The Right Direction Card - Lawn Fawnatics #84

Welcome back, friends, for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This time we're all about back to school. Since my kids are too old for teacher cards, I decided to spin this one for anyone who is a mentor or guiding light in your life. The Car Critters were perfect for that. I paired them with Village Heroes and Butterfly Kisses for the tufts of grass and the clouds, which I turned into bushes. I stamped in Jet Black Ink, colored with Copics, and trimmed out with the matching dies.

I wanted to create a turn off junction to suit the scale of my vehicles, so I started by cutting out the Road Border from Black Licorice Cardstock. Then I drew out the road that is coming toward the viewer by hand, and trimmed it out with Teflon Scissors. I also trimmed out a Stitched Hillside Border from Noble Fir Cardstock.

I mounted the green hillside to a Mermaid card base and adhered my roads over top. I White Heat Embossed a sentiment, and adhered my images with liquid glue. Then as a finishing touch, I stamped the little Eeeooooo sentiment at the top for some extra whimsy. I also finished off the inside of the card in Peacock Ink, which you can check out in the video.

And now it's time to head over to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog and check out all the other creations the design team has come up with to inspire you. We hope you'll play along. We can't wait to see what you create!
