Thankful For You

Hello everyone! I hope all my American friends had a wonderful
Thanksgiving full of feasting and laughter and love.

Today I'm showcasing this tag I made which would be lovely
attached to baked goods you might be giving this holiday season.

I also thought you might enjoy a peek at two of the desserts I made:

Autumn Cheesecake

and Cinnamon Streusel Pumpkin Bread

Both turned out delicious!

What was your favorite food from your Thanksgiving feast?

Peachy Keen Noel

Hello everyone!
Tonight I did something I haven't done in a long time.
Played along in a challenge!
Well, at least one that I'm not on the design team of. ;)
I do love challenges, but I just seldom have any leftover
crafty free time that isn't committed to personal deadlines.

But I recently came across the WPlus9 Monday Mood Board
and I determined that I would find a way to fit it in!
I ADORE WPlus9 Design Studio products and I think
that Dawn, the owner, is just as sweet as can be.

So here's Monday Mood Board #29.

I thought the pretty peaches, oranges, green, kraft and white
would make a really unique combination for a holiday card.
So I pulled out Iconic Christmas, one of my most favorite
Christmas stamp sets on the planet.

Here and here are some other cards I have made with this set.

I also used some Studio Calico papers and May Arts ribbon.

I hope you like it!

The Monday Mood Board Challenge is still open for another day,
why not create something and play along?
I'm glad I did. :)

Have a great evening!

Wrapped In Happiness

Hello all, happy Friday!
Today I am bringing you exciting news,
as Crafter's Companion is releasing another brand-new line.
The Christmas Sentimentals were so popular, they decided to
design an Everyday Sentimentals set as well!

For my card I used one of the many wonderful sentiments
in the Friends and Family stamp set -- one of FOUR in this new line.
Making your sentiment the focal point is a great way
to whip up quick and easy cards!

I hope you'll check out the whole Sentimentals range

Have a great day!

2013 Christmas Card Series #4

Hey everyone!
Today I'd like to share my 4th installment in my
2013 Christmas Card Series!

For this card I used the set "Lighter Than Air" from TAWS
where I show you how to look for everyday  stamp images
that can do double duty for your holiday cards.
In an unplanned bonus, ;) I show you how to cover up a mistake
so that no one but you will ever know it's there!

I colored this card with my Spectrum Noirs
and go over that with a Wink of Stella glitter pen.

Hope you enjoy!

Christmas Lanterns

Hello there!
Today I've got something totally different to share with you all
and I really hope you'll like it!

It's not often that I share the work I do at my day job here on my blog,
but we got these cool new lanterns in and I just had to make
some Christmas arrangements with them.

I thought they turned out pretty, so I snapped some pics to share.

This one was my first attempt.
I used lots of branches, pretty red and white chevron ribbon
paired with a narrower snowflake ribbon, and added red berries
and a cardinal in a nest as my focal element.

For my second one, I wanted to go a little more elegant,
so I used lots of gold and silver accents, with some cream and white
elements including bulb ornaments and pointsettias.

Both lanterns have a battery operated candle inside.
You don't want to use a regular candle unless you had no plans to light it,
since the decorations are definitely flammable.

I'm really curious to hear what you guys think. :)

I know you come here looking for card inspiration,
but I hope you don't mind a break from that this once. :)

Have a great day!

2013 Christmas Card Series #3

Hello everyone!
I had some free time yesterday so I jumped at the chance
to film and create another card for you all in my
2013 Christmas Card Series.

I used Lawn Fawn's adorable Winter Sparrows stamp set
and colored it in with my Spectrum Noir Next Generation markers.
The papers I used were from the Peace Joy Love Collection Kit
and I added some Stickles and a wood veneer heart to dress it up.

Hope you enjoy the video!

2013 Christmas Card Series #2

Hello all!
This week the teams at Crafter's Companion and Xyron
are collaborating to bring you some fun holiday projects.

I chose to use the Xyron Mega Runner to make the second installment
of my 2013 Christmas Card Series using this sweet stamp from

I also colored him in with my Spectrum Noir Next Generation markers.
you'll notice I've switched some of my chisel tips to the new brush nibs.
In my opinion, having the bullet and brush nibs are the best of both worlds
and I'm so glad we have that option now with the redesigned pens!

I've actually filmed a video on just how quick and easy it is to swap them,
and I'll add that beneath the card video tutorial. :)

The colors I chose were:
TN3, TN5, TN7, TN8, TN9, PP1, PP2, FS1, FS2, DR3, DR5,
DR7, DG2, DG3, BG1, and BG2.
And of course I used my favorite white card stock, the

2013 Christmas Card Series #1

Hello everyone!
Today I get to bring to you something that I've been wanting to
for the past three years -- my very first ever Christmas Card Video Series!
Just knowing how crazy my life is and how every day is subject to
so many twists and turns, I'm not going to post them on any
particular schedule -- this year anyway.
Sorry, I know that does make it easier.
But I will try to post them as often as I can,
and my goal is to have at least one per week through Christmas,
and possibly some additional Christmas crafts as well.

Today I'm featuring an adorable set called Festive Fun

I used a "dotting" technique to give the look of texture to the fur.
I used my Spectrum Noir markers in shades:
CR8, CR10, DR4, DR7, BG1, BG2, BG3, BG4, BG6, BG8, EB1, EB2,
 DG2, DG3, IB1, IB2, PP2, and the Blender on

I hope you enjoy the video!

who have generously donated a $25 gift certificate to our winner.

And Speaking of Simon Says Stamp, did you know that that
they also have a challenge blog?
This round it's ANYTHING GOES, so I'll be linking up there as well.

On to my card:

I really wanted to make a punny sentiment for my card,
so this is the idea I came up with.
I used Lawn Fawn sets: A Good Apple, Critters On The Savanna,
A Birdie Told Me (both the stamps and the dies),
Interlocking Backdrops, and Stay Tuned.

I hope you like it!

Hop on over to the Lawnscaping Challenge blog
to check out the other amazing DT samples and
find out how to play along.

See you there!
