2024 Holiday Card Series #15

Hey friends, today I've got a fun, Northern lights card for Day 15 of my 2024 Holiday Card Series featuring some super cute penguins. I used Lawn Fawn's Penguin PartySnow CoolYeti or Not, and Beary Happy Holidays to create this scene. I stamped all the images in Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I blended Distress Oxide Inks onto Bristol Cardstock, using Picked RaspberryTwisted Citron, and Peacock Feathers for the Aurora Borealis, and Black Soot for the night sky. I added a snow drift using the Stitched Hillside Borders and stamped a sentiment from Merry Messages in Peacock Ink. And of course, I added a bit of sparkle with Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click the video thumbnail below, or you can find the tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope that you enjoy it! Thanks so much for watching. I really appreciate your support! Have a lovely Christmas season!

2024 Holiday Card Series #14

Hey friends, today I'm bringing you an extra sweet card for Day 14 of my 2024 Holiday Card Series. This one uses the amazing gingerbread house from Mama Elephant's Little Agenda Sweets along with the cuties from Little Gingerbread Agenda. And I am so happy with how this one turned out! I colored everything with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the focal panel, I trimmed down a piece of Bristol Cardstock with the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables. Then I blended on a little Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink and stamped a few snowflakes from Snow Much Fun with Lawn Fawn Merman Ink. I also stamped my sentiment in the top right corner and layered this over some patterned paper to tie in the color palette. And of course, finished with some Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click the video thumbnail below, or you can also find the tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope that you enjoy it! This card reminds me that I really need to start my Christmas baking ASAP! Eek! Christmas is coming so dang fast. I can't believe it's nearly here. I'm wishing you all the most festive of holiday seasons!

2024 Holiday Card Series #13

Hey friends, today I've got a cool cat of a card for Day 13 of my 2024 Holiday Card Series! This card features the Newton's Nook Newton's Snowman stamp set. Isn't it so much fun? I don't have the dies for this image, so I stamped it directly onto my focal panel and colored the entire thing with Copic markers, including the sky background. Then I trimmed the panel down with the second largest of the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rounded Rectangle Stackables.

I wanted to bring in some patterned paper for this card, so I pulled three different designs from the Simple Stories Santa's Village and layered them on a Cilantro card base. I stamped a sentiment in JalepeƱo Ink at the top right corner of the focal panel, and popped that up over top with some foam tape, then finished up with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, you can click the video thumbnail below, or find the tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope that you enjoy it! Thank you so much for watching! I'm so honored to have your support. Happy Holidays!

2024 Holiday Card Series #12 - Lawn Fawnatics #186

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this one is extra sweet! It's Coffee, Tea, and Treats! This is another one of my favorites because there's just so many directions you can take it in. But for this card, I wanted to have a scene where mama and baby bear get all their holiday baking done in one day. I pulled in images from Lawn Fawn's Den Sweet DenA Creature Was StirringHoliday HelpersChristmas DreamsTreat Cart Add-on: CoffeeS'more the Merrier, Unicorn PicnicGarden Before 'n Afters, and Purrfectly Wicked.

I colored the images with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I cut down some 6x6 patterned paper from Let It Shine: Starry Skies and a piece of Light Brown Woodgrain Cardstock with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and glued them to a Kraft card base. I added a white strip of cardstock for my baseboard and stamped a sentiment at the top right corner in Jet Black and Lobster Ink.

Then it was time to stage the scene! I adhered all my images with a mix of Scotch 3M Foam Tape and liquid glue. I added a bookshelf and a stool to give the scene a cozy, cottage feel and sprinkled my goodies and ingredients around the bears. I stamped a sentiment on the inside of the card with Walnut Ink and finished up with a little Stardust Stickles for some sparkle and shine.

This card is also Day 12 of my 2024 Holiday Card Series, so if you'd like to see how it came together, click the video thumbnail below, or you can find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. 2024 Holiday Card Series #11

Hey friends, happy Black Friday! I hope all of my friends here in the U.S. had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday. Now that there are no more holidays left before Christmas, I am really feeling the pressure to get our Christmas cards done! So today I'm bringing you Day 11 of my Holiday Card Series using an oldie but a goodie stamp set, Winter Woodland by Pretty Pink Posh. I colored the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Next I created my sky, blending Tumbled GlassCracked PistachioEvergreen BoughBroken ChinaUncharted Mariner, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of Bristol Cardstock in a bit of a streaky pattern. Then I trimmed down the panel with the largest of the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and added two Stitched Hillside Border snowdrifts. I added a sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh Holiday Greetings, and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click the video thumbnail below, or you can find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope you enjoy it! And I so appreciate you being here. Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a lovely holiday season!

2024 Holiday Card Series #10

Hey friends, today I'm so happy to bring you Day 10 of my 2024 Holiday Card Series! Similar to Day 6, this card also features Mama Elephant's The Nutcracker and Cozy Christmas. That's because these two cards were originally planned to be filmed in one video! But I quickly realized that the coloring of all the wonderful details was going to take too long, so I split them up. In that way, today's video is a little bit of a Part 2, though certainly they can be viewed individually and separate from the other.

So I colored the images with Copics and trimmed them out with their matching dies. Then I brought in layers of Mintay patterned papers and Vellum for my background, added a Scripty Xmas sentiment, and popped the focal panel up with foam tape. I adhered my images and finished with a sprinkle of clear sequins and some Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this one came together, click the video thumbnail below, or you can find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. And stay tuned to the end of the video to see a side-by-side comparison of both cards! I think they each turned out unique, while sharing a few similarities. I hope you like them both! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Lawn Fawnatics #185 - 2024 Holiday Card Series #185

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, and this is one of my favorites of the entire year, Holiday Critters! There is just something so festive about animals celebrating the season. For this card, I started out with the Simply Celebrate Santa stamp set, and added in images from Ho-Ho-Holidays and Holiday Helpers. I colored the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with their matching dies.

For the background, I started by blending Distress Oxide Inks directly onto my Blue Jay card base. I used Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot to create a night sky, and splattered some white acrylic paint to create stars. Then I trimmed part of my sentiment out of Barn Red and Noble Fir Cardstock with Finley's ABCs. The rest, I white heat embossed onto Narwhal Cardstock.

For the house, I used Sage Leaf Cardstock, and for the roof, alternating rows of Narwhal and Storm Cloud. I added snowdrifts using the Stitched Simple Wavy Borders, and a chimney left over from a previous Lawn Fawn project using the brick wall stencil. I put it all together and finished the card with a bit of sparkle from Stardust Stickles.

This card is also Day 7 of my 2024 Holiday Card Series! So if you'd like to see how it came together, click the thumbnail below, or you can also find the video tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope you enjoy it! 2024 Holiday Card Series #6

Hey friends, it's time for Day 6 of my 2024 Holiday Card Series and I had so much fun with this one. I love the story of The Nutcracker, so I was thrilled when Mama Elephant recently came out with this stamp set! I've been super excited to bring this one to life, and today was the day! I combined it with images from Busy Elves and Cozy Christmas, stamped them all in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Next I pulled out some patterned papers from the Mintay Merry & Joy Add-on paper pad. I used one print for the focal panel, which I trimmed down with one of the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and stamped a sentiment on the middle right using Scripty Xmas. The other two prints I layered on my card base, and added a sheet of Vellum over top for a soft, filtered effect. Then I popped up the focal panel with foam tape, adhered my images, and finished with a sprinkling of Clear Sequins and some Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click the thumbnail below, or you can also find the video tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. And if you've missed any of the previous days in this year's Holiday Card Series, you can access the entire playlist using the link above. Thanks so much for watching! I really hope you enjoy it. Fawny Holiday Week - 2024 Holiday Card Series #5

It's Fawny Holiday Week over on the Lawn Fawn blog and YouTube channel! It's going to be a super fun week FULL of holiday inspiration surrounding all things Lawn Fawn. Each day there will be a new video and a GIVEAWAY too! So make sure you check back often for your chance to win some goodies and to simply be inspired.

It's my honor and privilege to get to help kick off Day 1 with the first video! I just adore polar bears, so I wanted to make a fun Christmas card featuring the cubs from Snow Much Fun and Den Sweet Den combined with Treat Cart. I also added in accessory images to complete the scene from Treat Cart Add-on: CoffeeHoliday Helpers, and A Creature Was Stirring. I colored them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with their matching dies.

Then I created a focal panel by cutting down some Candy Cane Lane 6x6 patterned paper for my sky, and adding two Stitched Hillside Borders snowdrifts. I stamped my sentiment on the bottom one in Merman Ink. Then I popped that up with foam tape over two layered prints of patterned paper for a fun, peppermint polar party! I added a few Clear Sequins and some Stardust Stickles to finish it off.

This card is also Day 5 of my 2024 Holiday Card Series on my own YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty, so come check it out! 2024 Holiday Card Series #4

Hey friends, today I'm excited to bring you Day 4 of my 2024 Holiday Card Series! And this one is kind of a bonus because I'm actually creating TWO cards, instead of my usual one. I could not wait to ink up my new Mama Elephant Elephant Cheer stamp set. These little guys are the cutest! I colored up four of the six and two of the trees with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with their matching dies.

These cards both feature three different prints of patterned paper from the Simple Stories Santa's Village 6x8 pad, two on the card base and one in the background serving as my wallpaper. For the floor, I used a strip of Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Cardstock, and stamped a greeting onto an Everyday Sentiment Banner. Then I popped up a Flirty Scallop Frame to encapsulate my scene and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

I also finished off the insides of these cards with the opposite sentiment and one of the two remaining elephant images. They were too adorable not to use them all! You can check out the video tutorial by clicking the thumbnail below, or find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope you enjoy it! Thanks so much for watching!

2024 Holiday Card Series #3 - Lawn Fawnatics #184

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this time we've got a pretty Holiday Inspiration photo and color palette to inspire you. For my card, I really wanted to ink up the adorable, new Cheesy Christmas. These mice are just so cute! I combined a bunch of stamp sets to pair with them, including Holiday HelpersA Creature Was StirringChristmas Dreams, and Fly High. I colored all of the images with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I cut down some Candy Cane Lane 6x6 patterned paper and Light Brown Woodgrain Cardstock with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables to be my wallpaper and floor, then added a thin strip of white cardstock for my baseboard. I glued that to a Kraft card base and adhered my images over top. Then I stamped a sentiment onto a Simple Wavy Banner and added that to the top right and trimmed off the excess. And of course, I finished things off with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

This card is Day 3 of my 2024 Holiday Card Series, so I hope you'll check out the video tutorial, either by clicking the thumbnail below or finding it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. Fangtastic Friend Card - Lawn Fawnatics #183

Hey friends, it's time for a new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this time we're going Monochromatic! A monochromatic card is one that only uses one color tone, and since I've done a few of these in the past now, I wanted to go with a color I haven't tried before and ended up deciding on PURPLE! I think purple goes so well with Halloween cards, so I pulled out my Lawn Fawn Fangtastic Friends stamp set.

I love these cute little bats, and I haven't had a chance to use them in a while, so I thought that this challenge would be the perfect opportunity! I colored them with Copic markers, using the purples mixed with a little bit of gray to give it that extra spooky feel. Then I trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I used the Nighttime Sky Stencils to mask off the moon on a piece of Bristol Cardstock, then blended on Distress Oxide Inks in Shaded LilacVillainous Potion, and  Black Soot. I stamped a sentiment from Spooktacular in the moon, then adhered the panel to a Black Licorice card base, and popped my images up with foam tape.

If you'd like to see the start to finish process of this card coming together, click the thumbnail below, or you can find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. And don't forget to check out the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog to see the rest of the design team's Monochromatic creations, and to link up your own to play along!

I'm showing you six was to color bats using an image from the Lawn Fawn Fangtastic Friends stamp set, but of course you can use these combos for any bat images you might have. I've stamped the images in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink on Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth White Cardstock and colored them with Copic markers, but again, you can modify these combos to any markers you use by just choosing similar shades. I really hope you enjoy it! Click the thumbnail below to watch or you can find the video tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. Thanks so much for watching!

To Paris, with Love Card - Lawn Fawnatics #182

Hey friends, I'm back from my incredible vacation just in time for the perfect Lawn Fawnatics Challenge: Sightseeing! We're creating projects inspired by a place we want to visit. When I filmed the making of this card, I was just days away from hopping on a plane for a trip to one of my dream destinations: Paris! Now that I'm back home drafting this post, I can absolutely say that it was one of the most stunning and lovely cities I've ever had the privilege to experience.

To recreate this special vacation I took with my hubby, I combined so many Lawn Fawn stamp sets, including Bicycle Built for YouApple-solutely AwesomeTreat Cart Add-on: CoffeeLittle Woodland LibraryFly HighJust Add GlitterTea-rrific DayWild Wolves, and the Scent with Love Add-on. I colored all of the images with Copic markers in shades of red, white, and blue to match the French flag. I even hand-drew (not very well) a tiny Eiffel Tower!

For the background, I trimmed down some Bristol with the Small Stitched Rounded Rectangle Stackables and blended on some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink and the Cloudy Stencil for the sky, and Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn with the Slimline Grassy Stencil for the ground. On the Blue Jay card base, I added a strip of white patterned paper with a subtle gray star pattern from the Let It Shine: Starry Skies 6x6 with another strip of Barn Red Cardstock over the center. Then I popped the focal panel up with foam tape and adhered my images.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click the thumbnail below or you can find the tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope that you enjoy it! And don't forget to pop over to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog to check out the rest of the design team's sightseeing inspiration! And link up your own projects to play along.
