Fluttering By - Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #49

Hey friends! Welcome to Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #49: Case Yourself! So fun! So often we never even look back at the cards we've made in the past, but this is a great way to not only remember those projects, but use them as new inspiration.

The card that I decided to Case was one I made for my 2017 Valentine Card Series using Octopi My Heart. That sweet octopus and his seahorse friend are so cute! I wanted to keep the layout the same, but decided to go with a springtime theme featuring the new set Butterfly KissesI stamped out the bunny and butterflies and colored them with Copics, then trimmed them out with the matching dies

For the background, I took a blue piece of Spiffy Speckles patterned paper and a green piece of Really Rainbow Scallops trimmed down with the Stitched Circle Stackables, and layered that on top of a Fancy Scalloped Circle Stackable. I added my images with liquid glue.

I layered the rest of my Spring Fling patterned papers onto a Ballet Slippers card base and added two Stitched Scalloped Borders on the sides of my floral print. I popped my focal panel up with foam tape and added in a greeting with an Everyday Sentiments Banner. To finish off the card, I did some fun stamping on the inside with Bubblegum ink.

And now it's time to head over to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog and check out the other amazing design team creations as they Case their former cards. Hopefully it'll inspire you to find a card of your own that you love that will inspire you anew. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - March

Hey friends! Welcome to the March edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! This month I was really feeling the springtime vibes and decided to showcase the new Cute Critters!

There's also an adorable cat and dog in this set, so there's a ton of versatility, but with Easter approaching, I decided to make bunny my star. I stamped out her and her friends with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink, colored them in with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my background, I used my Sno Cone card base as my sky, and trimmed down a piece of Sour Apple with the Grassy Hills Die-namics. To give my bird a place to perch and hang her house, I used the new Tree Branch die on some Kraft cardstock, with Sour Apple for the leaves. I finished it off with a Grout Gray A2 Rectangle Frames die-cut, which I stacked for a little extra dimension.

Baked with Love - Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #48

Hello friends! Welcome to Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #48! Boy, do we have a fun challenge for you this round. We're creating cards based on our favorite book, movie or song. I chose my favorite book, The School of Essential Ingredients by Erica Bauermeister. It's a wonderful story about a cooking school instructor and several of her students.

After stamping out my images from Baked with Love, the first thing I did was choose my patterned paper. I had spotted the kitchen-themed print in the Our House 6x6 by Carta Bella, and I knew it would be the perfect backdrop for my images. I colored them all to match and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my focal panel, I trimmed down the pink and red polkadot patterned paper with the Large Cross Stitched Square Stackables and adhered all my images centered around the cupcake on the stand. To give them a place to stand, I added my greeting on an Everyday Sentiments Banner

I adhered the rest of my papers to my Ballet Slippers card base and popped the focal panel up with foam tape. As I finishing touch, I added just a bit of Crystal Stickles to the flour, salt, and frosting.
