Sending Big Hugs Card

Hello my friends! Today I'm back with a sweet comfort card featuring Hello Bluebird Big Woodland Hugs. The critters in this set are just so dang cute! I colored the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the focal panel, I selectively die cut a panel of Lawn Fawn Speckled Eggshell Cardstock with the Hello Bluebird Nesting Deckle Mini Slimline dies and popped that up over a Kraft card base. I also die cut the Sending Hugs Words dies out of Ground Coffee Cardstock and Vellum for my sentiment. I finished the card by stamping a few hearts in Bubblegum and Ballet Slippers ink and adding a bit of Stardust Stickles.

Art Journal with Me #5 - Don't Forget to Fly

Hello my friends! Today I'm so happy to bring you another installment in my Art Journal with Me Series! So far this marks my 5th spread, one for each month of 2022. That schedule seems to work perfectly for me, so I can focus on cards for the majority of the time, but let loose and try something fun and new every once in a while. For my May spread in my Art Journal, I wanted to showcase some papers from the Stamperia Flower Alphabet 12x12 pad. I chose a bird theme, since the birds have been singing up a storm in my backyard lately and it just makes me so happy!

I also included some different washi tapesstickers, vintage papers, and bits of ephemera, and sealed them in with a coat of clear gesso. I added texture by applying embossing paste through a stencil, and used Iridescent Gelatos to bring in some extra color. And of course, I couldn't finish off a page without a title using Tim Holtz Ideology Small Talk Stickers.

For a full list of supplies and links, check the description bar below the video on YouTube. I hope you'll come hang out with me, grab your supplies and create a page or a card or whatever it is that you love to do. We'll have a good time chatting and making something beautiful together.

Oh Baby Card Duo - Hello Bluebird New Release Preview Day 2

Hello friends, it's Day 2 of previews for the Hello Bluebird New Release on 5/21. Today I'm showcasing the Little Star stamps, and Starry Sky and Oh Baby Words dies. I created two cards, a boy version and a girl version. Which one is your favorite? For both, I colored the images with Copics and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

The backgrounds were created by blending Distress Oxide Inks onto Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. For the boy version I used Tumbled GlassSalvaged Patina, and Stormy Sky, and for the girl version I used Saltwater TaffyKitsch Flamingo, and Picked Raspberry. Then I splattered those with Liquid Stardust. I die cut the Starry Sky and adhered the panels to Sticky Note card bases. I adhered the images and die cut sentiments and finished with some Stardust Stickles.

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - May

Hey friends, welcome to the May edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! Today I've got a super cute masculine card for you. I made this one for my hubby's birthday using the new Stacey Yacula Backyard BBQ stamp set. I colored the images with Copics and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I die cut the Picnic in the Park Die-namics out of Kraft Cardstock and the table cloth out of Black and White Plaid 6x6 patterned paper.

For the background, I blended Distress Oxide Inks onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock using the Drifts & Hills Stencil for the grass, and the Cloud Stencil for the sky. I stamped a sentiment at the top and trimmed it down with an A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2. I popped that up with foam tape over another piece of the patterned paper and adhered my images to complete the scene.

Birdhouse Card - Lawn Fawnatics #125

Hello friends, welcome to another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This one is a new one for me. I've never attempted a dies only card, but there's a first time for everything, am I right? For this one I decided to use the Magic Iris Birdhouse Add-on to create a sweet Springtime scene.

For this one, I used a whole bunch of different colored cardstock. The card base is Moonstone, and the Spring Showers clouds and roof are Woodgrain White, with a drop shadow of Narwhal on the roof. For the vines I used Cilantro and Noble Fir. The flowers are Sticky Note and MFT Grapecicle, the birdhouse MFT Sno Cone.

I created a nest inside the house using Kraft and Ground Coffee. The birds were cut out of Moonstone with Blue Jay for their wings and Black Licorice for the eyes. To finish it off, I added a Scripty Hello sentiment.

To see how I completed the inside without stamps, you'll have to check out the video tutorial! Hit the thumbs up if you enjoy it, and subscribe for new videos every Monday and Friday!

There for Me Card

Hey friends, welcome back! Today I've got a sweet card to share using the Mama Elephant You Raise Me Up stamp set. I stamped the images in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink on Spectrum Noir Premium White Cardstock and colored them with my Copic markers to match some patterned paper from the Simple Stories Boho Baby 6x8. Then I trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the focal panel, I cut down a piece of Bristol with the Lawn Fawn Mini Slimline Stackables and blended on Distress Inks with the MFT Drifts & Hills Stencil. I used Stormy Sky and Tumbled Glass for the sky and Bundled Sage for the grass. Then I layered that over the patterned paper, which I die cut using the same Mini Slimline set, plus the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables, and Stitched Scalloped Borders. I white heat embossed a sentiment and finished with a touch of Stardust Stickles.

Mom's Day Sloth Card

Hello friends, today I'm bringing you a bright and cheery Mother's Day card using Thanks a Sloth from The Greeting Farm. I love all three of the sweet sloths in this stamp set, but this one here is my favorite. I stamped the image in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink on Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock and colored it with my Copic markers.

I trimmed down the focal panel with a Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Circle Stackable, blended a little Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink around the edges, and stamped a sentiment from Lawn Fawn Rub-a-Dub-Dub. Then I popped that up with foam tape over layers of Simple Stories Full Bloom 6x8 patterned paper and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

Galaxy Belated Birthday - Lawn Fawnatics #124

Hey friends, I'm back with another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This round we're creating masculine cards with an inspiration color palette. The brown in that palette wasn't really working for me, so I replaced it with the green from our watermark at the bottom. Absolutely make these challenges work for you! I combined images from Year Eleven and Out of this World and colored them with Copic markers.

For my galaxy background, I blended Distress Inks on a panel of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. I used Twisted CitronSalvaged PatinaPeacock Feathers, and Blueprint Sketch, then darkened up the edges with Black Soot. I added some splatters of Liquid Stardust and Dr. Ph Martin's Bleedproof White for the stars. Once that panel was dry, I trimmed it down with an Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables.

I mounted the panel onto a Black Licorice card base, and also White Heat Embossed my sentiment and trimmed that down into strips. I added that and all the images except the stars with foam tape and finished the card off with a bit of Stardust Stickles.
