Kind Thanks Card

Hey friends, today I'm back with another card using Hello Bluebird Feed the Birds. I used the other little girl in this set to create this card back in January, but I loved both kiddos so much I just had to use it again. And I really wanted to use the squirrels! I stamped all my images in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored them with Copics, then trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my focal panel, I used the cloud print from the Simple Stories Sweet Talk 6x8 pad as the sky, then added two snow banks with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders. I chose three more prints of patterned paper to layer onto my Ballet Slippers card base, and trimmed those down with the MFT A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2. Then I popped my focal panel up with foam tape, adhered my images, and finished off with some Stardust Stickles.

Snow Much Fun Card

Hi there, friends, today I'm back with a sweet slimline card using Hello Bluebird Polar Pals. I adore these cute polar bears and their penguin pals! I started by stamping out all the images in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and coloring them with Copic markers. Then I trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I cut the Hello Bluebird Winter Walk Scene out of more white cardstock, then began to assemble it back together like a puzzle, coloring each section with Copics as I built it. I adhered my images and finished off the card with a stamped sentiment and some Stardust Stickles.

Hello Chickadee - Lawn Fawnatics #95

Hey friends! It's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This round we've got a fun card sketch to inspire you. I wanted to feature the hens and chicks from Critters on the Farm, which is definitely an older set, but still one of my favorites. I started by doing some mirror stamping of the hen, using my Mini Media Mat, then colored all the images with Copies and trimmed them out with the matching dies, except for the reverse hen, which I fussy cut.

To represent the card sketch, I decided to use the Foursquare Backdrop: Portrait, so I die cut that out of Blue Jay Cardstock. Inside the squares I used Mermaid for the sky, and Cilantro for the grass. I adhered my images and used the Scripty Hello in Chili Pepper for half of my sentiment. The other half I white heat embossed onto some Narwhal Cardstock and trimmed out with an Everyday Sentiment Banner.

Valentine Card Series #7

Hey friends! Today is the seventh and final installment in my 2021 Valentine Card Series. This one features the sweet fox and bunny from the Birdie Brown Hug It Out set from MFT. I used this set last month for Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things, but I loved it so much I had to stamp out a different image for this card. I colored it with Copic markers and trimmed it out with the matching dies.

For the focal panel, I used the cloud print from the Simple Stories Sweet Talk 6x8 pad and added grassy hill with the Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside Borders and colored that with Copics as well. I layered two more prints on top of a Lawn Fawn Chili Pepper card base and popped up the focal panel with foam tape. I finished off the card with some Stardust Stickles.

Valentine Card Series #6

Happy Monday, friends! Today I'm bringing you Day 6 of my 2120 Valentine Card Series. This one features the cute Breakfast Puns by Sunny Studio. I stamped all my images in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored them with my Copic markers, adding a few details with a White Jelly Roll Pen. Then I trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my focal panel, I took the inner die from the Sunny Studio Slimline Scalloped Frame and die cut a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. Then I blended on Distress Oxide Ink in Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar, creating an ombre effect from top to bottom. I also added splatters and some hearts stamped in Candied Apple, then adhered my images and sentiment strip.

I created a slimline card with Lawn Fawn Raspberry Cardstock and covered it in patterned paper from the Simple Stories Sweet Talk 6x8 pad. Then I popped my focal panel up with foam tape and finished off the card with some Studio Katia Iridescent Hearts.

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - February

Hey friends! Today I'm so happy to bring you the February edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! I chose to feature the lovely Friendly Unicorns, which are so fun to color and play with. I colored them in all their rainbow glory with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies

For the focal panel, I started with some Sno Cone Cardstock and trimmed that down with an Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX. Then I added a Grassy Hill with green gingham patterned paper from the Positively Peppy 6x6 pad. I cut a few more prints down with the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2, and the pink print with the Stitched Scalloped Basic Edges 2. I layered all those onto my card base. I also trimmed off the right side of the focal panel to match the edge of the patterned paper and popped that up with foam tape. To finish off the card, I added a sentiment on an Essential Stitched Sentiment Strip and a bit of Stardust Stickles.

Valentine Card Series 2021 #5

Hey friends! Can you feel the love in the air? For Day 5 of my 2021 Valentine Card Series I'm featuring the sweet Mama Elephant Up With Love stamp set. The critters in this set are just so darn cute! I picked the bunny and bear for the outside (spoiler alert: the other two critters are stamped on the inside) and colored them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the focal panel, I used a cloud print from the Simple Stories Sweet Talk 6x8 pad to make a quick and easy background and framed it up with a Sunny Studio Fancy Frames Rectangle. I chose two more prints and trimmed those down with the outer die from Frilly Frames Quatrefoil, then layered those onto a Lawn Fawn Guava card base. I popped up my focal panel with foam tape and finished things off with a sprinkle of Iridescent Hearts and some Stardust Stickles.

Love Ya Snow Much - Lawn Fawnatics #94

Hey friends, welcome to another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This time our theme centers around what has to be the most common topic of small talk all over the globe: What's the Weather? So much fun! I decided to go with the current state of things here in PA, which is lots and lots of SNOW. And I pulled in the baby bears from Snow Much Fun and Den Sweet Den to help me showcase that.

I colored the three bears with Copics and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I started work on my background. I blended Distress Oxides onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock in the colors Cracked PistachioPeacock Feathers, and Blueprint Sketch. I also splattered it with some Liquid Stardust and Copic Opaque White to create the look of snowfall. Once the panel was dry, I trimmed it down with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and adhered it to a Blue Jay card base.

For my sentiment, I die cut the letters S, N, and W out of White Cardstock using Finley's ABCs, then used one of the Stitched Snowflakes to replace the O. I also heat embossed the rest of the sentiment on Blue Jay Cardstock and trimmed that down into two little strips with the Everyday Sentiment Banners. I adhered my sentiment and images and finished off the card with a little Stardust Stickles.
