Fintastic Birthday Card - Lawn Fawnatics #199

Hey friends, it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, and this time we're embracing Summertime Fun! For my card, I pulled together some of my favorite under the sea sets, including Mermaid For YouOcean Shell-fieYou Are Sublime, and Fintastic Friends. I colored the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I blended Distress Oxides onto a panel of Bristol, using Speckled EggEvergreen Bough, and Pine Needles for the water and Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs for the sand, trimmed down with a Simple Stitched Hillside Border.

I stamped some greenery and tiny fish in the background with the Distress Oxides, and then added a sentiment in the top right corner in black ink. I adhered the background to a Lilac card base and then added my images to create the scene. I finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click the video thumbnail below, or you can find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope you enjoy it! I just love jungle-themed sets, and this one is so darling! I colored everything with Copic markers and trimmed the images out with their matching dies.

For the background, I blended Twisted CitronMowed Lawn, and Pine Needles Distress Oxide Ink onto a panel of Bristol that I trimmed down with the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I stamped an Essential Tag Sayings sentiment in the top right corner and glued that to a Noble Fir card base, then adhered my images.

Let's Shellebrate Card

Hey friends, today I have a beautiful underwater scene to share using the adorable Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Mermaid Isla. I adore this sweet mermaid, and she was so much fun to color! I combined her with images from Under the Sea Creatures, masking off to create a one-layer scene, then colored it in, background and all, with Copic markers.

When it was done, I trimmed down the focal panel with the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables to give it that nice finished edge and glued that to a Hyacinth card base. I added a greeting from the Mermazing Sentiment Set on an Everyday Sentiment Banner and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

Sky's the Limit Card - Lawn Fawnatics #198

Hey friends, it's the first Monday of a brand-new month, and that means it's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! This is a fun one: it's Up, Up, and Away. For my card, I combined the hot air balloons from Flying High with the cute little birds from Heart Tree and It's a Bird! Since I'm still recovering from a neck injury, I kept the color palette really limited and shared several tips throughout the video for creating simplified cards that don't look too plain. I hope that you find them helpful!

After coloring the images with Copics and trimming them out with the matching dies, I created a focal panel by trimming down some Spiffy Speckles 6x6 paper with the Large Stitched Rounded Rectangle Stackables. I added some Spring Showers clouds and stamped part of my sentiment. The rest of the word was die cut out of Lobster Cardstock using Finley's ABCs.

I popped the focal panel up with foam tape over some more patterned paper from Pint-sized Patterns: Summertime and What's Sewing On layered onto a Moonstone card base. I added my images and finished the card off with some tiny iridescent stars and a bit of Stardust Stickles.

I really hope you enjoy this one! You can watch the video tutorial by clicking the thumbnail below, or find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. Thanks so much for checking it out! Be sure to visit the Lawn Fawnatics blog to see what the rest of the design team created and to link up your own projects to play along. We can't wait to see what you create!

Hello Sunshine Card

Hey friends, today I have a sweet and summery card to share using a darling image. This cutie is the Tiny Townie Ally Loves Ice Cream by Stamping Bella. Isn't she precious? I had so much fun coloring her and creating a background with my Copic markers. Then I trimmed her down with the second largest of the Lawn Fawn Large Mini Slimline Stackables.

I popped her up with foam tape over a some patterned paper from the Carta Bella That's My Girl 6x6 pad and added a sentiment from the Stamping Bella Beach Vibes Sentiment Set trimmed down with a Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banner. Then I finished up with a little Stardust Stickles.

I really hope you enjoy this one! If you'd like to see how it came together, click the video thumbnail below, or you can also find the tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. Thank you so much for watching. Have an absolutely lovely day!

Tulip Bouquet Card - Lawn Fawnatics #197

Hey friends! It's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, and it's Dies Only this round! I've been itching to use the Terrific Tulips, so I knew I had to start there. I trimmed the blooms out of LilacSticky Note, and Ballet Slippers Cardstock and added shading with Shaded LilacMustard Seed, and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink. I cut the stems and leaves from Cilantro and shaded with Mowed Lawn.

I wanted to add a sprig of Lovely Lily of the Valley, so I cut the blossoms from Fog Cardstock and the stems and leaves from Algae. To gather my bouquet, I trimmed the Flower Bouquet Wrap from some Bitsy Blooms 6x6 patterned paper, and the bow from Guava Cardstock shaded with Worn Lipstick.

I covered the card base with more Bitsy Blooms patterned paper and added my bouquet at a little angle, leaving room for my Everyday Sentiment Banner with a phrase from Magic Heart Messages. I finished up with a sprinkle of Clear Sequins and some Stardust Stickles.

Happy Bee-day Card

Hey friends, today I've got a card that is sweet as honey! Haha. I was so excited to ink up the Bee My Gnomie stamp set from Clearly Besotted. Since there are no matching dies, I masked off a little scene with a post it, stamping on Spectrum Noir White Cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and coloring with my Copic markers.

The focal panel was trimmed down with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Stackables. Then I cut down four different prints from the Simple Stories Say Cheese Classic Pooh 6x8 paper pad. Two of them I just used my paper trimmer, but on the other two I used the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Circle Stackables and Stitched Party Banners. I finished with some Clear Sequins and Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click the video thumbnail below, or you can find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope that you enjoy it and find it buzz-worthy! Ha! Thanks so much for watching. I so appreciate your support. Have a wonderful day!

Bookshop Pull 'n Slide Surprise Card - Lawn Fawnatics #196

Hey friends, today it's time for a new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, and this is a really fun one! It's our Inspired By Challenge, where we take a card or project by another Lawn Fawn or Lawn Fawnatics design team member and use that to inspire our own project in tribute. There are so many incredible designers to choose from, but I decided to go with Megan Burnette, who inspires me all the time with her fun, full scenes and gorgeous color palettes.

This is the card of Megan's that I chose as my inspiration. I just loved the bookshop theme, and I actually gave my version of this card to the staff at my local, independent bookstore for National Independent Bookstore Day last weekend. That bookstore is my happy place, and it's all thanks to the incredible staff who have made it such a welcoming space to be.

I combined so many different sets on this card, including Little Woodland LibraryLittle Woodland Library FriendsSimply Celebrate HangoutsApple-solutely AwesomeDen Sweet DenPurrfectly WickedVirtual Friends Add-on, and the Porcupine for You Add-on. All of the images were stamped in Jet Black Ink and colored with Copic markers.

I did want to give my card a twist to make it a bit different than Megan's, so I turned it interactive by using the new Pull 'n Slide Surprise. I love the dimension that it creates on a card when you pull the tab, and the staff at the bookstore thought it was a super cool feature!

This one is definitely better seen in video than pictures, so if you'd like to see how it came together, click the thumbnail below, or you can also find the tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. Thanks so much for watching! I really appreciate your support! Have a wonderful day, and don't forget to play along with us at Lawn Fawnatics.

Purrfect Birthday Card Duo

Hey friends, today I've got TWO new projects to share, it's a cute kitty card duo! I have so many birthdays in my family in May, so I am desperately in need of more birthday cards. So I decided to do more multiples. Both of these cards feature the adorable images from the Honey Bee Meow & Furever stamp set, which I stamped on Catherine Pooler Favorite White Cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink.

Because I don't own the matching dies to this set, I trimmed down the panels with the Lawn Fawn Lacy Rectangle Stackables, then colored them with my Copic markers to match the layers of Carta Bella Secret Garden 6x6 patterned paper. I finished up with a trio of clear sequins and some Stardust Stickles.

If you'd like to see how these cards came together, click the video thumbnail below, or you can find the tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope you enjoy it! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch. I'm so grateful for your support! Have a wonderful day!

Hey friends, today we've got a super fun challenge for you at Lawn Fawnatics: Bingo Board! Pick any column, down, across, or diagonal, and use the prompts to inspire you. For my card today, I chose N down, rainbow, critter, patterned paper, bright, and foam squares. The new Little Woodland Library Friends is the star of the show here, with supporting characters from Little Woodland LibraryBackyard Bird Feeder Add-on, and Apple-solutely Awesome.

I stamped the images in Jet Black Ink onto Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock and trimmed them out with the coordinating dies. Then I also trimmed out a focal panel of Bristol Cardstock with the Large Stitched Circle Stackables and did a simple watercolor background using Broken China and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink.

I layered some Bitsy Blooms 6x6 patterned paper onto a Mermaid card base, then trimmed down a piece of Pint-sized Patterns: Summertime with the Scalloped Circle Stackables and using that to mat my focal panel. I popped that up with foam tape for a bit of dimension. I added an Everyday Sentiment Banner and a little Stardust Stickles to finish things off.
