Fox & Flowers Card - Lawn Fawnatics #221

Hey friends, it's time for a new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This time, we're telling the stamps to step aside and focusing all our attention on dies! For my card, I wanted to use the Build-A-Wheelbarrow, and I thought it would be so cute with the Build-A-Fox poking out.

I used so much Lawn Fawn colored cardstock for this one. I'll have all of the colors shown clearly in the video tutorial and also linked in the description bar below the video on YouTube. I nestled my scene inside the Secret Garden Window, which I die cut from patterned paper.

A stamped sentiment is totally okay for this one, as long as the die-cuts are the focus. I built a custom greeting using Henry's Build-A-Sentiment: Birthday, stamped in Bubblegum Ink, and die cut with one of the Everyday Sentiment Banners.

Cozy Bookshelf Bday Card - Lawn Fawn Feature

Hey friends! Today I'm on the Lawn Fawn blog and YouTube channel with a super fun card, turning the new Workshop Backdrop: Portrait into a bookshelf! And just like my bookshelves at home, I stuffed it full of all kinds of fun little trinkets between the stacks of books. I used so many sets on this one, including Cozy Cats, Purrfectly Wicked, and Little Woodland Library. I'll have all the others in my post over there and also linked below the video on my own channel. If you'd like to watch and see how this one came together, click the video thumbnail below, or find it HERE at Christy Gets Crafty!

Panda-stic Birthday Card - Lawn Fawnatics #220

Hey friends! It's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, and this is a fun one! We're creating cards inspired by another design team member! I can't even count the number of times that I have been so inspired by another designer's card that my fingers immediately started itching to create. If that feeling has ever struck you too, then this challenge is for you!

I honestly had such a hard time settling on which card to choose, because there were just so many, but I finally narrowed it down to this incredible one by Grace. I just love the images she used, the beautiful layout, the gorgeous color palette, and of course, the patterned paper! There was just so much to love. I wanted to pay definite homage to her design, but also give it a few twists to make it my own.

I started with the theme. Grace's card was for Valentine's Day, but I wanted to make a birthday card instead. I combined the I Heart Pandas and I Heart Panda's Add-on with Capybaras! I colored the images with Copics and trimmed them out with the matching dies. I loved the scalloped edge of her focal panel, but decided to use the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames for something slightly different. And since less of my background was going to show, I skipped the stenciled background and just blended on some Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink.

Because I brought in the little mandarin orange images from the Capybaras, I knew I had to use some Fruit Salad 6x6 patterned paper. I paired that with Peach Cardstock for the card base and frame, and added a Scripty Birthday sentiment in Ballet Slippers and Guava. I also added an Everyday Sentiment Banner that I white heat embossed on Black Licorice Cardstock. And I finished off with a little Stardust Stickles.
