With All my Love, Soufflé

Happy Monday, everyone!

Are you getting back into the swing of the new school year?

Hard to believe that summer is already over.

I had my last picnic of the summer on Saturday

with my writers group -- always love spending time with

those amazing, insightful, wonderful people!

One of my friends there actually ordered a batch of 20 cards

from me, which was awesome!

Here's one that I made for her:

I used the Soufflé the Duck stamp from Popcorn The Bear "Someone Special"

and a sentiment from Party Paws "Flowers From Bamboo".

I colored it in with Spectrum Noirs

BT2, OR1, CT4, CT2, DG3, CG1, and CG2

on Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock.

I think it's sweet!

I hope you do too. :)

Have a great day!

Bamboo ... Just for you

Happy Friday, everyone!

Are you excited? I know I am!

Yesterday was my kids first day back to school and today is my day off,

and the first chunk of time I have had ALL BY MYSELF since

school let out at the beginning of last June!

I am super stoked.

I am going to get an extra large mocha and read a book,

wander through the local craft stores,

and just enjoy those couple hours all by my lonesome.

I mean, I love my kids, but a Mama needs ME time too, you know?

Keeps her sane! ;)

Anyway, before I head out I wanted to share this card with you:

I used an adorable stamp called Party Paws "Bamboo"

from Crafter's Companion and colored him with my Spectrum Noirs

BG1, BG2, BG4, BG6, BG8, BT2, BT4, CT2, CT4,

BP2, BP6, CG1, CG2, and PP1

on Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock

My sentiment is from Angelica & Friends "Grace".

I hope you like it!

Enjoy your day and have a great weekend!

Bird and Berries

Hey all!

Today I'm here with another new release from Crafter's Companion.

The fabulous Sheena Douglass has come out with a line that I know

is going to excite a lot of you -- called A Little Bit Magical.

This range has four sets with lots of fun images that give a nod toward

Merlin, Harry Potter, and all things medieval and magical.

And it's got some nature images as well, like this bird from the set "Honesty."

I colored him in with my Spectrum Noir markers in colors:

 BT1, BT2, BT4, CT1, CT2, CT3, CT4, CR8, CR11, DR7, BG2, BG4, and BG6

on Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock.

I hope you like it!

Head on over to the Crafter's Companion store to check out the whole line!

Lawnscaping Challenge #64

Good Monday Morning!

Welcome to Lawnscaping Challenge #64!

Special thanks to the wonderful folks at Simon Says Stamp

for sponsoring us with a $25 gift card to our winner.

Here's my card:

I distressed my background using Evergreen Bough, Forest Moss, Peeled Paint,

and Vintage Photo Distress Inks, and then black heat embossed the little foxes

from Lawn Fawn's new Into The Woods stamp set and colored them in with

Wild Honey and Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink and a water brush.

Added a little twine and a wooden button and called it a day. :)

I hope you like it!

Please head over to the Lawnscaping Challenge blog

and check out the other amazing DT samples.

And don't forget to play along!

Have a great day!

Thinking of You

Hey there, ladies!

Popping in with another card today.

This one is using a sentiment from the set

 Stamp-It Australia "Dreamy Daisies"

by Crafter's Companion.

I distressed a tag, and used papers from the Carte Bella "So Noted" 6x6.

I love patterns like this that do most of the work for you!

May Arts ribbon, a little twine and a button and my card was complete!

Hope you like it!

Have a great day!

Let's Catch Up and a winner

Have you played along with the Crafter's Companion Monthly Challenge?

If not, August might be the month to join in!

This month our challenge is all about critters,

and who doesn't love some sweet, adorable critters?

Here's my card:

I used the Mulberry Wood "Tea For Two" stamp set.

Isn't it darling? I just love that kitty and mouse

and the beautiful table set for tea time.

I colored it with my Spectrum Noir pens in the following colors:

BG1, BG2, BG4, BT1, BT2, BT4, EB2, PP3,

CT1, CT2, CR8, CR11, DR7, IG1, IG2, TB1

on CC Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock.

I hope you'll head over and play along!

By the way, the winner of my Barkley stamp set giveaway was

TERESA GODINES.

I've contacted her via email already.

Congratulations, Teresa!

Have a great day!

Lawnscaping Challenge #63

Hello there! Welcome to Lawnscaping Challenge #63!

This round we are being sponsored by the wonderful Simon Says Stamp,

who have generously donated a $25 gift certificate to our winner.

Thanks, Simon!

I have to confess, one layer cards are super challenging for me,

but I managed to come up with a sweet little scene that I'm proud of.

I used Lawn Fawn's Home Sweet Home and

Happily Ever After and colored it with my Spectrum Noirs.

But in the interest of full disclosure, I have to admit

that this card didn't stay one layer for long.

I was on my way to my cousin's wedding and the card just seemed

to simple for such a special occasion.

So I cut it apart and turned it into this:

Which version do you prefer?

Thanks so much for stopping by,

and don't forget to check out the other amazing creations

from the DT girls at the Lawnscaping blog.

I hope you'll play along!
