2021 Holiday Card Series #25

Hello friends! Welcome to Day 25 of my Holiday Card Series! Today's card features some sweet images from Hello Bluebird Frosty Friends and Snow Play stamp sets. I wanted to create a cute little winter scene with a beautiful patterned paper frame. I colored my images to match the Simple Stories Make it Merry 6x8 pad and die cut them with their matching dies.

For the background, I watercolored with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. Then I die cut that patterned paper with the Hello Bluebird Gallery Frame #2 and popped that up with foam tape. I added two Slimline Hill and Dale snowdrifts and adhered my images. Then I die cut the Jane Small Alpha dies out of colored cardstock and heat embossed the rest of my sentiment. I finished off the card with Tiny Iridescent StarsStardust Stickles, and some Dr Ph Martin's Bleed Proof White snow.

This is my last Christmas card for 2021, but I will be back for Day 26 of the Holiday Card Series with a New Year's card. If you'd like to see how this one came together, click below or watch on YouTube. And don't forget to like and subscribe! Thank you so much for watching!

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - December

Hello and welcome to the December edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! Today I'm excited to bring you a sweet card using the new Stacey Yacula stamp set Sweet Skunks. I think these critters are just darling and I love the background images, which can be used for so many different scenes. I colored them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Mini slimlines are some of my favorite shaped cards to make, and I love the detail of the new Mini Slimline Double Stitched Rectangle STAX. I used that for my background and blended on Distress Oxides to create a sky and grass. I applied Speckled Egg using the Cloud Stencil and Bundled Sage and Mowed Lawn with the Drifts and Hills Stencil.

I stamped a sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black Ink in the top right corner and adhered it to a Kraft card base. Then I added a few splashes of gold with the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors, and then finished the card with a few Sparkling Clear Sequins filled in with Platinum Stickles.

I really hope that you enjoy this sweet scene and that you'll check out the video tutorial on the MFT Stamps YouTube channel. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #115 - 2021 Holiday Card Series #24

Hello friends and welcome to our final Lawn Fawnatics Challenge of 2021! This one has a fun inspiration board for you to be inspired by. It's definitely more of a New Year's theme, but I was still in a Christmas mood, so I created by card based mainly on the bottom right photo, while pulling in the dark woodgrain and silver accents from the bottom left, and the outdoor theme from the top right. I combined several stamp sets including Cheery ChristmasA Bug DealFrosty Fairy Friends, and Joy to the Woods.

I started by stamping the images in Jet Black Ink, coloring them with Copic markers, and trimming them out with the matching dies. Then I trimmed down a piece of teal Let it Shine Snowflakes 6x6 patterned paper to be my sky background. I added two Stitched Hillside Borders to be my snowdrifts. I colored the top edge of those with Copics as well, to give them a frosty look.

I adhered my background to a Rainforest card base and added my snow drifts and images. Then I die cut some Silver Metallic Cardstock with the largest Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames to pull in those silver accents in the inspiration photo, and popped that up with foam tape. Then I finished off the card with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

This is also Day 24 of my 2021 Holiday Card Series so be sure to check out the video tutorial and leave a like and a comment! It's like a free Christmas present to me, and I sure would be grateful for your support! Click below or watch on YouTube.

2021 Holiday Card Series #21

Hey friends, today I'm back with Day 21 of my 2021 Holiday Card Series using the incredibly adorable Hello Bluebird Sweet Christmas stamp set. I am just in love with these gingerbread kids and that house was so much fun to color! I colored everything with Copic markers to match patterned paper from the DCWV Holly Jolly 6x6 pad and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I trimmed down the patterned paper with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and added a Slimline Hill and Dale snowdrift. Then I adhered my images with liquid glue, and stamped a sentiment in Bubblegum Ink. I finished the card with some white gel pen details and  Stardust Stickles for a bit of sugary glitz.

2021 Holiday Card Series #20 1 Set 4 Ways Episode 10

Hello friends, welcome to Day 20 of my 2021 Holiday Card Series! Can you believe we're here already? With only a few days left to go, but still several people on my Christmas Card list, I thought now was the perfect time for another episode of 1 Set 4 Ways, so I could quickly create four unique cards in a similar style. I chose to feature the adorable penguins from MFT's It's Penguinning to Look a Lot Like Christmas. I colored them all with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

The patterned papers are all from the DCWV Holiday Cheer 6x6, and I used a whole bunch. I chose a base print to cover each of my Ballet Slippers card bases. That one was trimmed out with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables. Then I selectively die cut a contrasting pattern using the bottom of the Stitched Party Banners to give me a longer banner with the fish tail edge.

The focal panels were die cut with a Large Stitched Circle Stackables and I adhered that to a Scalloped Circle Stackables of Chili Pepper Cardstock to serve as a little break between the prints. I also added snowdrifts with the Stitched Hillside Borders. I glued down my images and stamped a sentiment using Hello Bluebird Typed Christmas, then finished off with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to watch all four of these cards come together, click below or watch on YouTube. And don't forget to give the video a like and a comment! Any interaction helps so much with the algorithm, and I so appreciate it. Have a great day!

2021 Holiday Card Series #19

Hello friends! Welcome to Day 19 of my 2021 Holiday Card Series! Today's card features the sweet vintage deer from Hello Bluebird's Merry Little Christmas. I really wanted to use her on a super feminine Christmas card for my Grandma. I colored her in with Copics and trimmed her out with the matching dies. I added in a bow from Balloon Buddies, and I also stamped out three trees from Big Christmas Greetings and the word "greetings" in Lawn Fawn Noble Fir Ink and the word "seasons" in Lobster and trimmed those out with the matching dies.

For the background, used some patterned papers from the DCWV Holiday Cheer 6x6. I cut the  pink and white polkadot print with the Hello Bluebird Nesting Oval, and trimmed down the poinsettia print to fit behind the Gallery Frame #2, which I die cut out of Chili Pepper Cardstock. I adhered these to a Ballet Slippers card base, then added some Slimline Hill and Dale snow drifts to my focal panel, and framed it up using those Nesting Oval dies and some Lawn Fawn Metallic Gold Cardstock. To add a bit of glitter to the card, I used some Stardust Stickles.

2021 Holiday Card Series #18

Hey friends, welcome to Day 18 of my 2021 Holiday Card Series! Today's card features the super cute Polar Party by Reverse Confetti. I just love these adorable arctic friends! I stamped them all with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I created a focal panel by using some patterned papers from the Simple Stories Feelin' Frosty 6x8 pad, adding a Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside Borders snowdrift, and framing it with a Sunny Studio Fancy Frames Rectangle. I popped that up with foam tape over a few more layered patterns, and finished off the card with some Stardust Stickles.

BRI Design Team Event for Vanessa

Hey friends, I'm back again with another post today to send some love and support to my dear friend Vanessa, owner of Butterfly Reflections Ink. A few of her past and present design team have put together a little Instagram hop in her honor, so I hope you'll check that out. But I also wanted to do a blog post so I would have a place to list all the supplies I used, which can be found in Vanessa's amazing shop. I can't say enough good things about Vanessa as a person and as a business woman. She is the best!

For my card, which I will be sending her way, I used the sweet You and Me Together stamp set by Rachelle Anne Miller for MFT. I colored the image with Copic markers and trimmed it out with the matching dies. I layered Echo Park Winter 6x6 patterned papers onto a Lawn Fawn Moonstone card base, with Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock sandwiched between the window openings. The outside patterned was die cut with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and the windows with Circle Stackables I finished with a sentiment stamped in Deep Sea Ink, trimmed out with an Everyday Sentiment Banner and a bit of Stardust Stickles.

No video for this one, as unfortunately my SD card malfunctioned halfway through, but please do check out the hop and maybe do a little shopping for yourself or a crafty friend!

Lawn Fawnatics #114 - 2021 Holiday Card Series #17

Hello and welcome to another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This time we have a fun card sketch for you with a repetitive pattern. My inspiration for this card was to show Santa going from rooftop to rooftop on Christmas Eve, delivering all those gifts! I combined images from Ho-Ho-Holidays and Holiday Helpers, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I took the Rooftop Border and die cut it out of DolphinNarwhal, and Black Licorice cardstock, and adhered them to a Blue Jay card base, and cut the chimneys out of Chili Pepper. I used Distress Oxides in Black SootHickory Smoke, and Gathered Twigs to give each of those pieces a little definition.

Then I adhered my images with liquid glue, and added a sentiment stamped in Lobster Ink, trimmed down with an Everyday Sentiment Banner. To finish off the card, I used a bit of Stardust Stickles, and created snowfall with some Gansai Tambi Starry Colors, plus a little Dr Ph Martin's Bleed Proof White.

This is also Day 17 of my 2021 Holiday Card Series so I hope you'll give the video a watch, and a thumbs up or a comment if you enjoyed it! You can either click below or watch on YouTube. Once you're done, head on over to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the design team has created to inspire you. We can't wait to see what you do with our card sketch!

2021 Holiday Card Series #16

Hey friends, welcome to Day 16 of my 2021 Holiday Card Series! Today I was so excited to color the adorable Selfies with Santa stamp set by Stacey Yacula for My Favorite Things! I think these little polaroids are just so adorable. I colored each one with Copic markers and then trimmed them down and set them aside. I also stamped out a sentiment using Lawn Fawn Noble Fir Ink and trimmed that down with an Everyday Sentiment Banner.

I cut down some cozy plaid patterned paper from the Crate Paper Busy Sidewalks 6x8 pad with the MFT Slimline Stitched Square Trio and the inner die from the Sunny Studio Slimline Scalloped Frame and popped that up over the images using foam tape. I glued that to a white panel that I die cut with the outer die from that Sunny Studio die set, and glued that to an MFT Amarena Cherry Slimline card base. As a finishing touch, I added a bit of Stardust Stickles.

2021 Holiday Card Series #15

Hello and welcome to Day 15 of my 2021 Holiday Card Series! Today I'm coming back to those adorable gnomes from Hello Bluebird Gnome for the Holidays. I just love these little guys so much and I can't stop coloring them! I did a slimline version with these guys for Day #8, but I wanted to change up the size and the color palette for this one. I colored them all with Copic Markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I took some patterned paper from the Simple Stories Make It Merry 6x8 pad and die cut the plaid and the red print with the Gallery Frame #7 and backed it with the green tree print. I added some Slimline Hill and Dale snowdrifts (I don't have the regular size) and my images, plus a Merry Little Christmas sentiment, die cut with a Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banner. Then I finished the card with some Stardust Stickles and Dr. Ph Martin's Bleed Proof White snow.

I also created another version of this card with a few differences, which served as the inspiration for this video. I made it off screen, and then decided to recreate it on camera so you could see it all come together.

2021 Holiday Card Series #14

Hey friends, welcome to Day 14 of my 2021 Holiday Card Series! Today's card features the adorable Sweet Christmas by Hello Bluebird stamp set. Aren't these gingerbread people just so darling? I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I blended some Distress Oxides onto Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock for my backgrounds. I used Cracked Pistachio for the snow globe background, then stamped on the peppermint candies as snowflakes. For the card base panel, I also added in some splatters of Lucky Clover and the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors.

Then I took the Hello Bluebird Snow Globe Builder and trimmed out two white snow drifts, a frame in Lawn Fawn Guava Cardstock and a base in Lawn Fawn Light Brown Woodgrain Cardstock. Then I stamped a sentiment from Merry Little Christmas in Walnut Ink. I adhered the inked panel to a Kraft card base, then glued the snow globe in the middle of that. I added my images and finished with a bit of White Gel Pen details and some Stardust Stickles.

Fawny Holiday Week! + 2021 Holiday Card Series #12

Hey friends, it's Fawny Holiday Week at Lawn Fawn, and I'm so happy to be participating today with this fun card combining so many sets to depict Santa's Workshop! I used Ho-Ho-HolidaysHoliday HelpersYou're Just My TypePurrfectly WickedUnicorn Picnic, and the Virtual Friends Add-on. I colored them all in with my Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

To give the room that old-world charm, I blended Distress Inks onto a panel of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. I used Antique Linen for the walls, and Gathered Twigs for the floor, and masked off the baseboard with Post-it Tape. I trimmed that panel down with an Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and glued it to a Ground Coffee card base, then finished with a Walnut Ink sentiment and a bit of Stardust Stickles.

2021 Holiday Card Series #11

Hey friends, welcome to Day 11 of my Holiday Card Series! Today I'm featuring the sweet Avery Elle Christmas Critters. This was the very first Christmas stamp set I purchased for my series this year, so I'm so happy to finally be using it. I stamped all the images in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I mixed patterned papers to my heart's content! I used the DCWV Holly Jolly 6x6 pad, which is just so pretty. I cut the two base prints with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and gave the red plaid a rounded edge with one of the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders. The two I used for the focal panel I die cut with the Large Cross-Stitched Square Stackables and used another one of the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders for the snow drift. I popped my focal panel up with foam tape, adhered my images and Everyday Sentiment Banner, and finished with a few Sequins and some Christmas Red and Stardust Stickles.

To check out the video tutorial, click below or watch on YouTube. And don't forget to like and subscribe to my channel if you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
