Lawn Fawnatics #45 + Valentine Card Series #3

Good morning! Welcome to Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #45! We're coming up on the season of love, and our challenge this round reflects that! This is also Day #3 of my Valentine Card Series where I'm making cards for the Cards for Little Hearts Drive benefitting kids with congestive heart disease, so I wanted to keep this one fun and fairly gender neutral.

I started with Beep Boop Birthday and colored my robots with Copics to look like a boy and a girl. I added in a heart from Flamingo together and trimmed everything out with the matching dies.

For my focal panel, I used the Stitched Journaling Card to trim out some Narwhal cardstock and stamped a sentiment, gears, and bolts all over it in Hippo Ink. I added my images and popped it up over some BoBunny Woodland Wonders patterned paper that I'd trimmed with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables.

If you'd like to see how the card came together click below or use the YouTube icon at the bottom right corner to watch it there in HD. As always, don't forget to like and subscribe! It means so much!

And now it's time to head over to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog and check out the other amazing design team samples and link up your own Lots of Love projects to play along!

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - January

Hey friends! I am so excited to be heading into my second year of guest designing with My Favorite Things! They are such a wonderful company to work with and lets face it -- I just adore their products! Today I'm bringing you a sweet valentine card featuring the new Cutieasaurus stamp set. Aren't these dinos just darling?

I started out by stamping my images and coloring them with Copic markers. The matching dies are always my go-to for trimming out. They perfectly match the images leaving that awesome white border that I love.

For the background, I started with Sno Cone cardstock and trimmed that down with the second largest A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 for my sky. On that I layered a strip of Sour Apple cut down with the Grassy Hills Die-namics. I tucked in two Grapesicle Snow Capped Mountains sans caps, and added some Grout Gray ground with the Spring Scene Builder.

To my card base I adhered two contrasting patterns from the new Sweet Stack paper pack and popped my focal panel over top with foam tape. As a final touch, I added my sentiment with an Essential Slanted Sentiment Strip.

Check out the entire video tutorial over on the My Favorite Things YouTube Channel, or simply click on the video below. And I would love it if you would give the video a thumbs up and let them know how I'm doing with a comment! I really appreciate your support. Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Valentine Card Series #2

Hey friends! Today I'm excited to bring you Day 2 of my 2019 Valentine Card Series! As soon as I saw these Lovely Pandas by Gerda Steiner Designs they stole my heart. Just look at that sweet expression! I stamped him onto an MFT Wonky Stitched Circle STAX and colored him with Copic markers.

I trimmed down my Echo Park Sweet Baby Girl patterned paper with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and Everyday Sentiment Banners. I layered them up on my card base and popped the focal panel over top with foam tape.

As a finishing touch, I stamped a trio of little hearts in Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers ink and went over them with the Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Overlay pen.

Lawn Fawnatics #44 + Valentine Card Series #1

Hi friends! Today I've got a cute card to share with you for our newest Lawn Fawnatics Challenge: Happy Little Critters! This is also the kickoff of Day 1 of my Valentine Card Series and I'm supporting a new card drive this year, so I'll have all that information a little further down the post.

For today's card I used the adorable new mini set I Love You (Calypsos) combined with Critters Down Under and Chit Chat
I colored my images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the  matching dies.

Then I die cut several pieces of cardstock with the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames to create a scene. I used a light blue for my sky, green for my grass, and white for the frame. The green I die cut with the Stitched Hillside Borders and then stamped my sentiment down at the bottom.

I popped up my focal panel over some pink checked Gotta Have Gingham patterned paper, which I had trimmed down with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables.

I finished off the inside by stamping in Bubblegum ink which you can check out in the video. Click the YouTube icon to watch in HD, and don't forget to like and subscribe! It means so much.

As I mentioned at the beginning, I will be donating to a new card drive this Valentine season since the one I usually donated too is taking a year off due to a tragic fire and home rebuild. The Cards For Little Hearts Drive is another worthy cause that benefits children with congenital heart disease. Please do be sure to read through all the guidelines for submission and send in any cards before the deadline of January 31st. Cards must be RECEIVED by that date. I hope you'll join me in participating and blessing some wonderful kids!

And now its time to head over to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog and check out the other amazing design team samples. Then you can create your own Happy Little Critter cards and play along! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
