It's Kelly Marie Alvarez, of our beloved Lawn Fawn's, birthday today!

She's turning 33!

A bunch of us wanted to throw her a virtual birthday party,

Kelly Marie is one of the sweetest people on the planet, seriously.

She's kind, generous, thoughtful, and just a cheerful burst 

of bright sunshine on any given day.

I wanted to make a really special card for her, create something totally 

out of the box, and here's what I came up with:

Hugs From Bamboo

Good Monday morning, everybody!

I hope you all had a relaxing, enjoyable weekend.

Today I'm popping in with a more masculine card,

which would really work for either gender.

I used Party Paws "Hugs From Bamboo" from Crafter's Companion

and colored him in wit my Speccies

BG1, BG4, BG6, BG8, CT2, CT3, CT4, CR8, CR11, DR7, and TB1 

on Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock.

A Little Note from Fairy Grace

Good morning, everyone!

How are you this fine September morning?

I've got another card to share with you.

Today I've used the stamp set Angelica and Friends "Grace"

from Crafter's Companion, and colored her with Speccies

FS2, FS3, PP1, PP3, PP5, BT1, BT2, TB5, TB6, CT2, CT4, 

CR8, CR11, DR7, IG1, CG1, and CG2 

on Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock.

I also added a little Wink of Stella glitter pen to her wings, 

but I find it really difficult to pick up on camera.

In real life, it adds such a beautiful shimmer though!

This round is all about favorites and my favorite set

(this week anyway, there's so many cute ones to choose from!)

is Critters On The Savanna.

I also couldn't resist using a sentiment from my first ever favorite set,

Critters In The 'Burbs.

I also love clouds, birds, polkadots, grid, and chevron,

all of which I incorporated into my card.

I even used my favorite border punch!

Rustic-Style Thinking of You ~ with Video Tutorial

Good morning, everyone!

How are you all today?

Yesterday after work I got a chance to play with some new inks,

the Memento Luxe by Tsukineko, and boy are they fabulous!

Not only do they stamp beautifully on paper,

they also work on a number of surfaces from wood to fabric!

I chose to try them out on a bit of canvas.

I used the Stamp-It Australia "Dreamy Daisies" set

from Crafter's Companion and even filmed a video tutorial.

Are you getting back into the swing of the new school year?

Hard to believe that summer is already over.

I had my last picnic of the summer on Saturday

with my writers group -- always love spending time with

those amazing, insightful, wonderful people!

One of my friends there actually ordered a batch of 20 cards

from me, which was awesome!

Here's one that I made for her:

I used the Soufflé the Duck stamp from Popcorn The Bear "Someone Special"

and a sentiment from Party Paws "Flowers From Bamboo".

I colored it in with Spectrum Noirs 

BT2, OR1, CT4, CT2, DG3, CG1, and CG2

on Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock.

I think it's sweet!

Bamboo ... Just for you

Happy Friday, everyone!

Are you excited? I know I am!

Yesterday was my kids first day back to school and today is my day off,

and the first chunk of time I have had ALL BY MYSELF since 

school let out at the beginning of last June!

I am super stoked.

I am going to get an extra large mocha and read a book,

wander through the local craft stores, 

and just enjoy those couple hours all by my lonesome. 

I mean, I love my kids, but a Mama needs ME time too, you know? 

Keeps her sane! ;)

Anyway, before I head out I wanted to share this card with you:
