Snail Mail Card - Sunny Studio Feature

Hey friends, I'm back with my weekly Wednesday feature on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog. Today I'm featuring the cute new mini set Snail Mail, which I paired with Harvest Mice. I'll have all other supplies listed and linked over there, as well as below the video on YouTube.

This is actually my final post with the Sunny Studio design team! I've stepped down as of today to just cut back a little and hopefully find a bit more time to relax in 2021. I had a wonderful time serving on this incredible team and I'm so grateful for my time with them.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click below or watch on YouTube. And if you enjoy it, please be sure to like, comment, and subscribe! This is also my final video of 2020! But I'll be back on January 1st with a recap video of all the cards I made this year. Thanks so much for all your love and support! You guys are the best!

Cool New Year Card - Lawn Fawnatics Feature

Hey friends! Today I'm excited to share a fun New Year's card that I created for our current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. This was actually shared in a post last Friday, but since it was Christmas Day and I already had a card going live for Lawn Fawn that morning, I posted about the first and then got caught up doing family things and forgot to post this one later on. So sorry about that! I hope you'll forgive me. Since I had planned to have the video go live today anyway, just to space them out a bit, hopefully posting it today makes sense anyway.

Anyway, that post is linked HERE, so I hope you'll hop over and check it out. I used the cute yeti from Yeti or Not, and I'll have all supplies and details over there. I also have the video tutorial, so if you'd like to see how this card came together, click below or watch on YouTube. If you enjoy it, please remember to like, comment, and subscribe. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

My nephew has had pet axolotls for the past five years, so I was super excited to see this new mini set! I colored a pair of them to look like Thunder and Lightning in their aquarium. I'll have all other supplies and details listed over there, so I hope you'll check it out.

Magic Iris Snow Globe - Lawn Fawnatics #91

Hello and welcome to Lawn Fawnatics #91! For our final challenge of the year, we are saying goodbye and good riddance to 2020 and ushering in the new, and hopefully better, year. For my project, I decided to create an interactive card using the Magic Iris and the Magic Iris Snow Globe Add-on. The little snowmen and village from Ready Set Snow were the perfect images to put inside my Snow Globe. I colored them with Copics and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I used the Let It Shine 6x6 papers to die cut the snow globe and sausages, then cut out the rest of the magic iris pieces with White Cardstock. I built my mechanism and added the snow globe on top, then accessorized it with elements cut from Narwhal and Storm Cloud Cardstock. At the bottom, I heat embossed a gold sentiment using Merry Messages.

I cut down the striped print with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and layered that on my card, then added the snow globe and decorated it inside and out with my images. I also added a few snowflakes to give it that snow globe effect, and finished off the card with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

And now it's time to head over to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog and check out the amazing creations the Design Team has to inspire you. We can't wait to see what you make!

Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things - December

Hey friends! For my second post today, I'm bringing you the December edition of Christy Gets Crafty with My Favorite Things! For this card, I'm taking a break from all the winter-themed cards and jumping forward to Spring with this sweet fox from Let's Curl Up. After all this time spent making holiday cards, I'm in desperate need for some birthday cards, so I added a little gift from Birdie Brown Birth-Yay. I colored all the images with Copic Markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I took some Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock and die cut it with the Elegant Rectangle STAX. Then I blended on Distress Oxide Inks in Tumbled Glass and Broken China for the sky and Twisted Citron and Bundled Sage for the grass, which I cut down with the Grassy Hills Die-namics. On the bottom one, I stamped my sentiment.

I chose four different prints from the Spring Whimsy 6x6 pad and die cut the floral and plaid with the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2, the peach-colored print with the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2, and the green print with another of the Elegant Rectangle STAX. I layered these on top of a Sour Apple card base and popped my focal panel up with foam tape.

If you'd like to see how this card came together, click below or watch on the My Favorite Things YouTube Channel! And if you enjoy it, please like the video and leave a comment to let me know how I did! It really means so much. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Warm & Cozy Wishes Card

Hey friends! I'm so excited to bring you today's card. I absolutely loved creating it! It stars the adorable Hello Bluebird Coffee Friends stamp set. These critters were such a pleasure to color with my Copic Markers! Once they were done, I trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I took the Hello Bluebird Skating Pond Scene and die cut it out of white cardstock, then added some details to the snow drifts and trees with Copics. I also stamped a sentiment in Lawn Fawn Hippo Ink in the bottom right corner. I also die cut the sky with Bristol Smooth Surface and blended on Distress Inks to create a sunset sky. I added my critters and finished off the card with some Stardust Stickles.
