Fall Book Club Card - Lawn Fawnatics #181

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this round it's Awesome Autumn! For me Fall is the season of all things cozy -- warm, delicious drinks, good books, and gathering together with friends. So I decided to make a Fall Book Club card! I combined so many stamp sets on this one, including Little Woodland LibraryLittle Woodland Library Add-onTreat CartTreat Cart Add-on: CoffeeTea-rrific Day, and Porcu-pine for You.

I stamped the images in Jet Black Ink, colored them with my Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies. For the focal panel, I cut down a piece of Bristol with the largest of the Small Stitched Rounded Rectangles and created a background using the Cloudy Stencil and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink for the sky, and the Slimline Grassy Stencil and Bundled Sage and Forest Moss Distress Oxide Ink for the ground.

Then I chose two prints from the Falling Leaves 6x6 pad to layer on my Speckled Eggshell card base. I popped up the focal panel over top with foam tape and adhered my images with a mix of foam tape and liquid glue. To finish things off, I added a little bit of Stardust Stickles for some sparkle and shine.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click the thumbnail below, or you can find the video tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope you enjoy it! And don't forget to pop over to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog to see what the rest of the design team has created and to link up your own Awesome Autumn projects and play along!

Go Bananas Card

Hey friends, today I've got a wild card to share using the adorable Mama Elephant Everyday Monkeys stamps, combined with a few of the accessory images from The Wild Roar. I love these cheeky little monkeys so much! Aren't they just the cutest? I colored them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the focal panel, I die cut some Bristol Cardstock with the Mama Elephant B2B Arches and did a simple watercolor background with Distress Oxide Inks. I used Speckled Egg for the sky, Bundled Sage for the grass, and Gathered Twigs for the earth. I popped this up over some Lawn Fawn Fruit Salad banana themed patterned paper, and adhered my images with liquid glue. I finished off the card with a few Clear Sequins and some Stardust Stickles.

This card is actually the Part 2 of my previous Plan a Card with Me Video where I took you through the entire brainstorming process. If you'd like to go back and watch that, click the link above. To see this card come together to completion, you can click below for the video tutorial, or find it HERE on my YouTube channel. I really hope you enjoy it! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Plan a Card with Me: Transitioning Between Summer and Fall

Hey friends, today I am bringing you my September Plan a Card with Me Video. This month I was struggling with the transition between Summer and Fall. I wasn't really feeling the full immersion into Autumn content, but Summer is clearly over. So what kind of cards do you make in the meantime? I decided to opt with a warm-weather any occasion card featuring the adorable Mama Elephant Everyday Monkeys stamp set and pair that up with some banana patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Fruit Salad 6x6 pad. So I'll walk you through how I came up with this idea, figuring out the layout, supplies, etc, and then on Friday I'll be back to complete the card. I really hope you enjoy this brainstorming session! Click below to watch or find it HERE on my YouTube channel. Thanks for watching!

G'Day Mate Card

Hey friends, or should I say G'day? Today I've got a fun card to share with you using the MFT JB Kiwi Critters stamp set. I love anything to do with Australia. It's definitely a bucket list destination that I really hope to get to visit some day. But in the meantime, I hope to take us all there today with this card! I colored these sweet little critters wit Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the focal panel, I trimmed down a piece of Bristol Cardstock with the A2 Stitched Rectangles Set 2 and did a simple watercolor background with Distress Oxide Inks. For the golden hour sky, I used Scattered Straw, and for the ground I mixed together Rustic Wilderness and Cracked Pistachio. Then I splattered on Vintage Photo.

I popped that up with foam tape over some patterned paper and adhered my images with liquid glue. I had so much fun creating this one and I hope you enjoyed it too! If you'd like to see how the card came together, click below to watch the video tutorial, or you can also find it HERE on my YouTube channel. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a lovely day!

Literally the Best Card - Lawn Fawnatics #180

Hey friends, today I have a sweet card to share for our newest Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. This round our theme is Woodland Wonder, which is right up my alley because woodland critters are my favorite! For this one, I absolutely had to use the brand new Little Woodland Library stamps, which is definitely my new favorite stamp set of all time! I'm such a lover of reading and this set could not be better tailored to me.

I stamped all the images in Jet Black Ink and colored them with Copic markers to match the patterned paper from the new Falling Leaves 6x6 pad. Then I trimmed them out with their matching dies. I also stamped, colored, and cut out a little butterfly from Butterfly Kisses to round out my scene.

For the focal panel, I cut down a piece of Bristol Cardstock with the Large Stitched Rounded Rectangle Stackables and blended on a background. I used the Cloudy Stencil and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink for the sky, and the Slimline Grassy Stencil and Bundled Sage Distress Oxide Ink for the ground. I layered this over the patterned paper, which I trimmed down with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables, and adhered my images, finishing with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click below or you can also find the video tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel. I really hope that you enjoy it! And don't forget to check out the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog to see what the rest of the design team has created to inspire you, and to link up your own projects to play along. East Coast vs. West Coast Card - Lawn Fawnatics #179

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this round our theme is There's No Place Like Home. Since my eldest son recently moved out to LA, I thought I'd create an East Coast vs. West Coast card to send to him, with a punny sentiment to make him smile. I used the How You Bean? Seashell Add-on stamp set along with a seaweed image from  You Are Sublime, colored them all with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I started with a piece of Bristol trimmed down with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables, then blended on Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink. Then I cut down another piece of Bristol with the Stitched Wave Borders and blended on Tumbled GlassSalty Ocean, and Uncharted Mariner.

I used Finley's ABCs to die cut the first part of my sentiment from Chocolate Bar Cardstock and stamped out the rest in black ink with Milo's ABCs. Then I adhered everything together on a Moonstone card base with liquid glue and finished with a little bit of Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click below, or you can find the video tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel. I really hope you enjoy it! And don't forget to stop by the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog to see what the rest of the design team has created to inspire you, and to link up your own projects to play along. Jawsome Birthday Card

Hey friends, today I'm bringing you another underwater card, this one being perfect for a boyish birthday. It combines images from Sunny Studio, including Best Fishes and Tropical Scenes with accessory images from Party Pups and Snail Mail. I colored everything with Copic Markers, including the sand below the coral scene, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I blended Distress Oxide Inks onto Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. Working out from the center, I used Salvaged Patina, then Peacock Feathers, and on the edges, Uncharted Mariner. I stamped a sentiment in the top right corner, and adhered the images with a mix of foam tape and liquid glue. To finish things off, I added a bit of Stardust Stickles.

This card is the Part 2 to my August Plan a Card with Me Video, so if you'd like to see a behind-the-scenes peek at how I brainstorm card ideas, go ahead and check that out. If you'd like to see how this card came together, you can click below or find the video tutorial HERE on YouTube. Thanks so much for watching! I really hope you enjoy it!

Fabulous Flamingos Card - Lawn Fawnatics #178

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this one is a fun color inspiration! For my card, I was not just inspired by the color palette, but also by the picture itself. I wanted to create something with flamingos, waves, and distant sandbars. To do that, I combined a whole bunch of Lawn Fawn sets, including Flamingo TogetherAhoy MateySwan SoireeToucan Do ItCritters from the Past, and You Are Sumblime.

I stamped the images in Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic Markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I trimmed out the background pieces from Bristol Cardstock and blended on Distress Oxide Inks. The sandbars were die cut with Stitched Hillside Borders and colored with Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs and the sea with the Stitched Simple Wavy Borders and colored with Salvaged PatinaPeacock Feathers, and Uncharted Mariner. I also used Spring Showers for the clouds.

I used more Salvaged Patina for the sky, and then stamped a sentiment in black ink in the center. I layered on my clouds, waves, and sandbars with a mix of Scotch 3M Foam Tape and liquid glue. Then I did the same for my images. I also did some stamping on the inside of the card with Peacock Ink. And of course, I finished things off with a little bit of Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, you can click below or watch the video tutorial on YouTube. I really hope you enjoy it! Please be sure to check out the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog to see what the rest of the design team has created using this color palette and to link up your own projects and play along. Summer Shine Card

Hey friends, today I've got another card to share using the new Hello Bluebird July Kit. This month's kit (our first ever) is called the Sun, Sand, and Surf collection and boy, is it aptly named! Summer is my most favorite season of all, and I have been having so much fun creating cards with these products. Bring on all the beachy, tropical vibes! I colored the images from Beach Friends and Beach Bums with Copic markers, including adding some fun details to the panda's Hawaiian shirt and the hammock, then trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I masked off the horizon line on a piece of Bristol with Post-it Tape, then blended on Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink. Then I readjusted the tape and blended on Peacock Feathers and Uncharted Mariner for the sea. I also cut out another piece of Bristol with the Beach Builder dies and blended on Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs for the sand. I also cut the clouds out using the Beach Umbrella dies.

I stamped my sentiment just below the horizon line and adhered all the layers and images with liquid glue. And that's it! If you like how this one turned out and want to watch the entire card making process, start to finish, then you can click below or find the video tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel. I really hope you enjoy it! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Bring on the Sun Card

Hey friends, today I've got another fun card to share using products from the brand new Sun, Sand, and Surf Card Kits from Hello Bluebird. This one features Jungle Littles at the Beach, which is part of the Classic Kit, which as of when I'm typing this, still has a few in stock. The Expanded Kit sold out in less than 24 hours! I wanted to bring you some happy, Summertime inspiration, so I colored the images with Copic markers to match some patterned paper, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my background, I took a piece of Bristol Cardstock and masked off the horizon line with Post-it Tape. Then I blended on Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink for the sky, Peacock Feathers and Uncharted Mariner for the sea, and Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs for the sand. I stamped the sentiment in the center and then die cut the Hello Bluebird Gallery Frame #3 from the Echo Park My Little Girl 6x6 patterned paper and popped the frame over the background with foam tape.

I adhered that to a Lilac card base and stamped on the inside in Juice Box Ink. Then I just popped the cute little critters into the open windows with more foam tape and finished them off with a bit of Stardust Stickles. If you'd like to see how the whole thing came together, you can watch the video tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel, or click below. Thanks so much! I really hope you enjoy it!

Underwater Holiday Card - Lawn Fawnatics Feature

Hey friends, today I'm over on the Lawn Fawnatics blog with another card for our Christmas in July Challenge! I have such a hard time making Christmas cards in the middle of summer, unless I set them in a warm or tropical location -- then it's easy peasy! Since the last one I did was set in the desert, this time I went under the sea, combining images from Mermaid for YouLife is Good, and Christmas Fishes with the Desert Canyon Backdrop. I'll have all other details and supplies listed in my post over there, so I hope you'll check it out. If you'd like to see how the card came together, you can find the video tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel. Thanks so much for watching! Have a great day!
