Art Journal with Me #22 - Keep an Open Heart

Hey friends, today I'm back with my October Art Journal with Me video. This month in my Square Watercolor Journal I went with a bit of a spooky season theme, using lots of mushroom washi stickers and some patterned paper from the Stamperia Forest 8x8 pad.

I also included some Washi Tape and other bits of Junk Journal Pages and Ephemera to build up the layers and scraps of a newspaper from the town where my family has our reunion every fall for that personal touch. Then I brought in Stabilio Woody 3 in 1 pencil crayons for some added color.

I really hope that you guys enjoy this chatty, crafty video and that you'll grab some supplies and craft along, or make yourself a snack or a drink and just hang out. I love to get caught up with you all in the comments. Thanks so much for watching!

Witching You Card

Hey friends, I'm sneaking in one last Halloween card today using the adorable Hello Bluebird Sabrina stamp set. I just love these little witchy girls. And I brought in a couple leaves from Peek-A-Boo to help set the scene. I colored all the images with Copic markers to match some patterned paper from the American Crafts Farmstead Harvest 6x8 pad and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I layered up some of the patterns on my card front.

For the focal panel, I trimmed down some Black Licorice Cardstock with the Hello Bluebird Nesting Ovals and blended on some white pigment ink using the MFT Rolling Clouds and Drifts & Hills stencils. Then I also die cut the Build A Boo letters out and white heat embossed the rest of the sentiment and gave it the same "ghostly" treatment. To finish off I added some gold sequins and Stardust Stickles.

Monochromatic Squirrel Card - Lawn Fawnatics #159

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this time we're going Monochromatic! I've been feeling the Fall vibes lately, so I chose the color RUST. I combined images from Let's Go Nuts with the tree branches from Winter Birds and colored them with Copic markers in a range from burnt orange to brown and then trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I blended Crackling Campfire and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink onto a panel of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock, then splattered on water, the inks, and some Gansai Tambi Starry Colors before trimming it down with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables

Then I adhered the background to a Ground Coffee card base and White Heat Embossed my sentiment strips. I popped up those, as well as the images with foam tape. Then I finished with a little extra sparkle by adding Platinum Stickles to the leaves.

Cup Full of Thanks Card - Lawn Fawnatics #158

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this time we are making the Sentiment the Star. I don't know if I quite succeeded at this one, but it is nice and bold at least! I wanted to create a little fall bouquet in a mug, so I combined a bunch of Lawn Fawn sets, including Thanks a LatteOur Friendship GrowsScripty Autumn SentimentsFairy Friends, and Frosty Fairy Friends. I colored the images with Copics and trimmed them out with their matching dies.

For the background, I trimmed down some Spiffier Speckles 6x6 paper with the largest Small Stitched Circle Stackables and popped that over some Favorite Flannel 6x6 paper, which I trimmed down with the largest Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables. Then I adhered my images with liquid glue, with the exception of one leaf, which I popped up with foam tape down by the sentiment.

For the sentiment, I die cut the Scripty Thanks from some Ground Coffee and Kraft Cardstock and layered the two to create a drop shadow effect. I also stamped out the rest of the sentiment in Walnut Ink on another piece of Kraft and trimmed it down with the smallest Everyday Sentiment Banners. I also added some Platinum Stickles to the word THANKS to give it a little extra oomph.
