Cool Cat Birthday Shaker Card - Lawn Fawnatics #127

Hello friends, welcome to another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This round is all about Summertime Fun! For my card, I decided to use the brand new Pool Party stamp set and included the suntan lotion bottle from On the Beach. I stamped the images in Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

To create my pool, I first die cut the Stitched Pond from the All the Dots 6x6 pad to be the tile on the bottom, and blended on some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink to make it look like it's underwater. I also cut out a piece of Acetate, and then used the Stitched Pond Frame and die cut some Mermaid Cardstock. I adhered the frame to the acetate with 1/8" Score Tape and then  added a thin strip of foam tape to create a well. I filled that with Prisma GlitterChunky Glitter, and Iridescent Hearts, and popped the patterned paper on the back to seal it all in.

Next I created a card base from Dolphin Cardstock and blended Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink on the front with the Brick Stencil to give it the look of a patio. I added my shaker pool, then adhered my images with liquid glue. I also stamped a sentiment in Peacock Ink and trimmed it out with an Everyday Sentiment Banner. To finish off the card, I added a few Water Droplets around the pool.

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - June

Hello again my friends! I'm back today with the June edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! Today I'm over on the MFT Stamps YouTube Channel with a festive card featuring the new YUZU You Make My Heart Go Boom stamp set. I colored the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I created the focal panel with an Inside & Out Stitched Arch STAX, which I heat embossed fireworks and blended Distress Oxide Inks on. I popped that up with foam tape over several layers of Stars and Stripes 6x6 paper, which were trimmed down with the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2. I wanted to make this a birthday card, so I used a sentiment from Birdie Brown Birth-Yay and cut that out with an Essential Stitched Sentiment Strip, and finished with a little Stardust Stickles.

I really hope you enjoy this one! Click below to view the video tutorial or check it out on the MFT Stamps YouTube Channel. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Art Journal with Me #6 - The Adventure Begins

Hey friends, today I'm back with my June Art Journal with Me spread, and a very chatty video it is indeed! I had so much to share with you all about a recent trip my husband and I took and other things that are going on in my life. I created this bookish spread in my Art Journal, featuring some beautiful patterned papers from the Stamperia Lady Vagabond Lifestyle 6x6 pad. Reading is just about my favorite thing to do on earth, so it very much fits my life!

I love to add lots of layers to my page, in a bit of a collage or junk journal style. I combined washi tapesvintage style papersstickers, and other and other ephemera, including a map of a very cool bookstore we visited on that trip I mentioned. I talk all about it in the video, so grab a cup of coffee or tea, your favorite craft supplies, and let's hang out together!

For a full list of the supplies I used and links to everything possible, please check out the description bar below the video on YouTube. Make sure you also leave me a comment over there so we can chat and get to know each other even better! Thanks so much for spending time with me!

Sweetest Little Dream Card

Hello my friends, today I'm bringing you a bonus video for the latest Hello Bluebird color challenge on Instagram! I think this color palette is so dreamy and inspiring, I got a vision for what I wanted to create with it right away. I combined images from Little Star and Sweet Dreams, colored them with my Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I blended Distress Oxide Inks onto Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. I started in the center with Salvaged Patina, and then worked my way out with Salty OceanBlueprint Sketch, and a tiny bit of Black Soot to darken up the corners. Then I splattered on some Gansai Tambi Starry Colors for distant stars.

Once that was dry, I heat embossed the sentiment with Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder. I added the moon and stars with liquid glue and popped up the clouds and bears with foam tape. For a little extra sparkle and shine, I finished up with some Stardust Stickles.

O-Fish-Ally Awesome Dad Card - Lawn Fawnatics #126

Welcome to another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This round has two options for you to choose from: Beach vs. Mountains. Which do you prefer? I absolutely adore both, and couldn't possibly choose, but since I needed to make a Father's Day card for my dad, I decided to go with the mountain theme. I combined a whole bunch of stamp sets for this one, including Dad + MeDen Sweet DenBeary Happy HolidaysToadally AwesomeSwan Soiree, and Beary Rainy Day. I colored them all with Copics and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I used dies to build my background scene, starting with the Stitched Mountain Borders cut from Narwhal Cardstock, the Grassy Border from Noble Fir, and the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders from Cilantro. I stamped the sentiment at the bottom in Noble Fir Ink and added the pond from Dad + Me stamped in Mermaid Ink.

I added my images with liquid glue and finished up with a little bit of Stardust Stickles on the dragonfly wings and on the belly of the fish. I hope my dad will like it! It's Your Day Slimline Birthday Card

Hello my friends, today I've got a colorful slimline birthday card to share featuring Hello Bluebird Carried Away. I combined them with the birds from Flying High and party hats from Word Buddies Woodland. I stamped out these cute critters in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

The background was so easy to put together using the Partly Cloudy Slimline. I die cut it out of many colors of Lawn Fawn cardstock, including Mermaid for the sky and Speckled Eggshell for the clouds and frame. For the rainbow I used GuavaFake TanSticky NoteCilantroPeacock, and Sugarplum. To finish up the card I added a sentiment from Party on the Farm, some Sparkling Clear Sequins, and a bit of Stardust Stickles.
