Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - February

Hey friends, today I'm so excited to be back with the February edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! This month I could not resist the adorable pups from the new Itching to Tell You Happy Birthday by Rachelle Anne Miller stamp set. Aren't they just the sweetest? I stamped them all with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink, colored with my Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

To build my card, I die cut a piece of Rainbow Love 6x6 patterned paper with the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 and adhered it to a Grape Jelly card base. For the focal panel I die cut a piece of Bristol with the Inside & Out Stitched Arch STAX and blended on some Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink, and added a sentiment. I popped that up with foam tape, glued down my images, and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

Happy Bird-Day Card

Hey friends, today I've got a sweet card to share using Hello Bluebird Garden Party and Garden Friends stamp sets. These two work so well together! I colored the images with Copic markers to match some Carta Bella Gather at Home 6x6 patterned paper, and then trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I die cut a focal panel using the Nesting Circles and some Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock.

I blended Distress Oxide Inks onto the focal panel, using Speckled Egg and Cracked Pistachio for the sky, and Mowed Lawn for the grass. I stamped a sentiment and some music notes in Versafine Onyx Black Ink and adhered my images. The patterned paper was trimmed down with a Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and glued to an Apricot card base. I popped the focal panel up with foam tape and finished with some Sparkling Clear Sequins and Stickles.

Swan Lake Wedding Card - Lawn Fawnatics #119

Hey friends, welcome to another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This time we've got a fun sketch for you to try. I decided to flip the sketch on it's side, and create a wedding card for friends who are getting married tomorrow. I combined images from Swan SoireeToadally AwesomeMermaid for You, and Bicycle Built for You. I colored them all with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I used the Cloudy Stencil with some Spun Sugar and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink to create a sky on some Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. Then blended Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky onto a Stitched Simple Wavy Border for the sea.

I stamped the sentiment in Forget-me-not Ink and trimmed that down with an Everyday Sentiment Banner and adhered the background to a Moonstone Card Base. Then I glued down my images and finished off with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

All About You Birthday Card

Hello friends, today I'm back with a birthday card combining some fun images from Hello Bluebird Balloon Buddies with an extra fox from Tree Neighbors. I colored my images with Copic markers to match a sheet of Simple Stories Good Stuff 6x8 patterned paper and then trimmed the images out with the matching dies.

For the background I used the Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil and some Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink to blend a sky onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. For the grass I used the MFT Drifts & Hills Stencil with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. I trimmed down the patterned paper with the Hello Bluebird Gallery Frame #1 and popped that up with some foam tape and finished up with a little Stardust Stickles.

Art Journal with Me #2 - Creativity Takes Courage

Hello friends, happy Valentine's Day! Today I'm so happy to bring you a bit of my newest love -- art journaling! This is my second time art journaling and once again, I had such a blast. This spread features my favorite animals -- red squirrels -- and has a bit of a happy mail theme with that pretty red mailbox filled with cards and letters.

The papers I featured this time were from the Ciao Bella Memories of a Snowy Day 6x6 pad. So cute! I also combined washi tapevintage paperspostage stamp stickers, and actual postage from cards some friends sent me. To add a bit of color, I used my Stabilo Woody 3 in 1 Pencil Crayons. I even added a little Lawn Fawn Gold Stencil Paste.

I'll have all other supplies listed and linked for you in the description box below the video on YouTube. I hope you'll give it a watch and maybe create along with me, whatever your hobbies are. Thank you so much for your kindness and support. Much love to you on Valentine's day!

2022 Valentine Card Series #9

Hello friends! Welcome to the 9th and final day of my 2022 Valentine Card Series! This one is definitely more of a group hug situation with all these Hello Bluebird Elephant Friends. I colored these cuties with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

The background I watercolored with some Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink. Then I die cut a frame using Simple Stories Happy Hearts 6x8 patterned paper and the Gallery Frame #2. I popped that up with foam tape and adhered my images. Then I die cut the word hugs from the Paper Hugs Word die from some Sticky Note Cardstock. I colored it with Copics and finished the card with Stardust Stickles.

I hope you all enjoyed my Valentine Card Series this year! I had such a blast creating these cards. To see how this one came together, click below or watch on YouTube. Thanks so much for stopping by!

2022 Valentine Card Series #8 - Lawn Fawnatics #118

Hello friends and welcome to a new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. This round we are going Clean and Simple, which is the most challenging for me! I tried to go monochromatic for a more muted look. For this card I used the Happy Hugs stamp set with the sweet hugging critters. I colored my images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I took the Quilted Heart Backdrop: Portrait and die cut it out of Apricot Cardstock. Then I layered it on top of some Watercolor Wishes Rainbow 6x6 patterned paper. I also die cut the Giant Sending Big Hugs and some hearts out of that same patterned paper print.

I layered everything onto an Apricot card base and adhered it all with liquid glue. I put my bunny and fox image over the big i and perched the little birdies over the small i in the sentiment. Then I finished off the hearts with a little Stardust Stickles.

This is also Day 8 of my 2022 Valentine Card Series, so I hope you'll check out the video tutorial. Click below or watch on YouTube, and don't forget to like and subscribe if you enjoy it!

And now it's time to head over to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog and see what the other design team members have created to inspire you. We can't wait to see your clean and simple projects!

2022 Valentine Card Series #7

Hey friends, welcome to Day 7 of my 2022 Valentine Card Series. Today's card features the super adorable Passionate Penguins from Sunny Studio. I just love their sweet little faces! I colored them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies. For the focal panel, I cut out a Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Stackables, stamped some hearts and colored it with Copics as well.

Then I cut the Sunny Studio Bursting Hearts die from some Lawn Fawn Chili Pepper Cardstock and layered it over a Guava card base. Then I popped the focal panel up with foam tape and added a white heat embossed Everyday Sentiment Banner and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.
