Hello friends, welcome to Lawn Fawnatics #75: Spectacular Skies! What a fun challenge! For my card, I decided to take a cue from the inspiration photo and create a beautiful night sky to serve as the backdrop for my swans. I colored all my images from Swan Soirée with Copics, giving them a nice moonlit glow, then trimmed them out with the matching dies.
To create my night sky, I first masked off a circle in the center, then used a Mini Ink Blending Tool to sponge on Distress Oxide Inks in Mustard Seed, Worn Lipstick, Seedless Preserves and Blueprint Sketch. I also created a Meadow Border panel with Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, and Mowed Lawn. Once I removed the mask, I colored the circle with Copics to look like a moon.
I trimmed down the sky background with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables, adhered it to my Moonstone card base, added my grass, and then the pond stamped with Blue Jay Ink. Then I filled up my scene with the colored images. As a final embellishment I used a White Gelly Roll Pen to add stars to my sky.
