Happy Mother's Day!
I know you're all very busy eating breakfast in bed
and being completely pampered, right? ;o)
I hope so!
So I'll keep this short.
I wanted to share the gift I made for my step-mom.
I've been obsessively watching mixed-media on canvas
videos on YouTube for a few weeks now,
and finally decided to take the plunge and try it myself.
Click on the photo to see all the details.
There's lots!
For this project I used a 10''x10'' deep-edge canvas
and added layers of book paper, acrylic paint, stamps in StazOn ink,
Faber Castel markers, and black gel pen.
I had each member of my family finger paint a blossom
which I then turned into a flower.
Then we each thought of at least one word to describe
my step-mother, and wrote those on the front,
and along all four edges of the canvas.
I really hope she loves it!
And I hope each of you have a wonderful Mother's Day!
Thanks for stopping by.
Christie, it's gorgeous! I hope that she appreciated your work. It's one of those things I personally would love, but maybe not everyone would really appreciate it.
