2021 Holiday Card Series #2

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of my 2021 Holiday Card Series! Today I'm bringing you my first ever square Christmas card featuring the adorable Hello Bluebird Snow Play stamp set. This is an older set, but still one of my absolute favorites. The critters in it are just so sweet! I colored them all with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I cut the Gallery Frame #7 die from some Simple Stories Make It Merry patterned paper.

For the background, I stamped a sentiment and some snowflakes on MFT Sno Cone Cardstock with Lawn Fawn Mermaid Ink, then added two puffy cloud borders from Grassy Knoll to be my snowdrifts. I popped the frame up with foam tape, adhered my images with liquid glue, and finished off the card with some White Gel Pen details and Stardust Stickles. I also stamped on the inside, which you can check out in the video.

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - October

Hey friends, welcome to the October edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! This month these sweet llamas from Happy Llamadays stole my heart. What a fun take on a Christmas card! I love those little cacti strung with lights. I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I cut down a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX and blended on some Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink, then splattered it with some Gansai Tambi Starry Colors for the snowfall. I layered on a Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2 for my snowdrift, so it would look fluffy like my llama!

I created a card base from Sno Cone Cardstock and layered on some patterned paper from the Cool Collab 6x6 pad. I cut the striped prints down with an A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 and the red polka dot print with the Stitched Jumbo Fishtail Flags Die-namics. Then I popped up my focal panel with foam tape, added some white gel pen accents, and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

Cups of Thanks Card - Lawn Fawnatics #111

Hello and welcome to another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! The theme for this round is Coffee, Tea, and Treats, so I knew it was time to bust out my Thanks a Latte stamp set. I was really feeling the fall vibes though, so I combined it with You Autumn Know. I colored the images with Copics and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I created a background on a piece of Speckled Eggshell Cardstock. I used the Fall Leaves Background Stencils and Distress Oxide Inks in Salvaged PatinaCarved Pumpkin, and Gathered Twigs. I trimmed that down with one of the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and layered that onto a piece of Mermaid Cardstock trimmed down with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables, and then onto a Speckled Eggshell card base.

I also cut down a piece of Vellum with a Large Stitched Circle Stackable and adhered my images with a mix of liquid glue and foam tape. I stamped a sentiment in Doe Ink and trimmed it out with an Everyday Sentiment Banner. Then I finished up with a bit of Stickles.

Scare Up Some Fun Card

Hello friends, and happy Monday! Today seemed like a good time to share another Halloween card, using the adorable Hello Bluebird Boo Crew stamped set. These cute kiddos are just so much fun to color! I used my Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I die cut the Spooky Scene out of some Storm Cloud Cardstock.

For the background, I blended Distress Inks to create my sky, starting with Speckled Eggshell in the center, then Shaded Lilac, and a bit of Dusty Concord on the outside edges. Then I took the moon from Full Moon and blended it with Squeezed Lemonade and Antique Linen. I also added a Mermaid Cardstock frame. I stamped my sentiment on the moon, adhered my images, and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

Happy Haunting Card

Hey friends, today I'm back with another Halloween Card, this time using the super cute Hello Bluebird Good Fright stamp set, along with a few accessory images from Boo Crew. I colored all the images in with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I cut the Full Moon scene die out of some Black Licorice Cardstock.

To create my sky, I blended Distress Oxide Inks onto some Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock, using Cracked PistachioEvergreen Bough, and Pine Needles for my minty green sky, and Hickory Smoke to add a little shading to the moon. I layered everything together, stamped my sentiment on the moon, and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

Leaf-Lovin' Cats Card - Lawn Fawnatics #110

Hello and welcome to another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This time we've got an inspiration photo with the theme Spectacular Skies. For my card, I combined the sweet kitties from the new Purrfectly Wicked stamp set, along with images from Jump for Joy and A Bug Deal. I colored them all with Copic markers and trimmed them out with their matching dies.

For the background, I used the Cloudy Stencil to blend some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock for the sky, then used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn on a Simple Stitched Hillside Border for the ground. I added some gold splatters with the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors and stamped my sentiment in Noble Fir Ink.

On my Mermaid card base, I layered some Sweater Weather Remix patterned paper that I die cut with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables. Then I popped up my focal panel with Foam Tape, added all my images, and finished with a bit of Platinum Stickles.
