Puppy Party Birthday Card

Are you a fellow dog lover? If so, this card should be right up your alley with these partying pups from Avery Elle's Hot Dog! Gah! These guys are just too cute! I saved one of them for the inside and stamped everybody else out and colored them with Copics, then trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my focal panel, I cut one long strip of MFT Sno Cone Cardstock and a Grassy Border using Lawn Fawn Noble Fir Cardstock. I adhered the grass with foam tape and added my images with a mixture of foam tape and liquid glue. Then I stamped my sentiment on a Spring Showers cloud with Peacock Ink. I layered the focal panel over top of Pebbles Happy Cake Day patterned papers and finished off the card with some Crystal Stickles.

1 Set 4 Ways - Episode 6 - Bear Hugs

Hello friends! Today I'm bringing you a new episode in my popular 1 Set 4 Ways series, were I show you four different card ideas using one stamp set. It's a great way to see if a stamp set is really as versatile as you hope it will be, by getting full use out of the entire thing in one go.

Today I am featuring a brand new company called Paperie Ink, that I recently found on Instagram and currently sells on Etsy. Since there are no matching dies, I stamped and colored each of the bears and sentiments from Bear Hugs on a separate panel, and trimmed them out with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Stackables.

Once I had my focal panels colored and set aside, I began to trim down my Pebbles Hey Hello 6x8 patterned papers using Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle StackablesParty Banners, and Everyday Sentiment Banners. I made four card bases out of Speckled Eggshell cardstock and began to layer the patterned papers until I was happy with the combinations of colors and prints.

I popped up my focal panels with foam tape for a bit of added dimension and finished off the cards with a bit of Crystal Stickles on the flower centers and the bee's wings. And I also did some stamping  on the insides of each card with Lawn Fawn's Doe ink.

To see how these cards came together, click below or watch on YouTube. And don't forget to hit that like button and subscribe if you enjoy it! It really helps me out and I appreciate it so much! I had a lot of fun playing with this set and am looking forward to see what they create next. By the way, this is absolutely not sponsored, I just really fell in love with these cute bears! Have a wonderful day!

One True Love Card - Lawn Fawnatics #71

Hey friends! Welcome to the 71st Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This round we are bringing it back, baby! Using an embellishment on our cards that we haven't used in a while. I chose to use twine, but before we get into that, let's go over the card. I love to mix and match sets and today I've got a whole bunch making up this cute little scene. I used Cheery ChristmasBicycle Built for YouOur Friendship Grows, and Critters from the Past

I colored them with Copics and trimmed them out with the matching dies. For my focal panel, I took the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames and watercolored a subtle blue background then stamped a sentiment from the Reveal Wheel Friends & Family Sentiments. Then I adhered my images with foam tape.

On my card base, I glued down two Spring Fling 6x6 patterned papers, slightly askew to show both patterns. Then I wrapped the card with Aquamarine Single Cord, which was my bring it back item. Then I popped my focal panel up with more foam tape. I finished off the card with a bit of Crystal Stickles and some stamping on the inside.

I created a video tutorial so you can see how this card came together. I hope you enjoy! If you do, please be sure to give it a like and subscribe! It means so much!

And now it's time to head over to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the design team has created to inspire you. And then you can pull out some of your old school supplies and play along! We can't wait to see what you make!

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - February

Hello and welcome to the February episode of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! Today I am happy to bring you a cute shaker card starring the new Birdie Brown Birthday Buds. This set is chock full of cute critters ready to celebrate! I chose to use the farm animals on this card but there are plenty to mix and match! I colored them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I created my background using the Cloud Stencil and some Distress Oxide Ink, then trimmed it down with the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2, and die cut the You Take the Cake Die-namics from the top right corner. I added the cut out letters to a white piece of cardstock layered behind to keep the design continuous, and turned it into a shaker!

To finish off the scene I used the Tucked In Turf Vertical and adhered my critters with liquid glue. Then I layered Sweet Celebrations patterned paper onto a Sno Cone card base and popped the focal panel over top.

I hope you enjoy the video tutorial! To watch, click below or visit the My Favorite Things YouTube Channel. And don't forget to hit that thumbs up button and leave me a comment to let me know how I did! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Valentine Card Series #7

Hi friends, today I'm excited to bring you a sweet friendship Valentine using some fall images! I love to stretch my stamps in new ways, and these cute critters from the fall-themed Leaf Play by Hello Bluebird are perfect for that. To make it a valentine card, I added the heart balloon from Elephant Friends. I colored my images with Copics and trimmed them out with the matching dies

For the focal panel, I watercolored a subtle background onto a Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Stackable and then adhered that to a Scalloped Circle Stackable cut from Apricot cardstock. I popped that up with foam tape over some Altenew Blushing Blooms patterned papers which were trimmed with the Stitched Rectangle Stackables and added a white heat embossed sentiment on Narwhal cardstock that was trimmed down with an Everyday Sentiment Banner. To finish off the card I added a few Sparkling Clear Sequins and filled in the holes with Crystal Stickles.

I really hope you all enjoy the video tutorial! If you do, please give it a like and consider subscribing. I would love to have your support! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Valentine Card Series #6

Hi friends! Today I'm back to share Day 6 in my 2020 Valentine Card Series, and I have to say, this has got to be my personal favorite. I'm using one of my all-time favorite stamp sets, Mama Elephant's Up and Away, and creating this card just made me fall in love with it all over again! This set is perfect because it can easily be converted to birthday, new baby, or any occasion themes with just a simple switch of the color palette. Speaking of color and favorites, I used my Copics to color these cuties and then trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I sponged Shaded Lilac Distress Ink onto some Bristol mooth Surface using the MFT Cloud Stencil. I trimmed off about a quarter inch so that when I adhered it to the Grapesicle card base you could see a little of that pretty purple showing on either side. I stamped my sentiment onto a Puffy Cloud Border and added a sprinkle of hearts from Good Reads in Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers Ink and Mini Heart Confetti to finish off the card.

I really hope you enjoy the video tutorial! If you did, I would love for you to hit that like button and subscribe! Your support means the world. Have an absolutely amazing day!

Hey friends! Today I'm here with a fun new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! Our theme is Lots of Love and we've got a beautiful, vibrant inspiration photo for you to use as your jumping off point.

For my card I combined the adorable Elphie Selfie with the How You Bean? Conversation Heart Add-onI colored the images with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens to give it that yummy watercolor texture from the inspiration photo, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I watercolored an additional panel to use as my background and when it was dry, cut it down with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and also cut out the Scripty Hugs from some Narwhal Cardstock. I adhered the background to more Narwhal Cardstock and added my images, using liquid glue for the Scripty Hugs and foam tape for the rest. I finished it off with a white heat embossed sentiment on Black Licorice Cardstock and a few Iridescent Crystals.

I also did some fun stamping on the inside with Hippo Ink which you can check out in the video. This is also Day 5 of my 2020 Valentine Series, so I do hope you enjoy it! Feel free to go back and watch from the beginning of the series if you missed any!
