You're My Rainbow Card

Hi friends, today I'm bringing you a rainy day scene combining a few Hello Bluebird sets, including Rain or ShineSinging in the Rain, and Puddle Play. I colored my sweet fox and his duckling friends with Copic markers to match some Simple Stories 6x8 patterned paper. Then I trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I blended some Distress Oxide Ink onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock with the Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil. I used Salvaged Patina and Stormy Sky for the clouds and Hickory Smoke for the sidewalk, with Salvaged Patina for the puddle. I also splattered on some Gansai Tambi Starry Colors for the raindrops in the sky. I stamped a Rainbow Script sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black Ink, and popped up my patterned paper frame, which I die cut with the Gallery Frame #4.

Just Saying Hello Card

Happy Monday, friends! Today I've got a card featuring some sweet bears from Hello Bluebird. I combined a few different sets, including Word Buddies WoodlandLeaf Play, and Deer Friend. I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies. I did them in Summer colors, but I think this card would look great with colored Fall leaves!

For the background, I watercolored with Distress Oxide Inks onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. I started with Shabby Shutters, then added Bundled Sage, and Mowed Lawn. To add a bit of a sheen, I splattered on some gold Starry Colors watercolors.

Then I took the Gallery Frame #2 and die cut that out of some Echo Park Let's Go Camping patterned paper. I popped that up with foam tape over the background and glued it to a Kraft card base. I added my images with foam tape as well. For the sentiment I took the hello die from Gallery Frame #6 and die cut that out of some Dark Brown Woodgrain Cardstock and added an Everyday Sentiment Banner to finish it off.

And of course, I created a video tutorial for you! Click below or watch on YouTube. And please also like and subscribe for more videos! I post new ones every Monday and Friday. Thank so much for stopping by!

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - July

Hello and welcome to the July edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! This month I could not resist the sweet penguins from Stacey Yacula's Penguin Party. I love how fluffy and chubby and cute they look! I colored them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with their matching dies.

For the focal panel, I trimmed down some Buffalo Brights 6x6 patterned paper with the Elegant Rectangle STAX and used a Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2 for the floor. I popped that up with foam tape over a piece of Poppin' Polkadots patterned paper, which I adhered to a Sno Cone card base. I added a sentiment and a few music notes and a bit of Stardust Stickles to finish things off.

Campfire Birthday Card - Lawn Fawnatics #105

Hey friends! Welcome to another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This time we are having Fun with Food, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to play with S'more the Merrier and create a cute campfire scene. I stamped all the images in Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the coordinating dies. Then I cut the Forest Backdrop out of some Black Licorice Cardstock.

I blended the background with Distress Oxide Inks, including Mustard Seed for the fire glow, Speckled Egg for the smoky haze, and Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire for the night sky. I splattered some Starry Watercolors to look like stars. Then I added the grass from the Mushroom Border colored with Lucky Clover and Pine Needles. I popped the forest backdrop over top and added my images, and finished with a White Embossed sentiment and some Stardust Stickles.

Woodland Friends Card

Hello friends, welcome back! Today I have a sweet card to share using the adorable Hello Bluebird Word Buddies Woodland. That set is chock full of so many cute critters, that I had a hard time choosing only six of them to showcase on today's card (although I used two more on the inside!) I combined them with images from three other sets, Pig OutWoodland Littles, and McGregor's Garden. I colored them all with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the  matching dies.

For the background, I used the Gallery Frame #6 die to cut out two coordinating pieces of Echo Park A Slice of Summer 6x6 patterned paper. Then I traced the openings of the die onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock and blended on some Distress Oxide Inks. I used Tumbled Glass with the MFT Rolling Clouds Stencil to create the sky, and Mowed Lawn with the MFT Drifts & Hills Stencil. I popped the frame up with foam tape, added my images, and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

Showers of Joy Card

Hello everyone! We've been getting so much rain here that it seemed like the perfect time to create an after-the-storm scene using the adorable Singing in the Rain set by Hello Bluebird. I love the sweet girls in this set, and can't wait to use the other one soon, but for today I chose this one with her lovely smile and arm raised up in joy. And of course, I had to give her some ducklings to play with. I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I transformed the After the Rain Scene die just slightly, by turning some of the lower clouds into bushes, and covering up the bottom layer with a straight panel piece to create a sidewalk. I colored the whole thing with Distress Oxide Inks and I used so many! The sky and top cloud were done with Salvaged Patina and Stormy Sky, the rainbow with Kitch FlamingoCarved PumpkinSqueezed LemonadeTwisted CitronSalvaged Patina, and Shaded Lilac. The bushes were Mowed Lawn and Lucky Clover, and the sidewalk Hickory Smoke. I splattered some Starry Watercolors on the sky to look like shiny raindrops and finished with a sentiment stamped in Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

Garden Sunshine Card

Hello friends! Today I have a fun card to share featuring some sweet garden friends. I stamped out the adorable critters from the Hello Bluebird Bloom & Grow stamp set in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink. I colored them with Copic markers to match a piece of Echo Park A Slice of Summer 6x6 pad. Then trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I created a card base from MFT Sno Globe Cardstock and stamped my sentiment on that in Lawn Fawn Blue Jay Ink. Then I layered on two Grassy Knoll panels in Cilantro and Noble Fir. I added two Partly Cloudy clouds and adhered my images with foam tape and liquid glue. As a finishing touch, I added a touch of Stardust Stickles.

Make a Splash - Lawn Fawnatics #104

Hello friends, welcome to another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This round is all about our favorite summertime activity, and mine is definitely swimming! When I was a little girl, I loved to swim in my grandparents' pool and I would always pretend I was a mermaid and stay under water for as long as I could hold my breath. My card today honors those special memories! I used Mermaid for You Flip FlopMermaid for YouYou Are SublimeOcean Shell-fie, and Fintastic Friends. I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I blended Distress Oxide Ink onto a Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock panel. I used Salvaged PatinaPeacock FeathersLucky Clover and Pine Needles. Then I added some Liquid Stardust speckles, and created some light rays coming from the top right corner using one of the Plaid Stencils and some White Pigment Ink. Once that panel was dry, I trimmed it down with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and mounted it to a Rainforest card base.

I added my images with foam tape, and white heat embossed a sentiment onto a Black Licorice Stitched Circle Stackable to cover up a mistake I'd made on the card. Then I finished with some Clear Droplets, and Stardust Stickles for a bit of sparkle.
