2024 Valentine Card Series #8

Hey friends! It's Day 8 of my 2024 Valentine Card Series and this one features the super adorable squirrels from Hello Bluebird Oh Nuts! I adore these sweet little critters so much and I was itching to use them again. I inked them up with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers to match the Simple Stories Cozy Days 6x8 pad, and trimmed them out with the coordinating dies.

For the focal panel I trimmed down some Bristol Cardstock with the Hello Bluebird Nesting Circles, then blended on Spun Sugar and Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Inks using the Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil. I added a mat of Ground Coffee Cardstock and popped that up over the patterned paper I layered on the card. The My Favorite Words sentiment I die cut out of both the Ground Coffee and also some Vellum and layered the two, then also popped that up with foam tape. To finish off the card I added some Iridescent Hearts and Stardust Stickles.

2024 Valentine Card Series #4 - Lawn Fawn Lots of Heart Week

Hey friends, it's Lots of Heart Week on the Lawn Fawn blog with lots of lovey dovey inspiration for you all! Today I'm honored to be featured as one of the contributors. For my card, I wanted to use the adorable new porcupine from the Porcu-pine for You Add-on and make it look as though he was popping out of the center of a bouquet.

I combined him with additional images from Porcu-pine for YouOur Friendship GrowsA Bug Deal, and Stinkin Cute. I stamped all of the images in Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I cut a Stitched Heart Stackables from Ballet Slippers Cardstock and arranged the images to fit inside it.

I also created a card base from Ballet Slippers, and then trimmed down a piece of patterned paper from the Spiffy Speckles 6x6 pad with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and glued it over top. Then I popped up the heart with foam tape. I did the first part of my sentiment using Finley's ABCs and white heat embossed the rest onto a Ground Coffee Everyday Sentiment Banner.

This card is also Day 4 of my 2024 Valentine Card Series, so if you'd like to see how it came together, click below or find the video tutorial here on YouTube. I really hope you enjoy it! Thanks so much for watching! It really means a lot.

2024 Valentine Card Series #3 - Lawn Fawnatics #165

Hey friends, welcome to Lawn Fawnatics #165! This round we've got Lots of Heart! Who doesn't love that? For my card, I featured the sweet little mouse from the new All My Heart stamp set, combining it with the heart balloon from the Scent with Love Add-on. I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my background, I started with a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock and blended on some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink using the Cloudy Stencil. Then I stamped part of my sentiment at the bottom in black ink and die cut the rest from Barn Red Cardstock using Finley's ABCs.

I cut the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frame out of Guava Cardstock and added that to my focal panel. Then I cut another piece of Barn Red with the Quilted Heart Backdrop: Portrait and glued it to a Guava card base. I popped the focal panel up with foam tape and adhered my images, finishing with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

For the background, I took a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock and blended on Distress Oxide Inks, using Twisted CitronPeacock FeathersPicked RaspberryWilted Violet,  and Black Soot to look like the Northern Lights. Then I splattered on some Gansai Tambi Starry Colors and Dr. Ph Martin's Bleedproof White to give it stars and snowflakes.

I trimmed that down with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and adhered it to a Mermaid card base. I added a white Simple Stitched Hillside Border snowdrift and stamped a sentiment from Holiday Party Animal in Peacock Ink.
