Hey friends! It's time for a new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, and this is such a fun one! Holiday's Past & Present combines old and new Christmas (or other winter holiday) sets on a card or project. I think I could easily come up with a hundred ideas for this theme, but the one I decided to create had been living rent-free in my head since I saw the new Gingerbread House, so I was so happy to bring it to life!
I wanted to depict a Christmas kitchen scene -- the mixing, rolling, cutting, baking, and assembly of a gingerbread house and all it's accessories. I brought in additional images from Sprinkled with Love, A Creature Was Stirring, and Baked with Love. I stamped everything in dark brown ink for a softer look, and colored with Copic markers.
For the wallpaper background, I used a piece of the new Let It Shine Holiday Plaids patterned paper with the gold foiling. So pretty! And I added a strip of Light Brown Woodgrain Cardstock for the table top. To tie into the frosted roof of the house, I used a Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frame, and layered the Scripty Sweet word and Outline to resemble the cookies.
