Beary Chill Birthday Card

Hey friends, who's ready for some fun in the sun? Today's card features some very chill bears on a birthday holiday to the seashore. I used the cute new MFT Beach Bears stamp set and chose a striped patterned paper from the Echo Park Pool Party 6x6 pad and colored my images to match. Then I trimmed them out with the coordinating dies.

For my background, I blended Distress Oxide Inks onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. First I taped off the ocean with Post-it Tape, and then did the sand with Antique Linen, and Gathered Twigs, and the water with Salvaged Patina and Evergreen Bough. Then I stippled on some Copic Opaque White to create some waves along the shoreline. I stamped a sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black Ink and trimmed the panel down with an MFT A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2.

I choose a coordinating patterned paper and trimmed it down with the same die set, then layered them onto a Sno Cone card base and popped the focal panel up with foam tape. I adhered my images with liquid glue and finished with some White Gel Pen details. I also stamped on the inside of the card, but you can check that out in the video.

Blown Away Card - Lawn Fawnatics #103

Hello friends, welcome to another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This round we are focusing on Little Things and making those smaller images the star. I decided to use the cute little mice from Bubbles of Joy and create a fun, summery scene. I colored the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I started the background with the sky using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and the Cloudy Stencil. Then I added the grass from Mushroom Border, which I blended with Mowed Lawn and Lucky Clover. I die cut three windows in the cloudy sky with the Circle Stackables, and colored a panel behind to look like more bubbles, then popped the cloudy sky up with foam tape for some added dimension.

I stamped a sentiment on the grass and adhered my images with liquid glue, and finished the card with a little Stardust Stickles on the bubbles. I also did some stamping on the inside, which you can check out in the video.

Flying By Slimline Card

Happy Friday, friends! Today I've got a fun slimline card for you using the sweet Hello Bluebird Flying High stamp set. In the video, I share a tip for lining up the hot air balloon image over the die cut so that the narrow strings stamp perfect each time. I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I cut down a slimline panel from Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. Then I blended on Distress Oxide Ink in Spun SugarKitch Flamingo, and Picked Raspberry and did some splatter detail for more interest. I added a sentiment at the bottom and some clouds from Partly Cloudy, then popped up my hot air balloons with foam tape. I finished with a trio of bluebirds, some pink shading on the clouds, and a little Stardust Stickles.

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - June

Hey friends, it's Christy! Today I'm back with the June edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! I could not resist the cute critters in the Crafty Companions stamp set by Rachelle Anne Miller. This little artist caught my eye, and I decided to try to depict him inside his own painting! I colored the images in with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the focal panel I used the Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangle STAX to die cut some Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. Then I blended Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink over the Rolling Clouds Stencil. I added a Grassy Hill inked with Mowed Lawn and Lucky Clover. I stamped my sentiment at the top and adhered my images with liquid glue.

The background I wanted to mimic the little canvas the raccoon was working on, so I watercolored with more Distress Oxide Inks, including Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, and Dusty Concord. Once that was dry, I trimmed it down with the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 and adhered it to a Sno Cone card base. I popped the focal panel up with foam tape, added a sprinkle of Sparkling Clear Sequins down the left side, and filled in the centers with Stardust Stickles.

Mermaid Birthday - Waffle Flower Challenge Guest

Hello friends, I'm back again with some fun news! I'm guest designing with Waffle Flower Crafts for their super fun Create a Rainbow Challenge! For my card, I went with a neon rainbow using the gorgeous Mermaid Mail stamp set. I colored my images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I used my Waffle Flower Mini Media Mat to create a blended background on a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. I started in the center with Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink, then added Lucky Clover, and finally Pine Needles to darken up the edges.
I adhered my images, stamped a greeting from Under the Sea Sentiments, and finished with some Clear Droplets.

Rain or Shine Card

Happy Monday, friends! Today I've got a fun card to share using the Mama Elephant Flower Shower stamp set. I just love these adorable critters and their flower umbrellas! I colored them with Copic markers to match the Carta Bella Summer 6x6 pad and trimmed them out with the .coordinating dies.

I created a stormy sky background using the Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil and blending Distress Oxide Inks onto Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. I used Stormy Sky and Tumbled Glass for the sky, and Mowed Lawn and Lucky Clover for the Grassy Hills. I trimmed those down with the MFT A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 and popped them up with foam tape over the patterned paper. I added my images and finished off with a little bit of Stardust Stickles.

Go Wild Birthday Card

Hey friends, I'm back today with another card using the new release from Hello Bluebird! This time I was itching to play with the cute critters from Word Buddies Jungle. They're so dang cute! I combined them with some foliage from Jungle Littles. I colored all the images with Copic markers to match my patterned paper, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I watercolored using Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock, and added some splatters with Chipped Sapphire. Then I die cut the Hello Bluebird Gallery Frame #2 from some Echo Park Pool Party patterned paper. I popped that up over the background, added my images and sentiment banner, and spelled out the word PARTY with the Jane Small Alpha dies. I finished up with a little Stardust Stickles.

Big Ocean Hugs - Lawn Fawnatics #102

Hello friends! It's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, and this time our theme is All Things Ocean! So fun! For my card, I combined Ocean Shell-fie and Fintastic Friends to fill my scene with fabulous aquatic critters. I stamped them in Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my background, I used Post-it Tape to mask off the bottom of a Bristol Smooth Surface panel, then blended Distress Oxide Ink in Peacock FeathersBlueprint Sketch, and Chipped Sapphire for the water, and Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs for the sand. I set the panel aside to dry, and then die cut the Giant Sending Big Hugs from the center and trimmed it down with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables.

I filled in the words with Kraft Cardstock so that everything would be level, and then added the die-cut sentiment over top, shifted to the right. That way I get a more subtle sentiment that doesn't take away too much of my background. To get that to stand out just a bit more, I coated the letters with a Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Overlay Pen and finished off the card with Stardust Stickles.

Pig Out Picnic Card

Hey friends! Today I am super excited to be sharing my first official card for the Hello Bluebird design team! There were so many amazing sets in this new release, but the one I had to play with first was the adorable Pig Out, which I combined with Strawberry Jam, and Bloom and Grow. I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

The Summer Woods Scene makes such a great backdrop for so many of your Hello Bluebird critters and kids and I thought it would be perfect for this little picnic. I die cut it from Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock and used Distress Inks to color it in. For the sky I used Tumbled Glass, then Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the grass, and Gathered Twigs for the trees.
I stamped a sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black Ink, adhered my images with liquid glue, and finished off the scene with a little Stardust Stickles.
