Fangtastic Friend Card - Lawn Fawnatics #183

Hey friends, it's time for a new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this time we're going Monochromatic! A monochromatic card is one that only uses one color tone, and since I've done a few of these in the past now, I wanted to go with a color I haven't tried before and ended up deciding on PURPLE! I think purple goes so well with Halloween cards, so I pulled out my Lawn Fawn Fangtastic Friends stamp set.

I love these cute little bats, and I haven't had a chance to use them in a while, so I thought that this challenge would be the perfect opportunity! I colored them with Copic markers, using the purples mixed with a little bit of gray to give it that extra spooky feel. Then I trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I used the Nighttime Sky Stencils to mask off the moon on a piece of Bristol Cardstock, then blended on Distress Oxide Inks in Shaded LilacVillainous Potion, and  Black Soot. I stamped a sentiment from Spooktacular in the moon, then adhered the panel to a Black Licorice card base, and popped my images up with foam tape.

Six Ways to Color Bats

Hey friends, today I'm bringing you another critter coloring video, and since it's October, I thought it would be the perfect time to do bats! I'm showing you six was to color bats using an image from the Lawn Fawn Fangtastic Friends stamp set, but of course you can use these combos for any bat images you might have. I've stamped the images in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink on Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth White Cardstock and colored them with Copic markers, but again, you can modify these combos to any markers you use by just choosing similar shades. I really hope you enjoy it! Click the thumbnail below to watch or you can find the video tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. Thanks so much for watching!

To Paris, with Love Card - Lawn Fawnatics #182

Hey friends, I'm back from my incredible vacation just in time for the perfect Lawn Fawnatics Challenge: Sightseeing! We're creating projects inspired by a place we want to visit. When I filmed the making of this card, I was just days away from hopping on a plane for a trip to one of my dream destinations: Paris! Now that I'm back home drafting this post, I can absolutely say that it was one of the most stunning and lovely cities I've ever had the privilege to experience.

To recreate this special vacation I took with my hubby, I combined so many Lawn Fawn stamp sets, including Bicycle Built for YouApple-solutely AwesomeTreat Cart Add-on: CoffeeLittle Woodland LibraryFly HighJust Add GlitterTea-rrific DayWild Wolves, and the Scent with Love Add-on. I colored all of the images with Copic markers in shades of red, white, and blue to match the French flag. I even hand-drew (not very well) a tiny Eiffel Tower!

For the background, I trimmed down some Bristol with the Small Stitched Rounded Rectangle Stackables and blended on some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink and the Cloudy Stencil for the sky, and Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn with the Slimline Grassy Stencil for the ground. On the Blue Jay card base, I added a strip of white patterned paper with a subtle gray star pattern from the Let It Shine: Starry Skies 6x6 with another strip of Barn Red Cardstock over the center. Then I popped the focal panel up with foam tape and adhered my images.

Sending Squeezes Card

Hey friends, today I've got a cutie of a card to share using the sweet Sending Squeezes stamp set by Jenoblade for MFT. This pile of critters just makes me want to grab the nearest person and give them a big, squishy hug! I stamped the image with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink on Spectrum Noir Premium White Cardstock, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching die.

For the focal panel, I trimmed out some patterned paper from the Simple Stories Acorn Lane pad with the MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX and added a bit of ink splatter, then layered up even more patterned paper onto the card base. I popped the focal panel up with foam tape and white heat embossed a sentiment onto a Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banner.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click the video thumbnail below, or you can also find the tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope you enjoy it. Sending you all big, crafty hugs! Have a wonderful day!

Welcome Little One Card

Hey friends, today I've got a sweet baby card to share with you. My husband's work friends recently had their first child, a baby girl, and I needed a card to go along with the gift. Since the gift was giraffe themed, I wanted to make a card to match and I thought of this adorable set from Reverse Confetti called You Lift Me Up. Unfortunately, Reverse Confetti is no longer in business, but I always adored this stamp set and thought it would be perfect. I stamped the images in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink on Spectrum Noir Premium White Cardstock, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I cut down some Bristol Cardstock with the Sunny Studio Stitched Semi-Circle dies. Then I blended on some Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink and stamped a sentiment from Mama Elephant Essential Tag Sayings. For the ground, I used patterned paper from the Simple Stories Boho Baby 6x8 pad, trimmed down with the Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside Borders. I layered up several more patterns on the card base, including a Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Border and popped the focal panel up with foam tape. To finish it off, I added a few tiny hearts and some Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click the video thumbnail below, or you can also find the tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope you enjoy it! And welcome to the world, baby Elayna!

You've Got Mail Card

Hey friends, today I've got a fun happy mail card combining the adorable You've Got Mail stamp set with Jump for Joy. I thought it would be so cute to have this stuffed mailbox overflowing into a humongous pile of mail! I did a little altering to one of the images, as the critter stack actually has a bear beneath the bunny, but since I needed it to be shorter, I just selectively stamped from the bunny up. I colored them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I cut a piece of Bristol down with the postage edge die from the Peek a Frames die set. Then I did a watercolor background with Tumbled GlassStormy Sky, and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Inks. I stamped an Essential Tag Sayings sentiment in the top left corner and popped the focal panel up with foam tape over a sheet of Pebbles Sunny Blooms 6x8 paper. Then I adhered my images and finished with a sprinkle of gold sequins.

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this round it's Awesome Autumn! For me Fall is the season of all things cozy -- warm, delicious drinks, good books, and gathering together with friends. So I decided to make a Fall Book Club card! I combined so many stamp sets on this one, including Little Woodland LibraryLittle Woodland Library Add-onTreat CartTreat Cart Add-on: CoffeeTea-rrific Day, and Porcu-pine for You.

I stamped the images in Jet Black Ink, colored them with my Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies. For the focal panel, I cut down a piece of Bristol with the largest of the Small Stitched Rounded Rectangles and created a background using the Cloudy Stencil and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink for the sky, and the Slimline Grassy Stencil and Bundled Sage and Forest Moss Distress Oxide Ink for the ground.

Then I chose two prints from the Falling Leaves 6x6 pad to layer on my Speckled Eggshell card base. I popped up the focal panel over top with foam tape and adhered my images with a mix of foam tape and liquid glue. To finish things off, I added a little bit of Stardust Stickles for some sparkle and shine.

Go Bananas Card

Hey friends, today I've got a wild card to share using the adorable Mama Elephant Everyday Monkeys stamps, combined with a few of the accessory images from The Wild Roar. I love these cheeky little monkeys so much! Aren't they just the cutest? I colored them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the focal panel, I die cut some Bristol Cardstock with the Mama Elephant B2B Arches and did a simple watercolor background with Distress Oxide Inks. I used Speckled Egg for the sky, Bundled Sage for the grass, and Gathered Twigs for the earth. I popped this up over some Lawn Fawn Fruit Salad banana themed patterned paper, and adhered my images with liquid glue. I finished off the card with a few Clear Sequins and some Stardust Stickles.

Plan a Card with Me: Transitioning Between Summer and Fall

Hey friends, today I am bringing you my September Plan a Card with Me Video. This month I was struggling with the transition between Summer and Fall. I wasn't really feeling the full immersion into Autumn content, but Summer is clearly over. So what kind of cards do you make in the meantime? I decided to opt with a warm-weather any occasion card featuring the adorable Mama Elephant Everyday Monkeys stamp set and pair that up with some banana patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Fruit Salad 6x6 pad. So I'll walk you through how I came up with this idea, figuring out the layout, supplies, etc, and then on Friday I'll be back to complete the card. I really hope you enjoy this brainstorming session! Click below to watch or find it HERE on my YouTube channel. Thanks for watching!

G'Day Mate Card

Hey friends, or should I say G'day? Today I've got a fun card to share with you using the MFT JB Kiwi Critters stamp set. I love anything to do with Australia. It's definitely a bucket list destination that I really hope to get to visit some day. But in the meantime, I hope to take us all there today with this card! I colored these sweet little critters wit Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the focal panel, I trimmed down a piece of Bristol Cardstock with the A2 Stitched Rectangles Set 2 and did a simple watercolor background with Distress Oxide Inks. For the golden hour sky, I used Scattered Straw, and for the ground I mixed together Rustic Wilderness and Cracked Pistachio. Then I splattered on Vintage Photo.

I popped that up with foam tape over some patterned paper and adhered my images with liquid glue. I had so much fun creating this one and I hope you enjoyed it too! If you'd like to see how the card came together, click below to watch the video tutorial, or you can also find it HERE on my YouTube channel. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a lovely day!

Literally the Best Card - Lawn Fawnatics #180

Hey friends, today I have a sweet card to share for our newest Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. This round our theme is Woodland Wonder, which is right up my alley because woodland critters are my favorite! For this one, I absolutely had to use the brand new Little Woodland Library stamps, which is definitely my new favorite stamp set of all time! I'm such a lover of reading and this set could not be better tailored to me.

I stamped all the images in Jet Black Ink and colored them with Copic markers to match the patterned paper from the new Falling Leaves 6x6 pad. Then I trimmed them out with their matching dies. I also stamped, colored, and cut out a little butterfly from Butterfly Kisses to round out my scene.

For the focal panel, I cut down a piece of Bristol Cardstock with the Large Stitched Rounded Rectangle Stackables and blended on a background. I used the Cloudy Stencil and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink for the sky, and the Slimline Grassy Stencil and Bundled Sage Distress Oxide Ink for the ground. I layered this over the patterned paper, which I trimmed down with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables, and adhered my images, finishing with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click below or you can also find the video tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel. I really hope that you enjoy it! And don't forget to check out the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog to see what the rest of the design team has created to inspire you, and to link up your own projects to play along. We can't wait to see what you make! Have a wonderful day!
