on the other. When I was done, I used the matching dies to cut out the images and also the lower snow bank on the background panel.

I stamped a sentiment on the bottom of the background with Lawn Fawn Fish Tank Ink. Then I tucked the two snow shoes on either end of the slit on the middle snow drift, and adhered the rest of the images over top. I trimmed out a piece of MFT Party Plaid 6x6 paper with the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 and adhered that to my card base, then popped the focal panel up with foam tape. To finish things off, I added a bit of Stardust Stickles.

Valentine Card Series 2021 #4

Hello friends, welcome back! Today is Day 4 of my 2021 Valentine Card Series and I've got another slimline card for you. This one features the adorable koalas from MFT's Koala-ty Time. Aren't they so sweet? I colored all of them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Next I chose two patterned papers from the Pebbles Lovely Moments 6x8 pad and die cut them with the Mama Elephant Slim Card Basics. I created some dimension by popping up the floral window panel with foam tape over the leaf print. Then I adhered that to the scalloped panel die cut from Lawn Fawn Sage Leaf Cardstock, and that to my Ballet Slippers card base. I snipped apart the tree to make more branches, and added all my images, then finished it off with a little Stardust Stickles.

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - January

Hello friends! I'm so thrilled to be kicking off another year of my series Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! This month I just fell in love with the sweet images from the new Birdie Brown set, Hug It Out. And the sentiments are so timely! I decided to feature the largest image with lots of cute critters to color. I colored them all with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my focal panel, I cut down a piece of white cardstock with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX and stamped a sentiment at the bottom with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and then blended on some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink above that. I adhered my images to the scene, and mounted that to my Sno Cone card base, which I also covered with patterned paper from the Party Plaid 6x6 pad, trimmed down with the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2. To finish things off, I added a bit of Stardust Stickles.

Valentine Card Series 2021 #2 - Lawn Fawnatics #93

Hello friends, welcome to Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #93! Are you in the mood for love? Because we are! For our Lots of Love Challenge, I decided to feature the cute owl from Special Delivery. I colored in him and his array of letters with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my background, I used a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface cardstock and blended on Distress Oxide Inks in Picked RaspberrySpun Sugar, and Worn Lipstick. Then I did some splatter effect with all those inks, plus some Liquid Stardust to give it a nice shine when you tip it in the light.

When the panel was dry, I die cut it with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and then used the Just Stitching Hearts to add the impressions. I adhered it to a Raspberry card base and added my images to the scene. I stamped a sentiment in Blue Jay Ink and trimmed it down with an Everyday Sentiment Banner. Then to finish off the card, I added a bit of Stardust Stickles and some Iridescent Hearts.

Valentine Card Series 2021 #1

Hello friends! Welcome to Day 1 of my 2021 Valentine Card Series! To kick things off, I just had to use the sweet little pup from Avery Elle Frenchie stamp set. Isn't he the cutest? I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my background, I masked off a sidewalk on a piece of Bristol and blended on some Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink. Then I used Speckled Egg for the sky. I stamped a sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black Ink and framed the focal panel with a Sunny Studio Fancy Frames Rectangle. I popped this over some Simple Stories Cozy Days patterned paper, which I trimmed down with a Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables. To finish things off, I added a bit of sparkle with Stardust Stickles.

1 Set 4 Ways - Episode 9 - Avery Elle Llamazing

Hey friends! Today I'm happy to bring you another episode of my popular series 1 Set 4 Ways. This is Episode 9, where I'm showcasing the absolutely adorable Avery Elle Llamazing stamp set. I think these cheeky llamas are so much fun! I colored them all with Copics and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

You might notice that one of the llamas appears twice in this set. That's because there are only three llama's in the set, but I wanted to make four cards. So to make him look slightly different than his twin, I gave him one of the other blankets for his back. And I also stamped the little curly lines to give him some texture. And gave him an entirely different color palette too. See if you can spot him on one of the cards below.

For the backgrounds, I took four panels of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock and watercolored the backgrounds with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens I did two in warm tones, using pink and orange, and two in cool tones, with turquoise and purple. After they were dry, I did some splatter effect, and after that was dry, I stamped my sentiments with Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

To frame up each card, I adhered the background panel to a different colored card base, then die cut the Avery Elle Arrow Mat out of White Cardstock and popped that up with foam tape. I popped up my images as well, varying the arrangement on each card. Then I finished things off with a little Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how these four cards came together, click below or watch on YouTube. And don't forget to like and subscribe! Your support truly means the world. Thanks so much for watching! Have a llamazing day!

Feed the Birds Card

Hey friends, happy Friday! Today I've got a sweet sunrise scene to share with you. For this card I wanted to feature the adorable Feed the Birds set from Hello Bluebird. The images are so peaceful and serene and I really wanted to highlight that. I colored them in with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the focal panel, I trimmed out one piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock with the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Circle Stackables and another with the Stitched Hillside Borders. On the circle, I blended on Distress Oxide Inks in Spun Sugar and Squeezed Lemonade and on the snowdrift I used Shaded Lilac and Tumbled Glass. I adhered those together and stamped a sentiment with Versafine Onxy Black Ink

On the Ballet Slippers card base, I layered three prints of patterned paper from the Simple Stories Cozy Days 6x8 pad. I trimmed the pink polkadot down with the Stitched Scalloped Borders and then once everything was in place, I ran it through with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I popped up the focal panel with foam tape, added my images, and finished off the card with a tiny bit of Stardust Stickles.

Party Like There's No Tomorrow Card - Lawn Fawnatics #92

Hello friends! Welcome to another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This round is all about Outstanding Occasions. I couldn't choose which one to showcase, so I decided to create a card that could work for many different occasions, such as Retirement, Career Change, a Milestone Birthday, or Graduation, and many more. Cards like this are great to have in your stash so that when something comes up, you've already got a card ready to go.

For this card, I chose to combine images from RAWRSOME and Really High Five to give me a volcano that shoots confetti instead of lava. I colored the images with Copic Markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I created a smoky sky using the Cloudy Stencil and some Distress Oxide Ink in Hickory Smoke and Black Soot. I did some splatter to create ash in the sky and trimmed that down with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables

I adhered the cloudy background to my card base and added two Stitched Hillside Borders in Kraft Cardstock and Noble Fir. I stamped the sentiment on the bottom one in Walnut Ink. Then I adhered my images using liquid glue to create this fun, party scene.

And now it's time to check out what the rest of the Lawn Fawnatics Design Team has created for their Outstanding Occasions. We hope it will inspire you to come play along!
