Lawnscaping Challenge #63

Hello there! Welcome to Lawnscaping Challenge #63!

This round we are being sponsored by the wonderful Simon Says Stamp,
who have generously donated a $25 gift certificate to our winner.
Thanks, Simon!

Simon Says Stamp

I have to confess, one layer cards are super challenging for me,
but I managed to come up with a sweet little scene that I'm proud of.

Happily Ever After and colored it with my Spectrum Noirs.

But in the interest of full disclosure, I have to admit
that this card didn't stay one layer for long.
I was on my way to my cousin's wedding and the card just seemed
to simple for such a special occasion.

So I cut it apart and turned it into this:

Which version do you prefer?

Thanks so much for stopping by,
and don't forget to check out the other amazing creations
from the DT girls at the Lawnscaping blog.

I hope you'll play along!

  1. Both versions are sweet, but actually prefer your second one, I like the extra detail.

  2. Hah, it's so hard for us to keep things one-layer, isn't it?? I love your sweet card (both versions!)!

  3. OMG! First of all I had to rush over to your blog and tell you how much I am in love with your card!! The bells and the birds is just such a sweet scene! And then when I saw that it 'didn't stay one layer for long' I laughed so hard!! Ha ha ha! I LOVE that! And both versions are beautiful! The one layer is stunning alone but the 2nd version is awesome with the blue and red added! Either way, you've created masterpieces!
