2021 Holiday Card Series #14

Hey friends, welcome to Day 14 of my 2021 Holiday Card Series! Today's card features the adorable Sweet Christmas by Hello Bluebird stamp set. Aren't these gingerbread people just so darling? I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I blended some Distress Oxides onto Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock for my backgrounds. I used Cracked Pistachio for the snow globe background, then stamped on the peppermint candies as snowflakes. For the card base panel, I also added in some splatters of Lucky Clover and the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors.

Then I took the Hello Bluebird Snow Globe Builder and trimmed out two white snow drifts, a frame in Lawn Fawn Guava Cardstock and a base in Lawn Fawn Light Brown Woodgrain Cardstock. Then I stamped a sentiment from Merry Little Christmas in Walnut Ink. I adhered the inked panel to a Kraft card base, then glued the snow globe in the middle of that. I added my images and finished with a bit of White Gel Pen details and some Stardust Stickles.

Fawny Holiday Week! + 2021 Holiday Card Series #12

Hey friends, it's Fawny Holiday Week at Lawn Fawn, and I'm so happy to be participating today with this fun card combining so many sets to depict Santa's Workshop! I used Ho-Ho-HolidaysHoliday HelpersYou're Just My TypePurrfectly WickedUnicorn Picnic, and the Virtual Friends Add-on. I colored them all in with my Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

To give the room that old-world charm, I blended Distress Inks onto a panel of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. I used Antique Linen for the walls, and Gathered Twigs for the floor, and masked off the baseboard with Post-it Tape. I trimmed that panel down with an Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and glued it to a Ground Coffee card base, then finished with a Walnut Ink sentiment and a bit of Stardust Stickles.

2021 Holiday Card Series #11

Hey friends, welcome to Day 11 of my Holiday Card Series! Today I'm featuring the sweet Avery Elle Christmas Critters. This was the very first Christmas stamp set I purchased for my series this year, so I'm so happy to finally be using it. I stamped all the images in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I mixed patterned papers to my heart's content! I used the DCWV Holly Jolly 6x6 pad, which is just so pretty. I cut the two base prints with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and gave the red plaid a rounded edge with one of the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders. The two I used for the focal panel I die cut with the Large Cross-Stitched Square Stackables and used another one of the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders for the snow drift. I popped my focal panel up with foam tape, adhered my images and Everyday Sentiment Banner, and finished with a few Sequins and some Christmas Red and Stardust Stickles.

2021 Holiday Card Series #10

Hey friends, welcome to Day 10 of my Holiday Card Series! Today's card features one of my favorite sets from the Hello Bluebird new release, Deck the Tree. For this card, I featured the cute little bunnies. I stamped them and their Christmas accessories in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.
Then I die cut the High Rise Tree Scene from Kraft Cardstock and inked up the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink.

For the background, I die cut some Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock with the largest Nesting Mini Slimline, and inked that up with more Distress Oxide Inks. I used Cracked Pistachio and Evergreen Bough, then splattered that with Gansai Tambi Starry Colors and adhered it to a Sage Leaf card base. I added some Slimline Hill and Dale snowdrifts (since I don't have the regular size) and adhered my tree with foam tape between them and added some Chunky Glitter and my images, as well as a Nesting Circle sentiment moon.

I also created a full-size slimline version of this card featuring the red squirrels decking bunny's home. This one features a much darker night sky. Which version is your favorite? I can't decide!

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - November

Hello friends, and welcome to the November edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! For today's card my youngest son actually picked out some of my supplies. He chose the Winter Wonder stamp set, because it has two of my favorite animals in it, polar bears and red squirrels. I decided to pair that with Put the Jolly in the Holidays for the trees and the sentiment, since I'm still working on my Christmas cards. I colored everything in with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I white heat embossed snowflakes onto an Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX and blended over that with Distress Oxide Inks, then added a Stitched Slimline Snow Drift (since I don't have the regular size in my stash).

The other item that my son picked out for me was the lime green tree patterned paper from the Holly Jolly 6x6 pad, which I of course, had to use, but I also wanted to add in more color so I pulled in a plaid from the Cheerful Plaid 6x6. I die cut both of those with the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2, and sandwiched a Stitched Scalloped Basic Edges 2 between the prints when I adhered them to the Sno Cone card base.

I popped the focal panel up with foam tape, and added a sentiment stamped on one of the Grounding Elements for something a little different, then adhered my images. I finished the card with a couple sequins and some Stickles glitter glue.

I really hope you enjoyed this one, especially since my son had a hand in it's creation! That just made it extra fun for me. If you'd like to see this card come together, click below or watch on the MFT Stamps YouTube Channel! Have a great day!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #113 - Holiday Card Series #9

Hello there friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this is a good one! It's time to bust out those Holiday Critters! For my card, I wanted to go with something more unexpected, so I combined the Halloween kitties from Purrfectly Wicked with a bunch of Christmas sets, including Furry and BrightJoy to AllHoliday HelpersCheery Christmas, and Baaah Humbug. I colored them all with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my background, I used Let it Shine Snowflakes 6x6 patterned paper for the wallpaper, Woodgrain Dark Brown Cardstock for the floor, and a little strip of white for the baseboard, all trimmed out with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I glued those down on a Chili Pepper card base.

Then it was time to stage my scene with these naughty kitties getting into the Christmas decor. I adhered all my images and stamped a custom sentiment using "have a PURR-FECT" from Spooktacular in Jet Black Ink and "Christmas" from Baaah Humbug in Lobster Ink. I stamped a Flirty Frame around that and hung it on my wall like a picture frame. And then of course, added a bit of Stardust Stickles.

This is also Day 9 of my 2021 Holiday Card Series, which I really hope you've been enjoying so far. Make sure you're subscribed so you don't miss any videos in the series! And if you'd like the video, I would really appreciate your vote of confidence.

2021 Holiday Card Series #8

Hello friends! Welcome to Day 8 of my 2021 Holiday Card Series. Today's card features the adorable gnomes from Hello Bluebird's Gnome for the Holidays. I just love these guys! I already can't wait to use them again. I colored them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I took the Summer Woods Scene and die cut it out of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock and added some Distress Oxide Inks to give it some color. I used Hickory Smoke for the snow and Evergreen Bough for the treetops. And I cut the trees out of Narwhal Cardstock. I adhered this to a Dolphin slimline card base and added my images, plus a Guava frame for a fun pop of color. And I finished up with a Nesting Circle sentiment moon and a bit of Stardust Stickles.

3 Holiday Cards from a Class

Hey friends! Tonight I wanted to take a quick break from my 2021 Holiday Card Series to share three cards I made from a class I've been taking. I signed up for Sandy Allnock's Winter Wonderland Copic mini course at art-classes.com and created these backgrounds from the first three lessons. They're certainly not perfect, since they were only my first try, but I thought they were too pretty not to turn into cards. I combined them all with Hello Bluebird images, this first one using one of my favorite sets, My Snowman.

This next one showcases another of my favorite sets, Feed the Birds. The girls in this set are just darling, and who can resist those sweet birds? I also tried adding some details, like the pattern on her jacket, or on the scarves in the first photo.

This last one seemed like the perfect setting for the critters from Snow Day. There won't be any videos for these cards because they aren't my techniques to teach, but if you'd like to create backgrounds like these for yourself, I do highly recommend the class! It's very affordable and fun!

I really hope you enjoyed these cards! I'll be back with a new Holiday Card Series video tomorrow!

This one is full of adorable woodland critters gliding across the ice! I colored them with Copic markers and added details to their outfits with a White Gelly Roll Pen. Then I trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I die cut the Slimline Skating Pond out of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock and colored it in with Distress Oxide Inks, including Speckled Egg for the ice and snow, with Stormy Sky and Chipped Sapphire for the sky, and Lucky CloverPine Needles, and Gathered Twigs for the trees. 2021 Holiday Card Series #5

Hey friends! Welcome to Day 5 of my 2021 Holiday Card Series! Today I'm sharing a card I made for the recent Hello Bluebird New Release using a bunch of the brand-new products. The star of the show, is the adorable taxi and critters from City Sidewalks. I colored them in with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I die cut one of the Nesting Half Circles from Lawn Fawn Rainforest Cardstock and blended on Distress Oxide Inks in Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. I added a splatter of Gansai Tambi Starry Colors and a snowy road with the Slimline Hill and Dale.

I adhered the half circle on its side on a MFT Sno Cone card base and tucked the Big Snowflake under the top left to fill in that corner. Then I adhered all my images with liquid glue.

For the sentiment, I white heat embossed the word Christmas, and then die cut the rest using the Sending Cheer Word die from some Lawn Fawn Chili Pepper Cardstock. I glued those down at the bottom of the scene and then added some White Gel Pen details and a bit of Stardust Stickles.

Hey friends, welcome to another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This one is for all you big, bold sentiment lovers, because we're making the sentiment the star! My card features the cute Merry Mice stamp set, which I colored with Copic markers in a palette of red, pink, silver, and brown, and trimmed out with the matching dies.

The focal panel is made of a piece of Let It Shine 6x6 patterned paper for the wallpaper, Light Brown Woodgrain Cardstock for the floor, plus a white strip for a baseboard, trimmed out with the Small Stitched Circle Stackables. Then I took the Peppermint Stripes Backdrop, die cut it out of white cardstock, adhered it to a Ballet Slippers card base, and filled in the thin stripes with Chili Pepper

Then I popped the focal panel up with foam tape and adhered my images. For the sentiment, I die cut MICE with Finley's ABCs out of more Chili Pepper cardstock, and stamped the rest of the sentiment on Narwhal cardstock with Hippo Ink. I trimmed that out with an Everyday Sentiment Banner and finished off the card with some Stardust Stickles.
