Picked for You Card

Hi friends! Today I've got a sweet little card featuring Hello Bluebird Picked for You. I love this adorable little girl and her bunny friend out picking wildflowers in the meadow. I colored the images with Copic Markers, even giving the girl a cute patterned skirt, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I created a sky background using the Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. Then I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the ground, and trimmed off the top with the MFT Grassy Hills Die-namics. I layered these pieces over top of a sheet of Carta Bella Flora #3 patterned paper and added a Gallery Frame #2 on top with foam tape using MFT Tickled Pink cardstock. And I finished off the inside with some stamping in Lawn Fawn Bubblegum ink.

Lawn Fawnatics May Feature

Hey friends, today I'm happy to be over on the Lawn Fawnatics Blog with another card for our Oh Baby! challenge. This time I decided to create a unisex card for those times when the happy couple chooses not to find out the gender, or if you just want to create a stash of cards before you know what the gender will be.

I combined a whole bunch of sets to create this simple Meadow Backdrop scene, including Butterfly Kisses, Jump for Joy, Mom + MeOn the BeachCritters in the Burbs, and Reveal Wheel Spring Sentiments. All the other products and details will be listed and linked over there, so I hope you'll check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello Little Prince - Lawn Fawnatics #77

Hey friends, welcome to Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #77! This round we're celebrating the impending birth of baby boy Lawn Fawn, Kelly Marie and Mike's little bundle, who will be here any day now! I'm so excited for them, and this card will definitely be headed their way as soon as the little guy arrives.

I used so many sets on this card, including Wild for You, Critters in the JungleCritters from the Past, A Bug DealBannertastic, and Hello Baby. I colored up the sweet lion prince with Copic Markers, then did the leaves in different shades of blue to tie into the little boy theme.

I made a card base of Moonstone cardstock and layered on a piece of Gotta Have Gingham patterned paper, which I trimmed down with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I did a little watercoloring on the inside piece of the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames, then popped up the frame with foam tape and adhered my images. I added two clouds from Spring Showers, and a little Stardust Stickles to finish it off.

If you'd like to see how this card came together click below or watch on YouTube, and don't forget to like and subscribe! I appreciate it! And I've got lots of fun things going on on my channel right now!

And now it's time to head over to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog and check out the other adorable creations the design team has come up with to welcome baby Lawn Fawn! We hope you'll be inspired to play along!

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - May

Hello! Today I'm so happy to bring you the May edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! I totally fell in love with the new Birdie Brown Hanging with my Gnomies set! Talk about adorable. I picked out my favorite guy and gave him the little bird from Bring Out the Sunshinefor a friend. I colored my images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my background, I cut some Sno Cone Cardstock with the Wonky Stitched Circle STAX and added a Grassy Hill with Sour Apple. I stamped a sentiment at the top with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and adhered my images with liquid glue.

I made my card base from Peach Bellini Cardstock and layered on some patterned papers from Woodgrain Whimsy and Spring Whimsy that I trimmed down with the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2. Then I popped up my focal panel with foam tape for some added dimension. I had a little glue mishap toward the end of making the card, so I covered it up with a tiny lady bug, and added a second one for balance at the top. Talk about a happy accident! I think they were meant to share this happy scene.

I hope you enjoy my May video! I had such a blast creating it for you. To see how the card came together, watch below or on the My Favorite Things YouTube Channel. Thanks so much for stopping by!

My Copic Favorites Series - Part 2: Rainbow and Basic Color Recommendations

Today I'm happy to bring you Part 2 of my Copic Favorites Series! While Part 1 was geared more toward Copic users in general, this video is for card makers more specifically. I talk about what inks are best to use with Copic coloring, how your work surface can affect your coloring results, and which three group blends of markers I recommend getting first when you are building up your collection. I chose markers in a rainbow of colors, as well as a few basic neutrals, so you can pick and choose which families suit the kind of images you want to be able to color most.

The video is long, since there was a lot of ground to cover, so at the end of this post, you will find a complete list of the markers I mention in the video. I really hope you find it helpful and informative! If you do, please hit that like button on YouTube and subscribe to my channel!

Foxy Goodie Bag - Lawn Fawnatics #76

Hello, and welcome to our Lawn Fawnatics Challenge: Anything but a Card! Today I've got a cute little Goodie Bag for you, featuring the sweet fox from Critters in the Forest. I cut the bag out of Woodgrain Cardstock to give it some texture, then added a Scalloped Circle of Fall Fling patterned paper behind the focal panel for a little punch of color. I trimmed out the sentiment using one of the Chit Chat dies and added a sweet little bow of Coral Twine to finish it off.
