Tops in my Book Card - Lawn Fawnatics Feature

Hey friends! Today I'm honored to be featured over on the Lawn Fawnatics blog with a card for our Travel Destination/Favorite Place Challenge! My last card focused on the travel destination aspect, so this time I decided to go with my favorite place, which is the library! I used the sweet little squirrel from Happy Hugs and the books from Den Sweet Den. I'll have more details on the products I used and the inspiration behind this card over there, so I hope you'll go check it out.

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - May Edition

Hey friends, I'm so happy to be back today with the May edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! This month I could not resist the adorable critters in the Let's Work Together stamp set. Not only are they super cute, but they've got a great work ethic! Gotta appreciate that! I colored them up with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background I used the Rolling Clouds Stencil with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to create a sky, then die cut two Grassy Hills and blended on Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. I also did a little splatter on both for some extra movement in the scene. I framed it up with an A2 Rectangle Frame die cut from Woodgrain Whimsy patterned paper and finished it off with a fun sentiment.

Seas the Day Card - Lawn Fawnatics #101

Hey friends, happy Monday, and welcome to our newest Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This round is all about favorite places and travel destinations, and my husband and I love to travel, or dream of traveling to warm, tropical locales. Anyplace where there is sunshine, and palm trees, and ocean waves lapping the sea shore. But we aren't much for just sitting on the beach. We love to explore, go hiking, and dream of renting motorbikes and cruising along the beach, so that's what I represented in today's card.

I started out with Scootin' By, and added in images from Life is Good, colored with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I used a whole bunch of colored cardstock for my background, including Sticky Note for the Sunburst BackdropFake Tan for the sun, Mermaid and Kraft for the Stitched Simple Wavy Borders, and Storm Cloud for the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders. I finished off with a sentiment from On the Beach on the sun.

Firefly Wishes Card

Hey friends, happy Friday! Today's card really brings the nostalgia! It features Firefly Friends by Rachelle Anne Miller for MFT, which totally takes me back to hot July nights, running barefoot in the grass with my cousins chasing fireflies. I colored the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I blended Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of Bristol Smooth Surface cardstock. I used Speckled Egg in the center, then Shaded Lilac, and then Dusty Concord on the outside edges. I trimmed that down with the Lawn Fawn Cross-Stitched Square Stackables

I created a card base from Lawn Fawn Sticky Note Cardstock, and layered on some fun papers from the Doodlebug Fairy Garden 6x6 pad, which I die cut with the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables. Then I popped my focal panel up with foam tape and added a Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banner with a sentiment from MFT's Pawty Time by Stacey Yacula.

To finish off the card I used Fantastix Coloring Tools to add some distant fireflies with White Pigment Ink and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink, and of course, some Stardust Stickles.

Happy Bee-Day Card

Hello friends, happy Monday! Today I've got a honey of a card for you (lol) featuring the Hello Bluebird Bee Happy stamp set. I love these sweet little bees, so I decided to feature them on some honeycomb. I colored them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the honeycomb, I started by blending Distress Inks in Squeezed LemonadeMustard Seed, and Fossilized Amber onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface cardstock. Then I die cut a second piece with the Sunny Studio Frilly Frames Hexagon dies, and colored that one with only Fossilized Amber to create some contrast. I popped the frame and the bees up with foam tape, added a Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiments Banner, and finished off the card with some Sparkling Clear Sequins and Stardust Stickles.

Anne of Green Gables Card

Hello friends! I'm super excited to bring you today's card, because it depicts my favorite literary heroine of all time, Anne of Green Gables! I created this one using several Hello Bluebird stamp sets, starting with the Country Roads Background. I colored the house to look like Green Gables and the girl from Picked for You to be Anne. Then I added in a few accessories like the books and mouse from Tabitha and some leaves from Pumpkin Time

I colored everything with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I trimmed down the background panel with the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and stamped the sentiment from Pumpkin Time that is a quote from the author of Anne of Green Gables, L. M. Montgomery. I adhered the panel to a Noble Fir Cardbase and finished off the card with a little Stardust Stickles.

Jungle Birthday - Lawn Fawnatics #100

Hello friends! Today I'm so excited to bring you my card for our 100th Lawn Fawnatics Challenge: Cards for Kids! I wanted to create a party, so I combined a ton of Lawn Fawn sets, including Wild for YouCritters on the SavannaCritters in the JungleA Bug DealButterfly Kisses, and You are Sublime. I stamped everything with Jet Black ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I cut the Sunburst Backdrop out of some Spiffy Speckles patterned paper, and stamped a sentiment from Magic Messages in the center. Then I arranged my critters with a combo of foam tape and liquid glue, and filled in the scene with leaves. I mounted this onto some Sticky Note Cardstock and finished off the inside as well, which you can check out in the video.
