Poppies for Remembrance with Right at Home

Hey friends! Today I'm back over at the Right at Home Blog with my third card using the gorgeous Anemone stamp set. This time I wanted to use them in a completely different way, so I decided to turn the base layer of the flowers into poppies.

I'll have all the details over there, so I'd love for you to hop on over and check it out. I also filmed a video tutorial on how the whole card came together. Click on the YouTube icon to watch it there in HD and don't forget to hit that subscribe button and show your support. It means so much.

Have a great day!

Happy Harvest Sunset - Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #13

Hey friends, happy Monday! It's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this time we've got a gorgeous mood board for you. Be inspired by the beautiful photos, color combo, or if you're like me -- both!

I wanted to create a fun fall sunset scene, and I invited a whole slew of critters from Jump for JoyForest Feast, and Happy Harvest to the party! I colored them all in with Copic markers, and threw in a few pumpkins and leaves for good measure.

The sunset was created by blending some Distress inks  in yellows and pinks on some Bristol Smooth cardstock, and I add some depth and dimension with the Stitched Tree Border and Stitched Hillside Border, and layered on my elements with liquid glue or foam tape.

All supplies are listed and linked in the description bar below the video. Click on the YouTube icon to watch it there in HD, and don't forget to like and subscribe! Your support sure means a lot.

Head on over to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog to check out the other Design Team samples and link up your mood board inspired projects to play along.

Have an awesome day!

Guest Designing at Right at Home

Hey friends! I'm thrilled to be guest designing over at the Right at Home Blog today using their beautiful Anemone stamp set. I'm just sharing a little sneak peek over here but I hope you'll hop over and check out the full card.

I also created a process video, since I tried a new technique -- coloring vellum. Click on the YouTube icon to watch the video there in HD, and please don't forget to subscribe if you like what you see.

Right At Home & MISTI Blog Hop

Hey friends! Welcome to the Right at Home/My Sweet Petunia Blog Hop! You should have come here from Stephanie's Blog, but not to worry! If you're just popping in here I'll have the entire list of hop participants down below.

The Right At Home Anemones is a three-step stamp set with so many options! For my card today, I decided to just use the outline images and do a loose watercolor with Distress Inks. The Mini MISTI came in so handy for lining everything up and making sure my stamping lines were nice and bold for heat embossing.

To finish things off, I added a two-part greeting from Fall Sentiments, layered my focal panel on some pretty patterned papers, and scattered a few clear sequins throughout.

I also finished off the inside, but I'll save that for the video. ;) Just click the play button below, or the YouTube icon at the bottom right corner to watch it there in HD. I hope you'll also consider subscribing if you like what you see. :)

You've nearly made it to the end of the hop! All that's left is to head over to My Sweet Petunia where they'll close things out. But be sure to go back to the beginning if you're just getting started! Leave a comment at every stop to be eligible to win one of TWO great prizes: winners choice of an Original or Mini MISTI, and a prize package from Right at Home! The deadline is September 8th at Noon (Central), and the winners will be posted on the Right at Home and My Sweet Petunia blogs on Tuesday September 12th.

Have an amazing day!

Enjoy the Ride - Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #12

Hey friends! Happy Labor Day! I hope you all are having a great one. Today also marks Lawn Fawnatics 12th Challenge and this round is all about creating scenes -- my favorite!

My beautiful cousin was getting married, so I had to make a fun wedding scene using Bicycle Built for You with the bride and groom colored to look like the happy couple. I also incorporated their wedding colors into the flowers and accessories. Lawn Fawn makes it so easy to personalize!

I used Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables and Zig Zag Rectangle Stackables for my layers and a Stitched Hillside Border for my slope. The gorgeous patterned papers were from the Kaisercraft Wildflower 6x6 and I added a bit of Crystal Stickles as an accent to finish things off.

No video today, since I was lucky enough to have my cousin Ashley come visit from Florida (it was her sister getting married), and she just happens to be a crafty girl too, so we had fun chatting away in my craft room while I created this card. I'll be back with a video and a blog hop tomorrow though, so stay tuned!

Now, please head on over to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog and check out the other amazing design team samples and create your scene cards to play along! I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
