Hello friends! Today I'm so happy to be over on the Lawn Fawnatics Blog with another card for our Spectacular Skies challenge! I wanted to do something a little different than the typical blue sky, so I decided to set my scene at sunrise. Life Is Beautiful - Lawn Fawnatics #75

Hello friends, welcome to Lawn Fawnatics #75: Spectacular Skies!  What a fun challenge! For my card, I decided to take a cue from the inspiration photo and create a beautiful night sky to serve as the backdrop for my swans. I colored all my images from Swan Soirée with Copics, giving them a nice moonlit glow, then trimmed them out with the matching dies.

To create my night sky, I first masked off a circle in the center, then used a Mini Ink Blending Tool to sponge on Distress Oxide Inks in Mustard SeedWorn LipstickSeedless Preserves and Blueprint Sketch. I also created a Meadow Border panel with Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, and Mowed Lawn. Once I removed the mask, I colored the circle with Copics to look like a moon.

I trimmed down the sky background with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables, adhered it to my Moonstone card base, added my grass, and then the pond stamped with Blue Jay Ink. Then I filled up my scene with the colored images. As a final embellishment I used a White Gelly Roll Pen to add stars to my sky.

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - April

Hello! I'm so happy to be back with the April edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! Today I'm featuring the adorable Party Animals stamp set. So cute! I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my backdrop, I decided to use the Collage Cover-Up Die-namics Vertical. I die cut the frame from Sno Cone Cardstock and the inside cut outs from Spring Whimsy Patterned Paper. I fit all the little squares inside the frame and stamped my sentiment on the rectangle with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink.

I added all my images with liquid glue, until they filled up all the squares. I staggered a few of them to the left or right and adhered others in the center for some more visual interest. As a final touch, I added a bit of Glitter Pen to the balloons, cake frosting, and gift bows.

Toad-ally Awesome Friends Card

Hello everyone! I'm so excited to bring you this Springtime card using the adorable Hello Bluebird Garden Friends. I colored them with Copics, inspired by the bright, fresh color palette in the latest Color Throwdown Challenge. Just as in the inspiration photo, I focused mainly on the first three colors and added tiny pops of yellow with the bee, the spots on the mushrooms, and the small details on the butterfly's wings.

I trimmed the images out with the matching dies, then created a background using the Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil and some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. Then I made two grassy panels with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. I die cut one with the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border and the other with a Meadow Border.

I stamped a sentiment at the top of the cloud background, then adhered it to a MFT Sno Cone card base and layered the grass panels over top. Then I framed it all in using just the outer portion of the Hello Bluebird Gallery Frame #2 die cut from Razzle Berry Cardstock. I added my images in with liquid glue

I finished the card with some fun stamping on the inside with Merman Ink, which you can check out in the video. To see how this card came together, click below or watch on YouTube. And don't forget to like and subscribe! Thanks so much. Have an amazing day!

A Bug Deal - Lawn Fawnatics #74

Hello friends! Today we've got a fun sketch to challenge you at Lawn Fawnatics! The Foursquare Backdrop: Portrait is practically made for this sketch, so I pulled that out along with the new A Bug Deal. I colored up these cute creepy crawlies with Copics in fun Spring colors and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I added foam tape to the back of my Speckled Eggshell window and popped it up over some Watercolor Wishes patterned paper. Then I adhered my images with a combo of foam tape and liquid glue.

I white heat embossed part of the greeting on Blue Jay cardstock and trimmed it out with an Everyday Sentiments Banner and die cut the letters of the rest using Finley's ABCs and Cilantro cardstock.

I finished off the inside with some fun stamping in Blue Jay ink, which you can check out in the video tutorial. Click below or watch on YouTube, and don't forget to like and subscribe!
