Teddy Bear Picnic Card

Hello friends, today I'm back with an extra sweet teddy bear picnic scene, combining several sets from Hello Bluebird, including Bloom and GrowStrawberry JamPig Out, and Word Buddies Woodland. I stamped the images on Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I watercolored a background panel on Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock using Stormy Sky and Bundled Sage Distress Oxide Ink. I die cut Simple Stories Boho Baby patterned paper with the Hello Bluebird Gallery Frame #2 and popped it up with foam tape. For the sentiment, I die cut the word "thanks" from the Gallery Frame #2 out of Moonstone cardstock and colored it with Copics in an ombre effect. Then I added an additional phrase from Hello Bluebird Typed Everyday and finished off with some Clear Glaze Pen and Stardust Stickles.

Strawberry Picnic Card

Hey friends, happy Monday! Today I'm excited to bring you a sweet Spring picnic scene combining Hello Bluebird Meadow BunniesStrawberry Jam, and Pig Out stamp sets. I stamped all the images with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink on Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background I created a scene on a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock by using the Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil and some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink for the sky, and the MFT Drifts & Hills Stencil with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the ground. Then I cut a piece of MFT Pretty in Plaid paper with the Hello Bluebird Gallery Frame #6 and popped that up before adding my images. I finished off with a bit of Clear Glaze Pen and some  Stardust Stickles.

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - April

Hey friends, welcome to the April edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! This month I absolutely fell in love with the new Shout it from the Rooftops stamp set. What a fun and unique perspective! I colored the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I took the Rolling Clouds Stencil to create a sunrise using Spun Sugar and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Inks. I trimmed down the panel with an A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2, then I stamped a sentiment from Top of the World. I added my images with foam tape and finished with a little clear glaze pen over the windows and barrette.

Sending Sunshine - Lawn Fawnatics #123

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, and this time we're asking you to Create a Scene! Scene cards are some of my most favorite to make, so this one is right up my alley. I couldn't resist squeaking in one more Easter card, so I used the bunny from Scootin' By to be my Easter bunny, tiptoeing around as he hides his Easter eggs. I combined him with the Window Scene: Spring and an extra egg from Holiday Party Animal. I colored everything with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies, using the Window Scene: Winter dies for the focal panel and scalloped border.

Then I took a bunch of colorful pastel floral prints from the Flower Market 6x6 and cut them into strops. I layered those onto a Speckled Eggshell card base in a diagonal pattern. I popped the focal panel up with foam tape and added my images and an Everyday Sentiment Banner. I finished the card with a bit of Clear Glaze Pen and some Stardust Stickles.

Art Journal with Me #4 - Live Gently Upon this Earth

Hello friends! Today I'm bringing you my April Art Journal spread. This month I tried something new, using a paper napkin as my focal point, adhering it to the page with clear gesso, I then added layers of patterned papers from the Stamperia Hortensia 8x8 pad, scripty washi tapetickets and ephemera, then pulled it all together with white gesso.

To pull focus to the center, I added some Iridescent Gelatos around the edges to create a bit of a frame and pull in the colors from the florals. I finished with some Tim Holtz Small Talk Stickers for my title, some gel pen details, and a retro date stamp in Ranger Archival Ink.

To see how this spread came together, you can click below or watch on YouTube. If you enjoy it, be sure to like the video and subscribe to my channel! I can't wait to get started on my art journaling spread for May!

I stamped the images in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink onto Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock and colored them with my Copic markers. Then I trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the focal panels, I cut two more panels of white cardstock and splattered them with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink. Then I layered patterned paper from the Echo Park Welcome Baby Girl 6x6 onto MFT Princess Pink Cardstock. I trimmed down the papers with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and Stitched Scalloped Borders. I finished the cards with some Stardust Stickles and Clear Glaze Pen.

Garden of Life Card - Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #112

Hello friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This time we've got an inspiration board for you. I used the color palette down the side for my card. I combined images from Berry SpecialGarden Before 'n AftersA Creature Was Stirring, and A Bug Deal. I colored them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I blended Distress Oxide Inks onto Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. I used Tumbled Glass and the Cloudy Stencil for the sky, and Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover for the ground. I stamped the sentiment at the top in black ink and adhered my images with liquid glue.

I covered the card base with Flower Market 6x6 patterned paper, adhered my focal panel across the center, then added two thin strips of Ballet Slippers Cardstock to frame it in at the top and bottom. I finished off the card with some Stardust Stickles.

Happy Easter Card

Hello friends! Today I have a fun card for you, plus an announcement! Hello Bluebird is starting a new challenge as of today, and it's such a pretty color challenge. You'll want to check the Hello Bluebird Blog for all the details and info about the prize. To me, the colors were just screaming Easter, so I pulled out my Little Painters stamp set and got to work.

I colored my images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I watercolored a background using Distress Oxide Inks in Squeezed Lemonade for the sky and Cracked Pistachio for the ground. Then I trimmed down some Flower Market 6x6 patterned paper with the Gallery Frame #6 die and popped that and the images up with foam tape.

For the sentiment, I used the word "happy" from Greetings Bear in Versafine Onyx Black Ink. Then I die cut the word "Easter" using the Jane Small Alpha dies out of Ballet SlippersSticky Note, and Grapecicle Cardstock. To finish things off with a bit of sparkle, I added some Stardust Stickles.
