Cling Mount Stamp and Die Storage

Good morning, all! Last week I posted a video on my YouTube channel on how to mount your unmounted stamps with EZMount Cling Mounting Cushion by Crafter's Companion. I received a whole bunch of comments asking me to show how I then store those cling stamps, so I filmed an additional video showcasing that system. I thought I'd go ahead and share it with you all today. :)

The system I use is the EZMount Stamp Storage Mini Binder. The clear case is so sturdy and keeps everything so nicely contained. I've been using this system for about two years now and I can't recommend it highly enough. These are stamps I reach for often, and have even dropped from time to time. The binders still look and function like new.

In fact, I loved this system so much that I also switched all my dies over to the EZMagnetic Storage Binder, which utilizes the same exact sturdy, clear binder, but implements magnetic pages, rather than the coated pages the stamp system uses.

All my binders fit so nicely on my bookshelf and I love how everything is so neat and tidy and contained. I also labeled the sides with each binder's contents so that I can quickly find what I need. As I said, it's been nearly two years since I began using these storage systems and they work so well for me. I can't speak highly enough of them and they are truly one of my favorite storage solutions in my craft room.

Check out the video below for more in depth look at these two storage systems.

Thank You For Everything

Hello there! Today I am sneak peeking one of the new images about to be added to the Brambly Hedge line at Crafter's Companion. This image is from the set The High Hills, and the book lover in me just couldn't resist coloring this little guy up.

I used my Spectrum Noirs in shades: EB1, EB2, EB3, PP1, CT2, CT4, BT2, BG1, DR5, DR7, CG3, CG4, BGR4, BGR5, IB1, IB2, CR7, CR9, and LG1. I also couldn't resist using some of the Black Pearl Shimmering Cardstock. The photo does not do it justice. It is so pretty and shimmery in real life.

I hope you like it! Stay tuned for the full release of the new Brambly Hedge images next week!

Carpe Diem Cityscape

Gosh, if any of you have managed to stick with me here, I sure do appreciate it! Still without my MacBook functioning properly, but with the help of some friends and their fab watermarking skills, I am at least back in blogging business.

So today I want to share an awesome new release from Crafter's Companion. They've added a U.S. Landmark Collection to their Art-Kure line, and my most favorite image of all is this Brooklyn Bridge cityscape. I've mentioned before that we were walking through Time's Square the very first time my now-husband told me that he loved me, so NYC has always held a near and dear place in my heart.

The cityscape is so elegant on its own, that I merely wanted to add a bit of festive flair to the card, so I sprinkled some Mister Huey's over the panel to resemble confetti. I also added a sentiment from Die'sire Sentimentals "Nature" and mounted it all on some classic black card stock.

I hope you enjoy it! I'll be back soon with more cards as I try to play catch-up on projects for this month!

Monster Hugs - Lawnscaping Challenge #90

Hello there everyone! Long time no see! I'm sorry I've been MIA. Sadly, my MacBook crashed almost two weeks ago while upgrading the OS and I had to go many days with no computer. Can you image? It's crazy how attached to these things we become. How hard it is to function without them. Unfortunately, I lost iMovie and iPhoto, so I am unable to shoot videos at the moment, and have to use a photo editing app on my phone. The quality isn't the greatest, so I hope you'll bear with me.

But anyway, welcome to Lawnscaping Challenge #90! Critter's Galore! It's time to break out those adorable critters we all love so much and use them to create a sweet scene.

For my card, I used the new Monster Mash stamps and dies, as well as the new Stitched Hillside Borders to build my spooky scene. I hope you like it!

Please head over to the Lawnscaping Challenge blog to check out the other amazing DT samples and to link up your projects and play along.

Special thanks to Lawn Fawn for generously donating a FREE stamp set of the winners choice as our prize! We love Lawn Fawn!

Best Witches

Hello there! Happy Thursday! Today I'm popping in to share a card I made for the new Halloween stamp line at Crafter's Companion. The minute I saw these adorable kiddos from "Trick Or Treating" I knew I had to pay homage to my all-time favorite movie, The Wizard of Oz, and make a Glinda and Elphaba card.

I colored them with my Spectrum Noirs in shades: FS1, FS3, PP1, PP2, CG3, CG4, GB1, GB3, GB4, TN6, TN7, CT2, BG1, BG6, BG7, OR2, and OR3 and mounted them on Black Pearl Shimmering Cardstock die cut with the Die'sire Scalloped Tags and run through my Cuttlebug with the Embossalicious Petite Dot 6x6 folder. I also die cut some leaves with the Die'sire Leaf Swirls to serve as an extra accent in the background and break up the bands of patterned paper.

I hope you like it! Check out the full Halloween release at Crafter's Companion!

Many Thanks - Lawnscaping Challenge #89

Hello, everyone! Happy Labor Day to my friends here in the States! I hope you're enjoying this last holiday of summer and picnicking with people you love. Today we bring you Lawnscaping Challenge #89 - One Layer.

If you are unsure what qualifies as "one-layer" I like to define it as nothing but the actual card base itself. I used to find these cards the most difficult of all to produce, but I'm happy with the way my card turned out this time.

I needed a thank you card for our realtor, who has been doing such a great job helping us on our house hunt, so I stamped out the houses from Home Sweet Home in Versafine Onyx Black and watercolored them with my Distress Inks.

Special thanks to the lovely folks at Simon Says Stamp for sponsoring our challenge with a $25 gift certificate to their store. We appreciate them so much!
