Six to a Dozen (or More) Ways to Color Dogs

Hey friends, today I've got another critter coloring video. Since I showed you six to a dozen (or more) ways to color cats last time, I thought it was only fair that I did dogs next. It was a little bit trickier to figure out how to do this video, since cats pretty much come in the same shape and size, but dogs definitely do not. But the one time in a dog's life when they do look more similar is when they are puppies, so I've got six to a dozen examples of how you can color your dogs, which ultimately you can mix and match with different colors and patterns to create endless possibilities. I'm illustrating these using a dog from the Lawn Fawn Furry and Bright stamp set, stamped in Jet Black Ink on Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth White Cardstock. I really hope that you find this video helpful for your own card making designs! You can check it out HERE on my YouTube channel.

Hey friends, today I'm so excited to be featured over on the Lawn Fawn blog and YouTube channel with a card combining two brand-new stamp sets, Treat Cart and Whoosh, Kites. Those adorable mice looked so cute flying their kites, but I thought it might be nice to let them have some sweet treats after their day in the sun! I'll have all other supplies and details in my post over there, so I hope you'll check that out. And if you'd like to see how the card came together, please watch the video tutorial. Birthday Fishes Card

Hey friends, today I've got another card featuring mermaids, using the Hello Bluebird Sea Friends and Sea Life stamp sets. I had this background sitting in a drawer for a couple years and I decided that it was finally time to use it, so I based the entire card design around that. I stamped the images in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them down with the matching dies.

The background is from a Sandy Allnock Class called Underwater Scenes. I'm so embarrassed to say that I got so frustrated trying to get this lesson just right that I never finished the class. I stuck this attempt in a drawer and it's sat there for the last three years. But over time I've come to appreciate it and decided that it was good enough to use on a card and it's even made me want to go back and finish the other lessons in this mini course.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, you can watch the video tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel. I really hope that you enjoy it! And maybe it will inspire you to take one of Sandy's amazing classes as well. Just give yourself a little more grace than I initially did. Have a wonderful day!

Dad, I Look Up to You Card - Lawn Fawnatics #175

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this round is all about Summertime Fun! I decided to ink up the brand new Whoosh, Kites stamp set and create a fun, outdoor scene. I stamped the images with Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I used the Cloudy Stencil to create a sky on Bristol Cardstock with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink. Then I die cut the Meadow Backdrop: Portrait out of more Bristol, and blended on Twisted CitronMowed Lawn, and Lucky Clover. I stamped a sentiment from Dad + Me at the bottom, popped it up with foam tape, and added my images to complete the card.

I'm giving this card to my dad for Father's Day so I really hope he enjoys it, and that you enjoyed it too! If you'd like to see how it came together, you can find the video tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. Thanks so much for watching!

Let's Shell-abrate Square Card

Hey friends, today I've got a summery square card to share using the Hello Bluebird Sea Friends stamp set. I love these beautiful mermaids and I've been so excited to use them! I combined this set with additional images from Sea Life and Sea Sentiments. I colored them all with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I blended Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of Bristol Smooth Cardstock. I used Antique LinenGathered Twigs, and Vintage Photo for the sand, and Speckled EggSalvaged Patina, and Peacock Feathers for the sea. To fill in the background a bit, I stamped some fish silhouettes with Uncharted Mariner and a sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black.

Then I took the Ocean Overlay, die cut it from white cardstock, and layered it over top. I added my images and finshed off the card with some Stardust Stickles. If you'd like to see how the card came together, you can check it out HERE on my YouTube channel. Thanks so much for watching! I hope you enjoy it!

Million Little Wishes Card

Hey friends, today I'm bringing you a set that's an oldie but a goodie! I have always loved Mama Elephant's Dandelion Wishes. It's such a darling set and lately I've just been itching to use it. So that's just what I did! I colored the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with their matching dies.

For the background I used the Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil and blended some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink onto Bristol Cardstock. Then I added a smudge of grass at the bottom with Mowed Lawn. I layered some patterned paper from the Carta Bella Here, There, and Everywhere 6x6 and die cut a window using the Sunny Studio Stitched Semi-Circles. I popped that up with foam tape, adhered my images, and finished with a little Stardust Stickles.

Come check out how the card came together from start to finish! You can find the video tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel. I really hope you enjoy it! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Yappy Birthday Banner Card - Lawn Fawnatics #174

Hey friends, welcome back to another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This time we are featuring stencils. I was super excited to ink up the new Bunting Background Stencils so I based my entire card idea around that. I decided to go with a doggy-theme, since my last card was a cat theme. Gotta show equal love, you know? I stamped out images from Yappy Birthday and the Yappy Birthday Add-on, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the challenge, I decided to use not just one, not just two, but three stencils! I started with the Cloudy Stencil and some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink for the sky. Next I brought in the Slimline Grassy Stencil and Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the ground. Then it was time for the two part Bunting Background Stencils. I brought in a rainbow of colors for the pennants, including Candied AppleMustard SeedTwisted CitronPeacock FeathersBlueprint Sketch, and Wilted Violet and I used Antique Linen for the strings.

I trimmed that panel down with the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables and glued it to a thin mat of Black Licorice Cardstock. Then cut down one of the prints from the Pint Sized Patterns Summertime 6x6 to fit the front of my A2 standard sized card and added the focal panel over top. I stamped part of my sentiment and cut out the rest using Finley's ABCs and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

I really hope you enjoy the video tutorial, taking you step by step through the creation of this card! You can find it HERE on my YouTube channel. If you do like it, please be sure to hit the thumb's up button or leave me a comment or both! And don't forget to stop by the Lawn Fawnatics blog to see what the rest of the design team created to inspire you with stencils! We hope you'll play along!
